This mod should be compatible with other mods as long as they don't modify the progression table for 1st level Sorcerers.
If you encounter any issues or bugs, please make a bug report rather than a comment so I don't have to move it manually. Also, please make sure you read the Potential Issues/Disclaimers section of the mod description before making a report—thanks! 😊
Is this mod compatible with other mods? Yes. Unless it changes the Sorcerers progression table for level 1, it should be compatible. If another mod does change the progression table, i.e. it's another Sorcerer related mod, I recommend using Compatibility Framework, which allows compatibility between subclasses. Any issues related to that mod should be directed to its comments section. This mod features innate support for that mod, and requires Script Extender to function.
Why doesn't the subclass show up in character creation? You probably either: 1) Didn't install it properly. Take a look at the installation guide at the end of the mod description. or 2) Haven't updated all your mods. Make sure that ImprovedUI and Script Extender in particular are up-to-date. or 3) Have other mods that overwrite it. Please place Community Library at the very top of your load order, and Compatibility Framework at the very bottom. If that doesn't work, try placing this mod further down in the load order. If the problem still persists, disable all other addons except the ones required by this mod, enable your mods one by one, and see which one is causing the issue.
X happens when I do Y, even though it shouldn't. Why? Your other mods are most likely causing a conflict. The first thing you would need to do is to update each and every single one of your other mods to make sure they're not the ones causing the problem. If you've done that and the issue persists, try respeccing out of this subclass before updating it, then respec back. If that doesn't help, disable all mods apart from the required ones and enable your them one by one to see which one is causing problems. Once you've done that and the issue still persists, you are welcome to open a bug report.
My mods are designed to be as non-dependent on other mods as possible, and I'm not responsible for issues appearing when playing with multiple mods. I will not go out of my way to accommodate or implement workarounds to make it compatible with mods other than the ones listed in the Required files section. If the authors of other mods that cause conflicts wish to do so, they may.
Can you make a version where everything is unlocked by the time you reach level 12? No.
I had the exact same bug and I have no idea why this is happening. It´s a really strange bug as the different subclasses data shouldnt have to do anything with each other.
Except for level 4, level 5 and level 6 will have it. Is it because of a conflict with a mod? The only one that involves this spell should be 5espell. . . .
Works like in 5e, except for the fact that there are no Slaad or Star Spawn in BG3. If there were, I'd make it into a proper Summon Aberration and do one of each, but for now a Beholderkin will have to do!
2024 PHB replaced the Star-spawn with a Mindflayer (the stat block is still the same afaik). Any chance for a Mind Flayer summon to the Summon Aberration spell ?
I have 0 complaints, love this mod and everything about it! You did such a bang up job implementing the 5e tabletop sorcerer and I'm 100% looking forward to the next mod you put out. I start a new playthrough JUST TO TRY THESE OUT. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND. Anyway, love them all, huge fan. Keep it up dude you're awesome. <3
It doesn't matter if it uses Script Extender, they can use the new BG3 Toolkit to port it just like most classes, some people really have no idea how modding works...either way the mod works fine just missing the class icon atm
You can, but be aware that it's a lot more work than just replacing Shout_ArmsOfHadar with Target_Charm since Psionic Spells does more than just give you free spells. 😊 You're welcome to unpack the mod and use the files as a template for your own personal use—most of what you need is located in 3_Psionic_Sorcery.txt.
Hiya, sorry if this is a necro. Fantastic mod, I am having an absolute blast with it! I am however keen on looking into exactly what PatitoCuakCuak12 has asked, specifically about changing some of the Psionic spells for ones out of the 5e Spells mod: Calm Emotions --> Mind Whip Hunger of Hadar --> Hypnotic Pattern (I know not strictly RAW, but I feel it is more flavorsome for a pure 'Psion' subclass, rather than AM) Evard's Black Tentacles --> Psychic Lance Dominate Person --> Synaptic Static
You mention that it's a lot more work than just 'replacing Shout_ArmsOfHadar with Target_Charm' - could you be a bit more specific as to what needs changing for this concept to work? I have already had a tinker with unpacking the mod via the modder multitool (I changed this subclass to be Int-based, rather than Cha-based, for example) but am still a total novice when it comes to modding. Any advice you could give would be stellar! Cheers in advance, and may the gods continue your brilliance.
Since you're able to cast those spells without verbal components, you need to create new versions of those spells and all of the upcasted versions. Like I mentioned, if you unpack the mod you'll see the work you need to do!
This is an amazing mod! Great work! My only complaint is the mind sliver cantrip you added is just a worse version of the 5e spells version lasting one less turn, unless I am missing something.
