I have to do this song and dance every single patch but once again I tested EotB + presets and everything works completely fine, PLEASE check your load order (new patches can shuffle these around in case you weren't aware!) and don't mix and match bg3mm with the in-game mod manager unless you know what you're doing as it can mess up your load order as well!
ImpUI is no longer a requirement, if you still experience UI issues make sure you're using UI mods updated for Patch 8 or as a last resort try the Patch 8-lite version ImpUI.

With the drop of the last patch for this game (and as I have stated in my profile bio), I'm on an indefinite modding hiatus and will not be actively updating any of my BG3 mods for the foreseeable future, including this one.
Head/race mod authors are still completely free to upload their own EotB patches (and I thank them sincerely for their efforts <3) but requests for additions or updates here will be ignored, and are better directed at the authors themselves (if they are open to creating patches, please respect their decision either way).
Have a good one everyone, I appreciate any support and kind words given over the years <3
Load order? See the screenshot in Images tab, or check the main page. To iterate; load all the EotB mods LAST. ALWAYS. All your other mods go BEFORE these (which means they go higher than EotB in BG3MM). Very few exceptions could possibly exist for this advice! Some of you are playing with 200+ mods (which is your god given right), but you cannot reasonably expect for me to know which one of them could possibly be conflicting with EotB.
Can you turn X into a seperate eye color option? No, the eye presets cannot be turned into seperate/standalone eye color options in CC. This is not how eye materials work - as textures (these dictate iris and pupil shape/size + various other effects) HAVE to be directly attached to heads. Believe me, if I could make them standalone, then I would've built the mod that way!
Why are the eyes on all heads changed? The main mod replaces eyes on ALL character creator player heads (not npcs or origin characters) to a blank default, and the eye preset overwrites this again to insert its eye designs. No, I will not create versions where only some are replaced, you are free to edit my files for PERSONAL USE and do this yourself. If you scroll through the comments you should find a long post where I explain how to do this.
The mod isn't working, all my eyes are just black or white! This mod consists of the MAIN mod and EYE PRESETS, using both is REQUIRED - or else you will get plain black/white sclera eyes, as this means at least the main mod is loaded. I STIPULATE THIS IN SEVERAL PLACES. If you can't get the eyepreset to show up, swap the loading order of both mods - the eyepreset has to load AFTER. In BG3 Mod Manager this means that the eye preset is below the main mod.
Why doesn't the preset work with heterochromia? I want one eye to look like x and one eye to look vanilla. No, you cannot use heterochromia with any eyepresets in a way where one eye looks like the preset's one, and the other looks like the vanilla one. Only with the Extra Eye Eolors mod can you get one blind eye and one regular eye, I cannot recreate this with any other preset because Blindness is a parameter Larian themselves have built-in.
I'm getting an error with Vortex! Don't use Vortex, I've made BG3 Mod Manager a requirement on all my mods because Vortex has a tendency to bug out with BG3 mods. I cannot help you if Vortex causes issues for you.
Permissions? I'm willing to add compatibility with any head/race mod - but generally I recommend asking the original author's whether they wish to create patches themselves instead (as it gives them more control over updates - I am but one person juggling multiple projects + general life so I won't always be able to be on top of this).
Head/Race creators: You have blanket permission to make patches yourself, you don't need to ask - I appreciate being informed about it is all! Even if we both add compatibility without realizing, nothing will break regardless.
Third-party creators: You do have to ask permissions for creating patches (from both me AND the original head/race mod authors, unless they specify otherwise) and I'd generally prefer third-party patches to not be created if not necessary as it can create confusion for end-users (and me). So in this case I re-iterate, ask the original authors if they prefer to create a patch themselves or have EotB natively add compatibility - if they say no to both but you have permission to create a patch, then you're fine to do so.

Hi. After patch 8 the preset doesn't seem to work anymore. I used the glow eyes preset. The main file seems to work fine, eyes are are fully white or black if they're demonic. I've made sure to load the preset after the main file and have tried several spots in the load order, even when I had no other mods it still didn't work.
