Seems like there isn't a "public" folder under data any longer, is there still a way to install this mod, or something like it?

Can you add the work done by OcoTheLoco to your mod, or otherwise can I have permission to upload your work and his combined as a new pak?

This works great with bettermaps mod when you get the auto hide version(https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2256?tab=description)

The trackers do show when zoomed, so when you open map you have to zoom out to not see them. Just blink real quick.
You still see the yellow circles unfortunately.
Also I dont use steam (avoiding download. booting with  bg3_dx11 ) so I had to put this mod in data.

The yellow circles still show however. And I have yet to find a mod that deals with it.

And I assume people want this mod for immersion so here are the other mods I got to hid map/sidebar/bottombar
Make sure to get auto hide versions

Is it possible to remove this lines/grid from the map/minimap? Or is it hard coded or something like that

I'm pretty sure that it is. I'll check and respond here.

I haven't been able to find the map images yet. I worry that the grids may be baked into the maps' images, and then we would be stuck with them.

There was a mod that did exactly this. Try to look for it.

I'm a bit late, but Better Maps All-In-One has an option to hide the lines on the map

Anyone discovered where the file(s) for the yellow area circles are? This mod is much less useful with those left on the map.

For some reason it isn't working. I tried installing it both manually and through vortex. All quest markers are still visible on my map and minimap.

This was frustrating me too, and I finally figured out the cause (after going so far as to unpack and repack the game files themselves, rather than relying on a modding interface, and going "how the hell are they still THERE? Those images aren't even in the game files!!! ...They must still be there somewhere.")

There are also low-res versions, which these files aren't replacing. My guess is they were added in a more recent patch. Here is a download link for transparent replacements for both the high and low res versions, including the minimap ones that aleeg91 found. Installing them by dropping the "Public/..." folder inside your game's "Data" folder is still working for me.

Hey there! Thanks for the mod. Works wonders for the Map, but the markers still show in the minimap, so it defeats the purpose
    somewhat.

Two questions for you: Is it possible to completely remove the markers from the minimap by making transparent the circles that still show? On that note, could the same method you've used to make the markers transparent also be used to make the whole minimap transparent? I'm really not fond of having the minimap there. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I've found the culprit textures that remain indicating when there's a quest marker off-screen (Minimap). They are both located in Baldur's Gate 3\Data\Public\Game\GUI\Assets\Map and are named offScreen_quest.DDS and offScreen_quest_h.DDS. I edited them both to be transparent and now there's no quest markers on the minimap when the objective is off-screen.

One more thing... What compression format are you using when saving the .DDS files? I used BC7 and it seemed to work fine for a transparent texture but I'm not sure it's the correct one overall. Thanks in advance.

I edited both files with Paint.Net which is a free editing tool that has .DDS support. If you need any help or if you prefer for me to send you the files, just say so.

Hey man could you please send me the files? I assume installation is the same as for this mod?

Alternatively you can set MarkerScale="1" to MarkerScale="0" in Minimap.xaml though afaik it also hides the party blobs.

      @aleeg91
Would you be able to send me the files also? The steam version doesn't have the files available to edit as they're all packed into .pak files but placing the individual files into the respective folders works.

Sorry for the late reply guys, here's the link to the files. Just drop the Data folder inside Baldur's Gate 3 main folder

I'd seriously like a mod that lets you choose one marker at a time... having the whole map scattered with them can get overwhelming
