There was an issue with Patch 5, that made using this mod difficult, but the issue was fixed in Patch 5 Hotfix #15. This mod is once again safe to use.
There is currently a bug in BG3 that prevents loading if you try to load a game that had a mod installed that you no longer have. This means, that if you enable this mod, you may not be able to disable it. You may try this Different Mod Settings Fix (Tutorial) to load a game in such a situation. Or wait for Larian to release a fix for this issue. Even though modding isn't currently supported, this is clearly a bug, so you may also make a bug report to Larian.
Until Larian fixes this issue, I would advice against using this mod. You can use the PDF file and its UUIDs and add items via Script Extender. You should be able to find more info on this method online.
If you followed the instructions, and only used this mod briefly, you should not have lost any progress. When you were unable to load your game. If you did play the game with this mod enabled, you might be able to load your game using the linked tutorial.
PSA for everyone that cant get this mod to work, specificlly where it just keeps spawning the default items. This means the mod cannot find SpawnAnyItemUserItems.txt.
When the author says unzip SpawnAnyItemUserItems.RAR directly to the BG 3 Data folder, he meant it. If you unzip it first and then transfer it to your BG 3 data folder, the unzip will create a folder with the same name as the zip file. The mod will not recognize this folder. Make sure that the folder that is placed in BG3 data is the public folder, which automatically happens when you unzip directly to your BG 3 Data folder.
I just went ahead and tried to use both the Spawn Any Item and the Conjure Any Item versions of this cheat mod. It sadly doesn't appear to work anymore post Patch 8. I've tried deleting and reinstalling both versions multiple times, and my game every time gets stuck infinitely loading at either 75% or 83%.
I really hope this mod can get a Patch 8 update soon!
I just want to say I have modded many games before and have had to go through trial and error, but I will say out of all the mods i've installed in my life this is probably by far the worst and shittest mod I've ever come across.
(edit: this mod is outdated dont waste your time look somewhere else and for the maker of the mod just delete it kthx)
(edit 2: I didnt give up but I got it working so basically the modder is from finland so his english is just as bad as the soviet invasion into finland. Nevertheless, What I did was EXTRACT the rar pak and installed it via BG3 mod manager and then you extract (SpawnAnyItemUserItems) which will have a folder called "Public" You put "PUBLIC" INTO DATA you do not touch or put it into "Generated." It goes into "DATA" so example "Baldurs Gate 3>Data>Public>SpawnAnyItem" I dont know if this helps but when I finish with the IDS for the items I like, I then click "File" on the BG3MM then Click "Export Order to Game." That is how that works this will fix your problem if you spawn in generic armour. Also instead of using the PDF I HIGHLY recommend you go online and go to the BG3 Wiki where you will find UUID for ALL of the items in the game EASILY with icons instead of the PDF. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ (SOLUTION)
How to use in-game : Once in game you will use your DASH and a Cantrip will pop up with the 5 options. You have a limited time so be quick! Then all you have to do is click anywhere on the floor near you! Once you have the desired items save the game and disable the mod to get your dash back !
A bunch of people may also have not realized that clicking dash is only half the answer, you also have to check your cantrips to actually *summon* anything. Which, I had no idea. (I already have cantrips on my character, so it wasn't immediately obvious that anything had changed.) So a big thanks to you and the previous commenter who revealed the secrets.
Thanks for posting this. Gave me the inspiration to go back and try again for a few unique items I had missed; from Act 1 a unique weapon and helm from the Duegar mercenaries that fight alongside you, and from Act 2 a weapon from one of those bramble mounds (apparently one of the vines that explode blew it off the edge into a chasm and I hadn't noticed), but most frustratingly I accidentally sold Minthara's camp outfit! I couldn't be bothered to go that far back after finally making it to Act 3 so I was desperate to revisit this potential solution, since the first time I tried and failed to get this to work I ended up restarted my entire campaign, though luckily I was only 5 hours into the beginning. Thanks again!
@mada505 isnt a skill issue not everyone's first language is english and even then thats no excuse when you look through the pages plenty of people complain. Your solutions to when you "think" you know better than someone or "smarter" you just say "skill issue." My post I know for a fact actually helped people while you're just a redundant monkey, who doesn't help anyone and is actually useless. Delete your comment.
Your frustrations echo my own, you made me laugh hard! Thank you so much for this description. Thanks to you I was finally able to get the mod to work.
Steam on PC. I don't have a Data folder, so I created one. File path is "C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Data\Public\SpawnAnyItem\Stats\Generated\Data\Spell_Spawn_Items.txt". I edited that txt file with the IDs I wanted.
But I cannot for the life of me get this to spawn anything but generic armor.
@elvedon For me its C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3
It isn't in appdata, that's your issue. You said PC right? Then it is on steam correct? Go to the directory of the game. On steam Right click then "Manage" you will see "Browse Local Files" there you will find the directory.
Tried it as you described, but it still only spawns Generic armor File path is as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public\SpawnAnyItem Am I missing something?
Did you save the text file after putting the ID of the item you want? Also you have to restart the game everytime you update the txt. Also do not use the document that comes with the file. Its better to go on the BG3 Wiki and get UUID from there. Also you put the UUID inbetween the ( ). Under "SpellProperties" "GROUND:Spawn(UUID HERE)"
Followed all the steps above, in order, and still generated generic armour. Steps taken:
Extracted pak download to downloads folder Used BG3MM to import the pak file Extracted SpawnAnyItemUserItems folder into downloads folder Dragged/Dropped into Data folder--NOT Generated (Data folder looked like Data\Public\SpawnAnyItem) Edited text file with UUID obtained from BG3wiki (owlbear egg) Saved text file Placed the mod at the BOTTOM of my load order in BG3MM Exported the order to game Used dash in-game Spawned generic armour for every cantrip
Edited to add that I have a friend who successfully got it to work, and gave me their text file with the same UUID, which I tried. Still spawned only generic armour.
Then it most likely has to do with how you installed it because if you were to spawn something and it's generic that means it isn't reading the UUID. Either it can't find it or/not installed correctly. Try again and maybe share your screen to your friend? or have him give you his folder. It SHOULD be working if you followed what I wrote exactly as I had the same issue.
Same. Doesn't work. :( I tried everything to spawn Battered Lute needed to wake Art, since I have no idea where it disappeared. I had it in my camp chest. I know it cannot be sold or destroyed so... I guess I'll just have to lose some hours of my playthrough and start from killing Malus again. I'll go straight to Art this time though. I wish Larian could make quest items more reliable.

Conjure Any Item is an alternative item cheat mod that you can also check out.
