I created this mod for Baldur's Gate 3 and posted it on Nexus prior to official mod support. I have no desire to rework it in the new format being used by the official mod manager, but I have received a number of requests to do so, especially from console users.
As such, I am posting my mods on github for any enterprising modder to fork and take over in order to make the conversion and handle the publication of them as you wish. They belong to the world now.
Hey, thank you for the mod. One suggestion: Squire is a lot noisier than real dogs. It's kind of distracting when we're just walking around and she's constantly barking or growling
Hi thank you for the mod. It is really nice to have Squire with you. Yet, during my new playround, I realised that if you remove the mod (did it with BG3MM), you will not be able to load your save anymore. I don't mind to have the mod loaded but just noticed this while sorting my mods.
It is likely due to having the bone in your inventory. It needs to be cleanly removed to uninstall the mod. The best way is to summon the tutorial chest, put the bone in it, let it despawn, then save your game and quit. Then remove the mod from your load order and try to launch the game again.
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. I was going through all my mods after the new patch and tried your suggestion but, unfortunately this didn't work. I still cannot reload the safe if the mod is removed.
Thank you for the quick reply. I'm already in act3 so I cannot return to the towers. As I said, I don't mind having the mod there, but wanted to let you know. I didn't check that the scroll was spawned into several chests. If so, maybe a suggestion would be to update it so it only spawns in the tutorial chest and can be removed easily without issues.
Patch 6 screwed a lot of things and I'm getting crashes when I didn't had before so I'm checking all mods :-)
For some reason this specific mod is causing my modsettings.lsx to reset to empty on launching the game, thus disabling all my mods. This only started happening after I put this specific mod in my mods folder/load order, and stopped the moment I deleted the mod. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? I'm not sure if it's a conflicting mod but I can give you my load order if you need it. I saw somewhere that some people had this problem when the game was detecting a json file in the mods folder? I don't know anything about modding and I've never had this problem happen with a mod before in all the time I've been playing/modding, so I'm so sorry... I also have no idea what all you actually put in the pak file
I've seen this happen with mods from time to time, but it often corrects if you load a modlist from a save without the troublesome mod then add the new one and try to export again.
I've never done coop so I really can't respond well to any issues it causes right now. I can theorize it could be tied to Squire being a permanent summon rather than one that despawns when you long rest as that's the only long rest interaction it has. Does Shovel work normally in coop?
As for being in the chest atop moonrise, were you already in SCL when you installed the mod? Again this could also be a coop oddity if not.
