Regarding class mods compatibility: Unless there is a patch for the mod, don't expect it to work beyond level 12. Progression may be missing for those class levels and will cause the game to crash when you try to level up after level 12.
Common questions and bugs:(I'm seeing these pop up a lot) - XP resets after reloading a save A: There is nothing I can do. It is not something I control. - Can't level up after becoming full illithid A: This is a base game bug. - Will you make "X and Y" alternative XP patch? A: No, I will be keeping the variants I have for now. - Will you make a compatibility patch for "mod X"? A: Most likely not until I finish adding the missing features on my roadmap. - Does this mod support subclass/class/extra feats/spell slots mods? A: No, they are most likely not supported. - Player character is a lower level than companions A: Please see the Installation FAQ in the mod description
Wildshape Update 2024-12-14: Fixed Wildshape issue where most wildshapes disappeared for the Druid.
Root Cause: The only things I changed to fix the wildshape issue was the DisplayName and Description of the wildshape shouts. I don't know why this broke them in the first place, but my theory is that there was an issue with the descriptions earlier on and an update to the game made it stop working altogether.
Please bear with me as I wrangle with the official modtoolkit, I have a feeling it won't be a quick fix. Update 2024-12-15: The update is now also live in-game! It will probably take a bit before it's available on consoles. Please let me know if any new issues have popped up! Update 2024-12-17: It's live on consoles!
Is it common for all character actions (all of them; hitting an enemy, using a spell, jumping and so on) to lag a lot after installing this mod? I do have a lot of mods but I only installed this mod yesterday and suddenly went from occasional actions being slow to now all of them being slow to register and especially jump often not registering at all until several attempts later. The mod is last in the mod order with no patches, I tested it in game and characters level up to 20 perfectly fine. Is the mod just heavy? If anyone recognizes this problem and have any tips I'd very much appreciate it.
So yea, same question as many, do u plan on updating the mod for Patch 8 subclasses? We are a party of 4 who is waiting on the patch before starting our campaign... would be sweet if we could do so with your mod.
I'd imagine it's probably a power fantasy sort of thing, but some people probably just want to be able to make a wider variety of builds. With difficulty enhancement mods, you could make things (somewhat) balanced still, but these don't feel natural after a certain point. It'd be cool if BG3 could someday have even a fraction of what Skyrim modding has to offer. Imagine entirely new campaigns designed around higher levels/larger parties and new maps with original characters and/or AI voiced origin companions. I'm just dreaming though lol.
It's also to experience what these characters were like BEFORE they got nerfed back down to level 1. Remember, Wyll was solo'ing Hill Giants. Karlach was on the frontlines of The Blood War. Gale was such a powerful mage that he had the Goddess of Magic as a girlfriend. And so on and so forth, and it sucks that we never get to see the party back in their Prime (especially since we're not getting DLC anytime soon, if not ever.)
Have you ever played pathfinder: wrath of the righteous? You're basically an unkillable god by level 20, and yet the game is still really fun. It's a power fantasy. Also, there are plenty of mods as mentioned above to buff enemies accordingly.
When even leveling up with this mod, when I level up to 13, I still only have access to learn lv 6 spells, but when leveling up to 15 lv 8 and 7 spells will appear. I'm using 5e, BG 2 spells, and advanced table top spells for level 7+ spells. I've tried messing around with load order but nothing seeing to fix it.
Does the enhancement patch with feats every 2 levels work with other classes and subclasses from the mod? Or only with those from the original game? And I also have a question about whether I can change between the 5e patch (without enhancement) and the combined enhancement patch mid-game.
Doing almost everything I could with new scale I reached level 17 just as I got to the nautaloid at the end of the game, so id say do 0.75 if your willing to do most things to get as much experience as possible.
I personally use 0.75 for not evil runs and 0.5 for evil runs but honestly I wish there was a 0.65 because that would be around 200k exp total and would be perfect for what I want.
Ah that's disappointing. I guess I'll have to restart with the .5x patch. I like to do most things but there are a few things I like to skip like the Wood Woads/Mephits in the swamp and the whole haunted mansion nonsense in Act 3
Yes you can, you can reach about level 20 1/2. But, it does involve doing every sidequest (including the ones you never heard about), killing every fist and robot you can find, doing everything in the correct order (blowing up the factory makes all robots disappear, so there goes all the XP!), doing the underdark ánd the mountain pass, etcetera. And even then, you will reach level 20 somewhere in the upper city.
