If u feel the call of creativity - dont b stopped by the fear of negativity or by the lack of some knowledge. I see how even very talented creators with huge communities are getting stressed by some comments. So it can b even more scary for little modders like myself or the beginners. But still there are options (for u - as a potential creator) - to disable comments entirely, to use Patreon, to give maintenance to a third person or to embrace the world of internet with all of its goods and bads:)
If u have some ideas and want to share them with the world in any form of art - dont let intrusive thoughts stop u. If there will b just one person whose day will be better because of your creation - it means its worth it:)
For the trolls and some - let me not be rood - very aware people (to whom i can recommend to direct their energy and desire to make world better into something more real than commenting on fantasy races in the internet; ironically - that would be a total fantasy scenario for them, i guess:)): the goal of this mod is to make Minthara look: a) more like a princess - with bright exotic make up and long hair (nice outfits and jewelry are already available in game, but ive added one new piece of outfit); b) more like a drow - with dark skin, bright eyes and white hair, brows and lashes.
Nobility is not attached to her race or her skin color. Her nobility in this visual (!) mod - is something she can wash off and paint again.
Since i've had some comments that my vision of Minthara is "ew", but still wanting to share with the community the ability to change the game - there is a version of the mod with only hair changes.
PS. What a time to be alive - here's me trying to explain semantics of the mod's concept. As Minthara lured me here in the first place - now i can see, that she is truly evil:)
I can't find the equipment in the tutorial chest and vendors. Do you have any ideas? Or you can tell me the name of the equipment in the game or the ID of the equipment, thank you very much.
If its not even in the tut chest - the mod isnt installed correctly. Check out if uve activated the mod in the mod manager. The ID of the robe is "773b2589-be9f-47c7-b025-208378a459c8", the name is "Scaly robes with necklace".
Welcome to the club:) There definitly is a way - im planning to release options with the ideas from the comments, and since u r quite precise in what u want - i see no obstacles to make it true.
Love the mod. I've had a thing for the drow ladies since Nathyrra in Neverwinter Nights. Aribeth who?
I also like this mod: Minthara Refined (variant B specifically), which is a loose files mod. I tried using the long hair, dark skin version of your mod and this one together and it almost worked. I had the dark skin, white eye brows, and long hair from your mod, and the face changes from Minthara Refined. However, the hair, instead of being white, was dirty blonde.
I know it's a big ask, but any chance you'd consider a patch?
Hey, I am having the same issue! Glad I found this before repeat posting. Thanks to your helpful guide to the poster below with steps, was gonna try and tackle a fix, but modifying this stuff is a little more complex than the mods I've made so far. Thanks!
Just wanted to jump in with some new info: messing around with this and the dirty blonde instead of white issue seems to happen with a very few vanilla hairs, and also a fair few from Vessnelle's and Tav's Salon hairs as well. Is it a lighting issue? Was really hard to tell with the sun shining so bright in the CC, but I guess the long straight had the dirty blonde no matter what lighting.
If u will want to change this value in the future updates - unpack this mod with MultiTool, go to \Multitool\UnpackedMods\JE_ScalyRobe\Public\JE_ScalyRobe\Stats\Generated\Data open "Armor" file and change green value from 1 to 0 in the line below: data "Boosts" "UnlockSpell(Target_Summon_Ae'relis);UnlockSpell(Target_Summon_Ancient_Hunter);AC(0)"
Use Multitool. U can unpack my mod with it (just drag and drop the archive), find this file inside unpacked data "_merged.lsf" - it contains all of the markers for appearances.
value="Hair" - mesh, values are here: https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:Hair_Meshes value="03Hair" color
value="02Skin Properties" that is for skin value="06Eyes" and that as uve guessed - for the eyes But ull need to know the values and their desriptions.
For this - open Multitool, and search for this files: CharacterCreationSkinColors.lsx CharacterCreationEyeColors.lxs
Uh oh, uni's over! Thanks a lot, everything worked, I even managed to replace the head texture with one of Toarie's heads using ID rather than the texture replacer... It only took 2 hours xdd
It's been interesting digging through the files and code, but there are a few things I'd like to ask for your help with...
So far I can't figure out how to add scars, how to change the lip color (as well as increase the glare level a bit). I guess the mod file just doesn't have lines for these parameters because they are unnecessary?
Wanting to replace her gear (armor, helmet, weapons, as well as change the color of the armor) sounds too ambitious for me. I'm guessing there's at least 3 variants of Mintara out there with different gear and a huge trail of code for each variant:
I looked into the original game's _merged.isf and found some values like "GOB_DrowCommander_Boots_Leather" "GOB_DrowCommander_Gloves_Leather" "GOB_DrowCommander_Armor_Leather"
But it's kinda where it ends, it was on the "GameObjects" section so I was probably looking in the wrong place o.o
Replacing Mintara's appearance and gear before meeting her in Act 2 is pretty easy with the Recruit Any NPC mod. The problem is that it hasn't been updated since patch 3 and most likely breaks some scripts in the game. Did not risk to continue that game, as I want to avoid fatal save-destroyer crashes at the end of Act 3...
Even without it, with just Party Limit Begone (I'm not even sure if that was the reason), I've already had Scratch dragging the corpse of his former master into camp with the stale "he needs to rest" dialog, as well as Oathbreaker the skeleton spontaneously poped up by the river in camp (I don't even have paladins xddd)
OMG, these bugs are hilarious:) and im myself praying to the Great Old One for not breaking my game with all of these mods:)
As for ur questions: ill try to give u a template or a description, how to add this - but closer to the end of the week. I guess its quite easy - but i just need some free time for the testing.
And if u want the scars to be bloody, insert this in MaterialPresets section (the same place, where the 06Eyes is); also ive tried different values for this - but they all ended the same in-game (for my eyes): <node id="Object"> <attribute id="ForcePresetValues" type="bool" value="True" /> <attribute id="GroupName" type="FixedString" value="07Scars" /> <attribute id="MapKey" type="FixedString" value="07Scars" /> <attribute id="MaterialPresetResource" type="FixedString" value="a9dbb31f-7f5b-c2f2-e867-96c667418c2c" /> </node>
The best way to adjust values - is to find a character with features u like - and then paste their values in ur mod.
Hi, Im back to give you some comments about the armour. To change the default color i just change the value "MaterialPresetResource" in the _merged.lsf in RootTemplates folder of the mod. Here are some values for testing: 3567358e-9a04-74f8-6c01-cbfb6eef7faf d2e27ba4-ea7b-9953-2407-8ae62f7b793c 772d3184-da28-03f2-523b-872c7f65ca5c c70fb703-f2a4-67d2-0f6f-28c3017ddb0e fa030c66-f9be-5dff-f479-bfbbe70cc41a f6da7112-abe0-701d-9ae0-1175b44674b0 770a5d62-5649-703b-908c-e6b37cf09edd U can find examples in other items files (just search through MultiTool).
To change the default equipment (worked for my Wyll): Create file "Equipment" and put it rigth here: ModName\Public\ModName\Stats\Generated
Hello and thank you for the mod. I always wanted Minth with white hair and matching eyebrows than that ugly yellow something hair she had and haircut is also nice.
What i have trouble is making it happen. I downloaded Mod B cos thats the result i want and P4_CCWhiteHairEdits Black Lashes that has eyebrow matching hair colour but not the eyelashes. I started the game and the eyebrows are white but her hair are blonde. Can you give me a hand on what i am doing wrong? :)
Hi! The color issue is smth some other people faced too. U have to use this file from Padme: P4_CCWhiteHairEdits Matching Brow. And I have to make the requirements description more clear:)
PS. Wow, in that armour Minthara looks like a true badass princess.

