Update: I have updated the PAK versions to be their own standalone mods as opposed to being published from the same project as the official mod manager versions^^
This should hopefully fix issues related to installing and uninstalling the mod if you have ever used both versions(Nexus and in-game manager) at the same time.
As a precaution please remove old versions of the mod and reinstall the updated PAK version of your choice. Check your "Baldurs Gate 3/Data/Mods" folder if the mod seemingly does not get uninstalled. Apologies for the issues, I did not expect this interaction between the two mod managers^^
As of right now I will be working on some other projects now that the mod-kit is available, including some new Tav hairstyles and some new Dragonborn customization options, if these interest you keep an eye out!
Thank you for all the love and support towards my mod and as always let me know if there are any issues with the new patch.
Please note: The replacer versions are the 'safest' versions. They can be added, swapped and removed mid-playthrough and new patches will not 'break' them unless Larian changes something drastic. They also do not require mod fixer or any other mod to work.
The PAK versions, as with any PAK mod, should not be removed mid-playthrough as you will very likely experience issues loading a save that is missing a PAK mod it previously had. A new patch might also require an update to the PAKs. Mod-fixer is also necessary for the PAK versions to work.
Please keep the above in mind when installing your chosen version.
I'm still here! Just been really busy and it's been a bit since I've dipped my toes into BG3 but I will endeavor to update both mods to work with the latest version of the game as soon as I am able^^ I tested all versions of the mod (Tav and Gale) and I've encountered no issues with patch 8.
If you are having issues it might be a mod conflict or another mod you have installed that needs an update. If you are having problems with the Tav version not showing up in CC please let me know which other mods you have installed that edit/add to the CC.
I will be updating the Tav version anyways, just to take advantage of the modkit update to hopefully minimize compatibility issues but this will take some time as I will be rebuilding the mod completely.
The Wizardly Updo - Tav version doesn't appear in the CC when the Gale Version isn't installed and activated. I tried with PAK and MOD.IO. Both need either the short or longer version to appear for Tavs.
Both(Nexus and Mod.io) seems to conflict with "Horns of Faerun". Your mod must be loaded after Horns of Faerun to work.
Also your Tav edition mod has a curious side effect. I'm playing on german and your mod changes all the supported races and their descriptions into english (which was a help to finding the problem^^)
That is incredibly bizarre, both my mods only add meshes, all using vanilla materials and textures and an edit to the associated char creation and races files that simply serve to recognize both meshes as usable by the game. I will test things on my end but I am quite stumped as to how my mods could be causing these issues given the simplicity behind them. I will also try and fiddle with the dev-kit more to see if I can simplify the mod even more to increase compatibility.
The description of the race appears in English due to the english.xml file in the Localization folder. After deleting the file, the races description appears as Not Found. Please solve it.
It seems your mod is in conflict with this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12315?tab=files
If I put your mod under it, that mod doesn't show up but if i put that mod under yours, your hair mod won't show up for CC. Its ashamed because i like your mod and want to pairs it with the beard available with that mod. Will there be a possible fix for this rather than choose one over the other?
I added it to the game via the in game mod manager. Does it conflict with the Appearance Change Origins mod? Everyone now is pale with blue eyes and blonde hair when I try to select any origin characters at the start of a new game.
I was told on the reddit to come back and let you know it might be a conflict between the two and the Updo messed with the zoom settings. Its probably an issue on my end, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to tell it here.
The new update breaks my save. Now the hairstyle is stuck and can't be changed from the mirror. I was using the older tav version and it was working just fine. Is this only safe to install with a new campaign?
Update: I switched to the mod.io version. That one is working for my current save.
