Hello & welcome to the comments section! I originally only had the forums section because I thought that would be easier on my end but it kind of wasn't so I'm switching to comments. I cleared out a bunch of the forums & just left the ones that might still be helpful to people. Either way, thank you all for the kind words & support!
If the hair extensions aren't showing up in game for you, 9 times out of 10 it is user error. If you've tried all the stuff in theTroubleshooting Tips article and still can't get it to work, I would suggest asking for help in the Down By The River discord server's game-mods-help channel. (You can also ping me there & I can try to walk you through it)
You can request a hair part that I haven't done or an alternate version of an existing one but please keep in mind that this is something that I'm just doing for fun & I can't guarantee that I will fulfill all requests.
ONLY UPDATE TO VERSION 1.4.0 IF YOU HAVE UPDATED THE GAME TO PATCH 7.
1.4.0 has a different name & UUID from being made in the toolkit, so make sure you remove the previous version. AS OF PATCH 7, PADME'S PATCH IS NO LONGER REQUIRED Also, you should remove Mod Fixer. Statement in the Larian discord about Mod Fixer:
Spoiler:
Show
While most third-party mods should continue working alongside supported mods in Patch 7, the ModFixer mod created by figs999 will no longer be compatible with the in-game Mod Manager, as we have fixed what Mod Fixer was… well, fixing.
This means that mods that use or include the Mod Fixer .pak file (ForceRecompile.txt) will no longer be required to force the story to recompile. While we do recommend that mods that include the Mod Fixer .pak file remove it, to save you the worry of a broken game with third-party mods, we have blocked his particular file from being loaded in Patch 7.
This means that your mods should work correctly, but this specific file will be blocked and will not load (and cause issues!).
If you’re still running into some issues and use BG3MM, you can check whether the third-party mods you’re using have the file baked in by looking out for an icon in the line next to the mod name. When hovering over this icon, it will say “Has Mod Fixer.”
While mod authors continue making any adjustments post-Patch 7 release and you want to continue playing in the meantime, we recommend disabling these mods for the time being!
(but you do still need ImprovedUI; make sure it's the Patch 7 version)
You can visit Larian's official discord server's modding channel to get help with any issues you have with mods on Patch 7 as well. [link]
To Do (things that are done & will be added in the next update are crossed out)
Scooped Low Ponytail/Twintails/Low Twintails
Kallisto Braid - Silver
Cadmus Curls/Front Braids
Vhinn/Vhana Bangs
Luskan Twintails - Left/Right
Mongoose Twintails - Left/Right (plus High Left/Right)
Add physics back to Fantasia Twintails
Pinned Tresses Left/Right/Back
Helmet hairs as extensions (will be a separate, non-autosnap pack)
Upload .blend files to Nexus as a modder's resource
P.S. For other modders, you are welcome to use the meshes from this mod in your own hair mods, and if you DM me I can even send you my files so you don't have to unpack & can see my notes (although I am also planning on uploading the files as a resource at some point). I would like if you would credit me on the mod page if you do.
This thing is getting a bit hefty and I intend to keep adding more for the foreseeable future, but I would like to think that it would be beneficial for both myself and users if I were to split it up like a normal person lol
I'm thinking that the nearly vanilla hairs can stay in this mod, the repositioned hairs (such as the Fantasia Twintails or Orcscrew Side Curls) can go in a new separate mod, and then the parts from my custom hairs can also have their own mod. I think this will help me stay organized as I continue adding more parts, and would be better for users as well because if you like the nearly vanilla parts but not the repositioned or customs, you can have just that. Or if you like the custom and repositioned parts but not the nearly vanilla, that works too. Plus splitting it up is a bit more efficient space-wise (at least, if you don't download all 3 I guess) and it makes me feel better than uploading one giant file because I've had mod files I've uploaded to or downloaded from Nexus get corrupted because the server or my own wi-fi stuttered in the middle of it.
So. Yeah. I am definitely leaning toward splitting things up, but I don't trust myself to think of EVERY pro & con and I'm generally a very indecisive/wishy-washy person (I did originally intend to keep the repositioned and custom parts in separate mods but as you can see, I *didn't* do that); plus I figured it would be a good idea to give folks a head-up about the potential change. It likely won't happen soon because this mod is on the back burner at the moment, and I honestly can't make any promises about when the change + next update will occur for various reasons, but thus far I seem to have a pattern of major updates occurring every 2-3 months so we'll see if that holds true I suppose.
This mod is amazing, and it's become a must-have for me! Thank you for all your hard work!
Would you consider adding Astarion's swoopy top and side fringe? I've been wanting to switch up his look for a while, but while there are so many good hairs, none of them look right on him without those swoops, lol.
Hey.. so after updating to patch 7.. I downloaded the newest version available for this mod. Imported it into my g3mm, permanently removed the previous version (as the new version ended up loading into the right side of the MM instead of automatically replacing the mod on the left (active) side) and then moved the new version into the same spot where the old version resided in my mod order. Now everytime I try to load my game.. it is telling me that this mod as well as the carry weight over 9000 mod has been disabled or removed (even tho the new versions have been imported and added to load order..and old version removed...) and by trying to start my save file it may make my game unstable. It does..and won't allow my game to load past 75% or 100%. It will just stay at either of those loading %'s. And won't budge from there..never being able to even enter gameplay because of it. Does anyone know why?? Or what could be causing this...??? PLEASE HELP TT o TT
As an addition to the extensions, I'd love if you could do a version of pinned and perfect with the back part as well! And going further, maybe just a left or right front part + back if possible :D Would be perfect!
Came here to request you add your lovely Cadmus braids to your hair extensions, saw that it was on the to-do list! I am excited! To be an incredibly greedy user, would it be possible to make a thicker version of them for here, eventually? My dwarf gal needs properly voluminous hair ropes XD
Honestly, any variety of front-braids would be very, very welcome.
Omg thank you SO MUCH for adding that Shadowheart accessory to your new mod! I love it so much and she looks phenomenal now without the downside of having to choose between this and your other extensions!
I have a request. could you please (if possible) add a version of the shart braids with only the crown or with a bun and crown? i would love to mix it with my chars hairstyle more but the damn braid is always attached and in the way of things
Can i use multiple hair pieces together on console (PS5)? If yes, how do i do it? There are small icons on the little images, but i can't seem to figure out what they mean and what button i'm supposed to press... lovely hair tho!
Currently I have all the options only in one slot so you can't mix & match them yet.
On options that are "left" or "right" variants, there is an arrow in the bottom right corner as a visual indication of which variant the option is. On options that have "gold" or "silver" metal variants, there is either a gold coin (which is sort of hourglass shaped) or a silver coin (triangular) in the bottom left corner as a visual indicator for which variant the option is. They're just there to generally make it easier to tell the difference between variants at a glance without necessarily needing to hover over the option to read the name of it.
Although as a side note, I might end up getting rid of the metal variants in favor of allowing users to color the accessories via Horn Tip Colour (it will require one of Padme4000's mods to make the colour selection available for all races though, but said mod should also be approved for consoles before I put out my next hair extensions update so it shouldn't cause any issues).
Do you plan on making the new addons available for those who are stuck on P6 until everything is updated for P7? Just wondering since I've been following this mod for months and the new options are super cool. Though I have no idea of the amount of work it'd be, so I'm asking :)

Should I split this up into multiple mods?
