Welcome to the comments section! I'm not currently taking requests to patch other hair mods. If you are the author of a race mod, however, feel free to reach out about adding your race to the Custom Races patch!
As of icon patch v.1.8.1, the file structure was changed so that the next time THS updates, you should be able to see the new hairs with or without the icon patch active(the new hairs just will have Toarie's icon). This also means that if the icon patch is inactive, you don't need to also remove it from your mods folder.
Things to do if the mod isn't working: - Check that all files are up-to-date - When using BG3MM, save the load order & click "Export Order to Game" - When in doubt: delete & reinstall both mods (sometimes files get corrupted while downloading) - See if the problem you're having is here in the comments or reported as a bug If it still isn't working and you want to ask for help, please mention that you have tried all of the above, as well as a description of what is happening (i.e. are the icons still Toarie's default? or they they blank or look like question marks? are certain hairstyles not showing up at all? etc.) and a screenshot of your load order. If I can't replicate the problem myself, there's not much I can do to help (especially since I don't use Vortex). If you're using it in a "Collection", ask the curator.
If you're using the Vortex mod manager, please know that there is a reason why so many people say to use BG3MM instead. Sure, it's more convenient to use one mod manager for multiple games, but that comes with the trade off that it isn't necessarily the most reliable way to manage your mods. BG3MM is specifically *for* BG3 mods, and seems to have far fewer issues.
(4/12/2024) I have no interest in providing support for any of DarthRen's mods, including "Tav's Hair Mixer".Please stop asking. Also, I have tentatively decided to re-enable downloading through Vortex. I maintain that I can't help you if you encounter problems though, and you're better off either asking someone who uses Vortex for help or switching to BG3MM.
I have recently published my new mod Merfolk Race and would love if it was possible to add my race to your Custom Race patches (if you are free and willing, of course :-) ).
To keep all the information together, the race UUID for Merfolk is: 66a100fc-06bc-446a-92d6-ee266e4234ec
Thank you so much for your time and your efforts! -Medusae
Hello. Thanks for your mods. They improve the gaming experience so much. (thumbs up)
I wanted to mention something that puzzles me with the file versions. I had perfectly working mods. Then I installed the game + mods again on another PC, redownloading the latest files from Nexus. I couldn't get the autosnap icons to show up. Played around with the order in BG3MM, but no way to get them to show up. Then I noticed that, on my older system the autosnap patch version was 1.8, whereas the latest file, I just downloaded for the new system was v1.0.2. So I downloaded the V1.8 file from the "old files" list and everything worked fine again. So my problem is solved, but I thought I'd mention it in case others encounter this. Also it does seem strange that the "current" downloadable file version number has decreased. And as it didn't work for me, could it be that a wrong file was published by accident ?
hi! i downloaded your mod specifically for compatability with the ghastly ghouls undead mod. however there are only a few hairs available to masc undead, i was just wondering if this is by design or if i've messed something up? i've double and triple checked and i have all the requirements. they're also pretty far down in my load order. any help would be appreciated. thanks ! :>
Ghastly Ghouls uses githyanki bodies as a sort of base (at least for the main one; I know it was recently updated so that there is a duplicate race which uses normie body types, but I haven't gotten around to adding that duplicate race to the patch yet). Masc gith are not the same height as the other masc normies but actually a bit shorter.
So basically: whatever hairs Toarie made compatible with masc gith are the hairs that get patched for masc undead.
This isn't a patch 7 thing, nor is it really an issue, I'm just curious (: I have tav's hair salon downloaded, along with her autopack For the OG download everything works perfectly, but at the very end of the tav's hair salon list, there are about 4 or 5 icons with different hairstyles, but when you click they come up not found. Only wondering because they actually look like really cute hairstyles hahaha Thank you sm for the mod though, it just makes everything a little easier
Could you tell me which hairs and/or show me a screenshot? And have you tried re-downloading the files (as sometimes Nexus's servers stutter and can mess with downloads and whatnot)? I'm not seeing any problems on my end.
Sounds like you're seeing the gith-only hairstyles in tavs hair salon, when pre-patch 7 may have hid them. idk if THS or this patch would be causing that
hairs it won't let me send the image here, but I posted the screenshot and linked it here the one on the top left is Tav's Hair Salon 150 in my game, I have up to tav 161 I believe and the autosnap pack. these are just not found also this is my first time commenting so sorry if I'm doing this the hard way lol, I need to learn more. I don't think they're githyanki only because they show up bald too, but I haven't played every race so they could be for particular heads or something. Thank you for taking time to respond haha
Have you updated THS? It is currently on version 1.9.7.1 and according to the download history the last version you downloaded was 1.9.6 (although the Nexus "View Download History" thing isn't always reliable) And if you are up to date, what race(s) have you noticed this happening with?
I swear I'm not absolutely stupid but yeah no it wasn't up to date lmfao
I thought I updated it weeks ago, but Vortex failed me lol Thank you for taking the time to respond, especially when the answer......update it hahaha I appreciate it a ton
9/5/2024: I haven't started porting this over to the toolkit/Patch 7 yet but this & Tav's Hair Salon should still work fine on Patch 7 since they don't edit the UI.
9/9/2024: THS & my icon patch work fine on Patch 7. The custom races patch should work fine as well. For various reasons, I am not currently planning on porting this mod to the toolkit/Mod.io.
Friendly reminder to be patient with mod authors! Not everyone joined the toolkit test, & even those who did join did not necessarily prioritize porting their existing mods over (I personally spent a lot of time working on new stuff in order to familiarize myself with the toolkit, then suddenly it's revealed that there was just a week till Patch 7 release). Plus, not everything can be ported over to the toolkit, & some things that can are just easier to do manually anyway (like custom CC icons, at least in my opinion lol).

Current Versions as of 5/11/2024:
THS Icon Patch: 2.0.0 (compatible with Tav's Hairpack V.2.0.0.0)
THS Patch - Custom Races: CR.2.0.0 (compatible with Tav's Hairpack V.2.0.0.0)
THS Icon Patch - Autosnap Pack: 1.0.1 (compatible with Toarie's Autosnap Hairpack V.1)
