Hello everyone, as of the next patch of this mod: I will be moving completely to Unique Tav dependency.
This will ensure the mod will be compatible with most mods out there and also make sure that you can also use any body texture replacement mods and customize your modding experience.
I'm sorry if you don't like this, but I would rather have maximum compability than keep getting complaints from people that their mod isn't working, or keep explaining why the standalone mod is not compatible with some mods out there.
Thank you for understanding.
P.S. I am also adding a few new tail options. No new models but some highly requested recolors.
Hello, I have installed "Astralities' Tiefling Compendium" but there was a problem that when I try to remove the tail, it just straightens up and without animations. When I put another tail, the vanilla one remains and a new one is added, that is, there are now 2 of them. how can I fix this?
The CustomTails for Tiefling Body 4 goes stiff and just sticks out like a... well stick. Any fixes for this? It ONLY does it for Body Type 4, no others. I'm dying without my fancy tails! T^T
I can't get it to work. There's still the tail overlaping. Unique tav is first in the order. removed all others mods (apart from trip's shaders and impui). I don't understand, does anyone know how to fix this ?
If you entered the in-game Mod Manager at any point, you'll need to manually re-sort your load order with BG3MM or Vortex. If you're using Astralities' Tiefling Compendium, please make sure you have the Unique Tav patch for it. If you are using any mods that modify Tieflings, load Unique Tav after that, make sure to download a UT Patch if required/applicable, and then load Alternate Tails after that patch. This is an example load order for you.1: ASTRL Tiefling Subraces 2: unique_tav 3: ASTRL Tiefling Subraces (Unique Tav Patch) 4: Alternate Tiefling TailsUT
Once you've got that sorted, both Vortex and BG3MM have an 'export to game' option. Please keep in mind that any time you enter the In-Game Mod Manager, it will alter your load order to be in alphabetical order, so if you can help it, never use the thing; it's worthless. In the case of BG3MM vs Vortex, BG3MM, if you save your current load order in it will keep it so you can just re-export it to the game any time. It also manages in-game installed mods better than Vortex does. However, at least in my opinion, Vortex is a little more user-friendly, especially if you have Premium to maintain your mods with(I use both, Vortex for maintaining/updating mods, and BG3MM for maintaining my load orders.
first off, absolutely adore this mod, it's a must have for me now, thank you so much for making it! I did just want to ask if you'd be willing to make a replacer for Karlach that swapped her tail to the damaged/cut off one in this pack?
Hey is this compatible with Legacy of Death mod? It uses Tiefling as a base. I have both UTav and Trip's Shader installed. But I installed this after starting the game so not sure if that'd impact it working or not. It wasn't showing in Magic Mirror. Thanks!
Hello! I hope this message finds you well, I was wondering if you would please be willing to restore the old version without unique tav? I just had to reset my pc and have to redownload my mods. I do not have the capacity to download unique tav and without the originial version of the mod, I can't load into my game and I keep getting sent back to main menu.
Please consider it, I would really appreciate it. I don't want to lose my 100hr playthrough, it was my first.
The current version is working fine for me even without UT installed, maybe just try different settings and make sure you have SE installed? Dunno why it would be working for me but no one else
Thank you so much for linking this. It was exactly what I needed. On the off chance that anyone else reading this can use the information -
To use Alternate Tiefling Tails with Variety Framework without needing UTAV, use the archived non UTAV version linked above. Put it above Variety Framework in your load order. To avoid the overlapping tails, use the loose files from Tail-less Tieflings and rename the tail .GR2 file to match the subrace tail you want to hide and put it in the appropriate VF (can potentially just use .pak for Tail-less Tieflings too, haven't tested it). The tiefling subrace you chose should not have a tail to start for new characters, but all of the options from Alternate Tiefling Tails will be available in the character creation menu.
Really would like to understand why you are ignoring everyone asking for you to put back the standalone version? This Unique Tav version clearly isn't working for most people it seems.

You seem to be new to the modding community, don't be an asshole to mod authors, less you want them all to leave again like with the Skyrim Modpocalypse.
Mod authors owe you nothing. Don't make demands, don't be a jerk. That's a great way to make them stop making mods.
It's likely user error. Make sure you have unique tav set up properly and SE enabled. IF using a custom tiefling race, make sure you have any applicable UT patches enabled and set up properly in your load order.
Hello! I've been trying to get a specific dragon tail to work for my Tav, and this mod has a really close match save for the color. Can I have your permission to try my hand at recoloring it, and keeping the mod for personal use (no re-release)?
