Hello, I hope this finds you well. The mod is awesome, and I have been loving it; I just have a question on how to modify something in the files. I want to change the description a bit, but I cannot for the life of me find a way to modify the files. Seeing as you've made the mod, what method should I use? Thanks!
Hey! I had missed this mod for some reason, but as a fellow emp simp I just wanted to say it's adorable <3 Have you thought of changing the ingame model to look similar to the icon (it's so beautiful!) and maybe making it wearable in another slot (head, etc)? :D
Emperor is a great and complex character who had so much potential to become a nontrivial, special and interesting romance, but...I guess Larian just chose to invest in more 'safe' options. Understandable *sigh*. Yet you made something more special, beautiful and romantic, more than devs did for the whole Emperor's 'romance', thank you really <3
Ooooooooohhhhh I would love a little trinket from my calamari lover. This is so adorable, I'm absolutely getting it. Is there a means of obtaining it via console with the BG3 script extender? That way i could add it right after the romance scene for Maximum Immersion ahahaa
I'm not actually sure about the script extender, I'm afraid. I've never really used it. However, if you use the tutorial chest summoning mod, you can simply grab it from there after the romance scene.
As an appreciator of the Emperor's character I can appreciate this mod and it's an instant download. Thanks for making it and I'll cross my fingers that you have the time and drive to create an icon that uses more illithid appropriate visuals I'll be keeping an eye on this. :)
I have a small suggestion, it is not a demand at all or an expectation but I feel a need to at least suggest it in the event you are open to them. A small tweak to the description might help with appealing to all the fans of the Emperor rather than a very niche one (aka Underdark Shushi enthusiasts). If it allows you to edit it, you might consider removing the "illithid lover" bit from the file download description and use something a bit more open for interpretation that can come across as both intimate and platonic at the same time? The simplest edit would be "A token of affection from the Emperor" but it could also be something fancier like "A token of affection from your astral keeper". It feels awkward as hell downloading this when I have no intention of romancing the Emperor. My main Tav? He has no issues with rolling in the astral hay with a 7ft squid monster and will do so without question, but my current girl I'm running a campaign for, not so much.
Like I said, it's just a suggestion for you to take or leave. If this mod is developed and meant ONLY for someone who wants to lean into illithid romance, which I have no issue with, honestly, then I will observe the intent and use this mod only on a playthrough which fits that narrative.

The original intent of the mod was as a gift for my fellow Empmancers, to make up for the unpleasant social experience of liking a complex character online. The main audience is people who see their Tavs and Durges in a romantic relationship with the character.
However, your comment got me thinking and I've decided you make a very good point. I would be happy for people who like the character platonically to be included. As such, you can find a version under Optional Files that adjusts the language to be inclusive of a cherished friendship and alliance, not just romance.
Curse Nexus for its lack of reply comment notifications. I'm super late but I wanted to thank you for the platonic addition! It's such a small thing but its something I appreciate you taking the time to add as an option. :) I can kit out my non empmancer Tavs for their loyalty so that's a nice perk! And I'm about to restart a new game with my main pro-empmancer Tav so I'll be popping the Platonic version on him during Act 2 then swap it out for the lover version during act 3 because I am all about a slowburn roleplay. If I had any skill with modding I'd tweak the platonic to be less powerful than it's lover equivalent, but that's what my imagination is for, no? Thanks again, friend!
is it at all possible to remove either the "Astral Insight" part - or perhaps maybe making "Xenoglossia" just a bit less overpowered? i would love to use this very much on my playthrough but it's a bit strong for what it is right now
if you aren't able/willing to do it yourself, would you be able to direct me to a tutorial on how i might edit it myself..? :o
