This mod only patches for the visual effect files that custom head mods need to add their heads to in order for effect like Speak with Dead to work and make the eyes glow.
Only required if using one of the head mods from this article
This will be in the override section of your mod manager and can remain there.
If you want to use another head mod that isn't covered by this patch but does work for Speak with Dead, please remove this mod from the Mods folder in order for their vfx to work.
Patch 7 As of Patch 7 the above mod is the only one I am continuing to maintain until it is no longer required to do so.
The reason for this, is there is now a more compatible method for adding content to the Races.lsx. It is called MergedInto.
This article now covers all the previous patches. Which can be found under optional in the files section. This includes a list for the Patch 6 version of the Patches for CC Races
The Patches for CC Races will now only be maintained for fixes and removals of mods from it. However that version will be Patch 7 only. If on Patch 6 please stick to the previous patches for CC Races.

Here is an article on mods that still are covered by the Patch 7 version of the Patches for CC Races and also ones no longer covered by the Patch 7 version of the mod. Such as mods that have updated for Patch 7 and no longer need the patch to be compatible with other mods
hey so I've been remodding my bg3 and for some reason Half Demon (Cambion) only works with your mod it removes the model on the body for everyone but the cambion but when I remove CC.Races the body models come back but the cambion models are missing now I moved the mods in a different order and still finding the same problem yet the cambion only works with CC.Races but breaks everything else and I was hoping you could help me out or give me some info on this problem of mine
Hi CC races shouldn't affect the bodies at all, sounds like it could be possibly another issue. Just to confirm you are on patch 7 when using the 5.1.0.0 version of CC Races?
Sorry if this has been answered before but each time I start the game, I have to manually enable the VFX patch in the in-game modlist. Do I need to do this each time I launch the game, or does it override regardless?

Unfortunately I'm having some issues regarding your Patches_for_VFX_Heads mod, in combination with AkElka's Pearl - Seadragon - Dragonborn CC mod. There are no effects while using Speak with Dead. Your mod is in the override section of the mod manager. Allowing the mod to be placed in different places of the mod order didn't solve the problem.
Do you have any idea reagarding possible solutions for this problem?

For the face I didn't used the option from AkElka's Pearl - Seadragon - Dragonborn CC mod, but instead an option from AkElka's DMH Assets Pearl - Dragonborn CC mod. Now your VFX mod is working as intended. Sorry for the confusion ^^'
PS: Is it possible to make the VFX mod work with AkElka's DMH Assets Pearl - Dragonborn CC mod? If so, I would be very grateful :D Until then, Merry Christmas to you all :)
Is anyone else having an issue of the Veils of Faerun - beard slot and auto veils not appearing for the half-dragon? I've even isolated down to the essentials (may be dumb and missing something ultimately making this a user error)

Hi, this mod only patches for the null slot for other races for the veils. This also shouldn't be overriding any mods as it now injects into the race sections rather than overrides them.
Padme - This mod exists and is great! https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12409 (D&D Expanded) Is there magic you can work so the mods that allow full Mizora or at least Mizora head and coloring etc can be compatible with the cambion race, or is that the author's call?

Out of curiosity - Do you know if Larian removed the blood you see on the face, when Volo tries to remove the tadpole? I haven't seen it since Patch 7 landed and can't find any mention of it online.

If you are a modder and are interested in updating your mod so it works with the new MergedInto feature and/or Toolkit I made a guide Converting our Existing Mods to the Toolkit + Some Tips.