Just want to say I'm experiencing the same issue, using blind eyes preset. Main file is fine, but when adding the preset it's as if the mod is not installed.
Edit: Found something interesting...based on the patch info about ImprovedUI features mostly being implemented as part of the base game, I decided to disable ImprovedUI Patch8 just to see what would happen. I am now seeing the blind preset. Although it seems fragile; when I was clicking through the eye options, selecting any of the black sclera options made the blind preset disappear. Selecting Randomize Appearance and then going back to the eye options brought the blind preset back.
I've noticed an issue: the Cat Eyes Preset isn't working, and CatGlowEyes is working but not glowing. The characters I'm using are human and half-elf. Could this be due to their race?
I think there needs to be an update. I'm having the same problems, i use the cat eye prefix on my tiefling before and now its not working. I tried elf and it only shows up on certain head presets. I think all the races are affected.
I have it in the correct load order too not sure if the in game mod manager keeps moving it around and that why is isn't showing up. I tried correcting it in the in game mod manager by making the last two things to enable so it would be at the bottom of the load order in Bg3mm but still nothing has worked, and it worked before...
yup, happening to me too. tried moving the base mod and preset to the bottom of the load order since thats what fixed it when i was having issues a few months ago, but im still getting white eyes.
Note 1: I don't take requests for custom eye designs, please use my mod template TemplateEyes + attached guide if you wish to learn how to create presets with custom eye designs!
Note 2: I don't take eyecolor requests for the ExtraEyeColors mod. I highly suggest checking out Padme's amazing P4 Custom Eye Colours - it includes a sample template that will allow you to create your own!
Please avoid comment clutter by checking whether your request is already on the list above/on the main page or the author already has available patches (ask if they're working on any as well!), and don't post duplicate requests (aka ones that others have already asked for in the thread), thank you!
Hey thanks for all your work! Was wondering if you could add compatibility for Hot As Bloody Hell - Astarion’s Face for Tav by Bishounen159? Take care and much appreciated!
Hi, could you mabe add compatibility for New Character Creation Presets WIP but version 1.7? It would help a lot. Either way, great mod thank you for your work! :)
Thank you so much for all your hard work!! Could you please make this compatible with Myky's Heads by myky24? (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/11274). Thank you again!
Edit: Sorry, I just found the patch from myky24 for compatibility. Please disregard and have a great day!
This is one of my must have mods! Thank you for creating this and all your work on it. <3 It looks like Spirited Seasons - Playable Eladrin is no longer compatible. Would this be able to have compatibility re-added?
Thank you so much for sharing your creation with everyone as well as offering to make patches. I was wondering if you would please patch my head mods to work with your wonderful creation
Eye preset brings up the change in the pupil...so if I select "Cat eyes" or "Gith eyes" any eye for my TAV will have that specific pupil, right? 🤔
...and Regular pupils (glow) allows to have the glowing eyes also for races which don't generally have glowing eyes if they use an eye color from a race which does have glow, right? ...and, if I want just to have glowing options for humans, for example, but not change the pupil in any way I should opt for this specific preset, right? 🤔
I've tried looking for posts regarding this specific question, but it is hard with the comment search on Nexus being disabled. Is it possible for me to change a single eye of a non-glowing preset to be a blank glowing one? I want to play multiplayer and the character I'm going to make has blank white glowing eyes, but my friends just want normal looking non-glowing eyes, so I was wondering if it is possible to have both in the same preset.
I am having a bit of trouble switching presets -- I started off with the Various Abberation Alt preset and decided to switch to the Cat Eye preset for a different playthrough. However, even though the switch has been made and load order is correct based on the provided screenshots, I only see the previous preset options available. Is anyone else having a similar issue or know what went wrong on my end?
I added some mods and when I went back to save, none of my flaming eyes from the base game were working, I already removed the beholder eyes, I already removed the aberration, I did a lot of things, I removed the new mods and my eyes weren't coming back from the base game ( they stopped the animation like, it's just the white pupil without fire or animation), someone help me please
