1.14 - added brush tags to vanilla dyes (via Addon) and DLC dye (via main mod check - it uses other potion icon, unfortunately, so no other way). for custom dyes support use Slightly Better Dyeing mod.
1.15 - fixed common arrows tag texture. 1.16 - updated for HF #16 (DataTemplates.xaml library). IUI version will most likely require another update soon, when IUI got its own update after the hotfix. 1.18 - new items tagged in Addon: 1. Food: Bluecap, Tea, one missed fish type (kudos to pgy120612). 2. Usable: Candle, Filigreed Feywild Bell, Oil Lamp, Astral-Touched Tadpole, Mysterious Artifact, Illithid Tablets (Eldritch Tablet, Illithid Manuscript, Illithid Record, Rune Slate), Broken Moonlantern. 3. Story Items (rarity frame): Minds (Dark, Slave etc), because those from Nautiloid are often neglected while can be used later.
1.18 - added Artifact rarity support for icons. Tooltips side is on Better Tooltips. 1.19 - one more addon added - tiny one, for Lodestones. Replaces lodestones with respective companion portraits to make using these items on hotbar more convenient. We have pokemons pals at home now. Requires Lodestones ofc (which is highly suggested). If after future Lodestones update your icons will be blank - hit me up (not Focus, please, compatibility with this isn't his issue), I will fix it.
1.2 - forwarded patch #6 changes (they completely reworked item representation again) to Better Inventory UI and addon. 1.21 - fixed version for IUI (containers icons weren't properly scaled to the slot). 1.23 - added Deck of Many Things support (artifact rarity background and frame, tooltips support is on Better Tooltips side). also added tool's back and foreground for Shovel's Friend-Finder (kudos to pgy120612).
1.24/25 - added JWL Discordant Instruments support. two artifact-rarity items (Book of Exalted Deeds and Book of Vile Darkness) will have unique icon frame and background. Artifact-rarity tooltips for these items are on Better Tooltips side.
1.26 - fixed items counter size for containers, should be of normal size on pads now (good chance I broke smth else with it). 1.27 - added Deathsong Set support (Deathsong artifact-rarity sword).
1.3.3 - updated for Patch 7. Requires ImpUI now. Addon currently has issues showing part of atlases, including one with dyes. 1.3.3/1.2.7->8 - updated Addon, its official/unofficial now unfortunately (clean official version isn't possible due to atlas-related bug in toolkit). 1.3.5 - cleaned redundant code from the main mod, it should improve compatibility with BCPP. Controllers UI not yet updated. 1.3.6 - fixed tags visibility on controllers UI. 1.3.6 - returned Lodestone icons addon to Optional Files from Old Files, seems to be working fine without update. No point to make it official since Lodestones isn't official as well. 1.3.8 - added icons support for new artifact-rarity items: Awakened Blood of Lathander, The Eye of Vecna and The Hand of Vecna.
Thank you for your awesome mods! Please explain, for your mods can we also use the newer "ImpUI Patch 8 CC fixes"? Or do we only stick to the older Slim version of ImpUI ? Thanks again.
Great mods! I think I ran into a snag with patch 8 from this mod. Notable info: -PS5, patch 8 -Better UI, Better topbar, Better target info, and ImpUI installed -When I press Actions (square on PS5 controller) on an item in the character sheet, nothing happens
This is new as of patch 8, and I'm 95% sure it's an issue with this mod. I did try a fresh save with various combinations of the above mod, and only the versions with this mod had issues. I don't know if PS5 updates are slower to come than PC ones, but if it's already done, I wanted to bring this bug to your attention. Thank you for your mods, they really make the experience better!
Sorry I wasn't being clear in the post, the context menu does not appear after pressing the action button. Nothing happens. I did find that the context menu works as expected in the backpack submenus, as well as with traders. It seems to only not work on the character sheet inventory.
It's because it hasn't been updated on Console yet. Need to be patient. Caites has updated the PC version but that doesn't update the mod on consoles right away
I'm also experiencing the same issue on Xbox. After doing some troubleshooting, I found that it was Better Inventory UI that was causing the context menu to not appear when you press the appropriate button. I also found that Better Tooltips is causing the weapon damage information to not appear either.
Just an heads up to other console players, these mods are listed as "Update 8 Tested" in the mod manager. However, I think this refers to the PC version of the mods. The console version of these mods manifest issues that affect the playability of your save. If you've already enabled them (and don't have a previous save that doesn't have the mods that you can revert to), then you will not be able to uninstall these mods on the save that already has them (quirks of the console version of BG3) and will have to wait until the updates hit the consoles.
DrLeFonque, Better Inventory UI as well as Better Tooltips you mentioned were updated and uploaded on mod.io and nexus by me for patch 8, controller UI (aka for consoles) including. It was done on the next day after Patch 8 release. That's why they tagged as Patch 8 Tested. Mods that weren't updated (better context menu, mod manager tweaks) have notes about it on desc pages, mod.io pages including.
If you don't have them updated on consoles yet, then approval for mods is still pending. modders can't expedite it by any means. if you have issues with updated versions approved today (I see some got approval already), its either your load order or vanilla ones.
I can confirm that this issue no longer exist. Just started the game on xbox series x and after updating the mod, everything is working again like a charm.
I'm assuming for Patch 8 we only need the slim version now, (after you update your mods of course), which I'm going through updating now. Even though the Slim version only released the day after this mod, my assumption is this was prepared on the Beta Branch intended for testing mods first.
Or am I being too hasty to switch to the slim version now.
ImpUI for patch 7 isn't relevant for patch 8 and will cause issues. you need ImpUI for patch 8 for nine of my mods and for nothing else. its ripped off statemachines for widgets modded in my mods, everything else from ImpUI (well almost all) made it to the base game.
if those few missing categories are important for you, you can try older unofficial version of addon instead, like 1.2.8 from Optional Files, it should work. just mind its an override by current modding rules and will be on even if disabled in LO.
Hello! I am using both the patch 8 update, as well as the patch 8 slim version of ImpUI, and the blacked out menu is still happening. Furthermore, when i remove the mod, the ability to right click to get that menu in the first place is gone, and right clicking an item does nothing. Any ideas?
Thank you so much for making these amazing mods and updating them very quickly!!!✨ Do you mind if I share with you a mod idea/suggestion? I personally only play bg3 with my controller; there is one thing that really dislike and is how big and centered the subtitles get. I think something to change this and maybe put them more at the bottom of the screen and spread them out would be amazing, essentially making them look just how they are when playing with mouse and keyboard. Thanks for considering this idea!
