Since there were a lot of questions about installation of this mod, here's a more detailed rundown:
1. Download chosen file MANUALLY, DO NOT USE ANY MANAGERS/DOWNLOADERS.
2. Put the file in the game's DATA FOLDER inside the INSTALLATION FOLDER (e.g. for users with Steam, it will be something like steamapps/common/Baldur's Gate 3/Data)
3. Right-click on file and choose Extract here (Note: For those who do not know, this is a RAR archive, which is opened by a variety of tools like WinRAR, WinZIP or Windows default unpacker).
5. The file should now unpack and AUTOMATICALLY create all the necessary folder structure.
It should look like this:
For Fast XP to Level 5: [BG3]/Data/Public/Shared/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt
For Double XP: [BG3]/Data/Public/Shared/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt [BG3]/Data/Public/SharedDev/Stats/Generated/Data/XPData.txt
Alternatively, you can unpack the archive wherever you want and then copypaste the unpacked Public folder with all its contents to the Data folder inside your BG3 installation folder.
Hello, I play on Mac and the install folder just has the executable for the app and no other folder present. I did try to make it myself and place the mod folders in it but this didn't make it work. Any suggestions on what I should do?
I found the solution for MacOS users, when you go to the steam install folder (Macintosh HD > User > YourName > Library > Applications Support > Steam > Steamapps > Common > BG3) all you will find is the BG3.exe. Right click on this application to pull up a menu and select "Show Package Contents". This will then display a subfolder where you can choose Contents and find the Data folder where these mod folders need to be housed. Just copy/paste the folder(s) into this folder and start a new game and the mod will take effect. Hope this helps!
I'm using a level expansion mod with this and it works fine. You need to install this one AFTER the level expansion mod of your choice so that this one overwrites the specific file instead.
Yes it is. I added it at the beginning of act 3, and haven't had any issues. For companions, dismiss them and re-add them to the party and they should get all the experience and levels missed. My chars jumped from 9 to 12. For your Tav/origin character, you'll need to either re-spec with withers, or wait for another level up.
I cannot get this mod to work. Is there another mod it could be conflicting with? I made absolute sure the .txt files are in the correct location but my character tab still says I need 300 exp to get to level 2
"This mod halves XP requirements for every level, effectively doubling XP gain. It will affect the entire game, allowing you to level twice as fast." - Mod Description.
Do you have a mod that increases the level cap? I had to disable mine and it started working, mostly. Dismiss the companions and re-add them to your party and they'll get the previous xp. My tav has the lower xp threshold but still doesn't get the xp lost.
I'm also having trouble getting it to work I spent way more time than I should trying to get it to work lol I've used this mod in the past with no issues now I'm starting to think I'm dumb or something idk what I'm doing wrong I followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge and nothing this time around...
This mod is working perfectly for all of the companion characters, but my tav is not leveling up at the double rate :( any suggestions on how to fix this?

File structure is exact to the stickied note.
Edit: If you are using the expansion mod, or something similar, it has a file overwriting this one. Located in Appdata/larianstudios/bg3/expansion
instead what this does is it INCREASES THE AMOUNT YOU EARN