Yes, your guess about the missing lines was correct.
So for the scars (insert this in the ScalarParameters section, after MaterialPresets section):
<node id="ScalarParameters">
<attribute id="Color" type="bool" value="False" />
<attribute id="Custom" type="bool" value="True" />
<attribute id="Enabled" type="bool" value="True" />

<node id="ScalarParameters">
<attribute id="Color" type="bool" value="False" />

<attribute id="Value" type="float" value="0.6" />

<attribute id="Enabled" type="bool" value="True" />

<attribute id="Value" type="float" value="0.4" />
</node>
And if u want the scars to be bloody, insert this in MaterialPresets section (the same place, where the 06Eyes is); also ive tried different values for this - but they all ended the same in-game (for my eyes):
<node id="Object">
<attribute id="ForcePresetValues" type="bool" value="True" />
<attribute id="GroupName" type="FixedString" value="07Scars" />

The green - is what u want to add with the mod.
U can also search lines for other characters through MultiTool.
What i have trouble is making it happen. I downloaded Mod B cos thats the result i want and P4_CCWhiteHairEdits Black Lashes that has eyebrow matching hair colour but not the eyelashes. The color issue is smth some other people faced too. U have to use this file from Padme: P4_CCWhiteHairEdits Matching Brow.
And I have to make the requirements description more clear:)
PS. Wow, in that armour Minthara looks like a true badass princess.
