Trying to install this with Vortex ends up in a similar error as happens with Native Mod Loader: https://forum.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=13139427/#entry126869082

Try this 1. Download the mod with the Mod Manager Vortex and install it "as mod" or "as replacer", doesn't matter. 2. In Vortex, under the Mods tab, double click the mod, scroll down and set "Mod Type" to "Engine Injector". 3. In the Notifications, click "Deploy".
Errored for me too, I tried installing with Vortex first, the removed it and tried a manual install, same issue. Vortex also comes back as "Invalid installer" or something.
But why do you use Achievement Enabler in the first place, if you have the script extender installed, which acomplishes the same result? Do i miss something? My Achievements are working just fine, with just the SE btw.
because i was using this mod before script extender even came out, so i just kept using it instead of changing as they worked perfectly fine together, not that i should have to explain that.
This, is exactly why I have made the plugin disable itself when script extender is present, because script extender will output red error texts and people will panic, I have zero intention to deal with that, EVEN when that error means nothing, it will keep functioning as-is, and before I made this update, people keep asking "why my achievement enabler is disabled, it's not working" when the log clearly stated that it has disabled itself because bg3se is present. SMH.
EDIT: Updated - 11 April 2024, 11:39AM Just a temporary heads-up for some people who are having trouble getting either Native Mod Loader, BG3 Script Extender, and/or Achievement Enabler to work nice with each other...
Spoiler:
Show
If you are having trouble with BG3 Script Extender and Native Mod Loader not working together, allegedly there is something going on with the newest BG3SE update v(2024 March 29), as mentioned within their respective Posts pages (as well as other mod's Posts pages).Native Mod Loaderand Achievement Enabler still works as intended, with Hotfix #23, Hotfix #24, and Hotfix #25.
Possible solutions:
1) Uninstall BG3SE (2024 March 29), and re-install the previous BG3SE v(2024 March 28); some have claimed that this works as a temporary fix, until their next update. Or...
2) Try placing/moving BG3SE (2024 March 29)'s 'DWrite.dll' file into the 'NativeMods' folder (...\Baldur's Gate 3\bin\NativeMods); some people claim this also works as a temporary fix, until their next update.
EDIT: Updated - 8 September 2024, 9:05PM REMINDER: If you are now using (or plan on using) the most recent version of BG3 Script Extender { v(2024 April 30); aka v20 }, please install it the usual/normal way (as described on their Installation notes)---DO NOT install it using the fix that was used for BGSE v(2024 March 29) ---This install-method-fix is only intended for BGSE v(2024 March 29) !
I finally got around to updating my game to Patch 7 yesterday...purged all previous game files, and also purged ALL my mods' files, then reinstalled a fresh new Patch 7 updated game (Steam), then re-downloaded and reinstalled (Manual installs) all my mods (some were updated for Patch 7; others were confirmed still working with Patch 7; a few I am still currently testing for Patch 7 compatibility)...I can confirm that this mod (Achievement Enabler) is still working as advertised, with the new Patch 7 update. \o/ ♥
Welp, I started a new game and when you finally get to the beach; the part where your first fight happens (after landing on the beach), against the three intellect devourers...
...I picked up/grabbed one of them, and killed the other one, using the one I picked up as an improvised melee weapon, and received the achievement "Kill Two Birds With One Gnome", woohoo!! \o/ :)
(I'm actually quite surprised how low the number is, of people that have gotten this achievement, only 9.8%!?! Wow, lol!)
This mod works perfectly fine, alongside mods installed from the In-game Mod Manager.
Spoiler:
Show
There is no reason why it would not, unless otherwise stated by Larian, or AE's mod author, dukethedropkicker. If it's not working for you, then the problem is on your end. You are either having mod conflicts; or game version vs mod versions conflicts; or bad installs/uninstalls.
I just tested this mod (Achievement Enabler) along with an In-game Mod Manager mod ("The Disgusting Hair of Auntie Ethel" by ohforthegamer), and everything installed fine, and everything works fine. I proceeded to attempt the achievement, "Shove Off" Kill a creature with falling damage. The result was the achievement was unlocked.
In-Game Mod Manager mod: "The Disgusting Hair of Auntie Ethel" (by ohforthegamer)
Proceeded to attempt achievement: "Shove Off", Kill a creature with falling damage.
Obtained said achievement.
Achievement Enabler is working fine with In-game Mod Manager mods. Achievements are still unlocked.
Misconceptions regarding the "Yellow Triangle, Exclamation Symbols" within the in-game menus/screens:
Spoiler:
Show
I think some people may be misinterpreting what the "Exclamation Symbol" ("!" aka Caution Symbol) means. Some may think that it signifies that there is an Error of some kind, and/or mods are not working. This is only partially correct (but mostly incorrect).
For the most part, this exclamation symbol ("!") is meant to indicate that there are "Third-Party mods" being used (aka any mods that are not downloaded from the In-game Mod Manager, such as mods from Nexus Mods ). It does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with your mods not working. Mods with this symbol will still work (providing they are version-compatible and installed correctly).
However, there IS one instance where the exclamation symbol does in fact indicate that there is a problem, being the "Mod Issues Detected" pop-up (shown in the last image below).

! NEWS ! Regarding the Patch 8 update: I will be doing a complete purge of all associated game+mods files for a fresh complete game reinstall, to test whether the original files from this mod still work fine (they should, there's no reason why they wouldn't)---to my knowledge and from past experience, AE has worked fine with every update/patch/hotfix (at least it has for me; Steam+Manual installs; I don't use Vortex/MO2) with just a simple reinstall of Native Mod Loader.
Updated - 20 April 2025, 2:50AM After doing a complete/fresh reinstall of the game (Steam) for the Patch 8 update, nuking all associated game folders/files (including Hidden ones), as well as nuking all mods associated folders/files, I redownloaded+reinstalled (Manual installs only) the four holy mods: Native Mod Loader, Achievement Enabler, Native Camera Tweaks, and WASD, and everything is working flawlessly for me (phew! Praise be Lolth, lol!). I should also make mention that I do not have BG3ScriptExtender, nor BG3ModManager installed, as of yet (but they will be eventually/at some point; need to do other testing of things without them installed for now).
I also reset all of my BG3's achievements and stats back to 0/54, using Steam's console (console command), as well as using the 'Steam Achievement Manager (SAM)'. I then started a New Game and played through the Prologue, all the way to the point of falling and landing on the Ravaged Beach crash site, after escaping the Nautiloid. I received the two achievement, "Devil's in the Details" and "Decent from Avernus". This mod is still working as advertised, with the new Patch 8 update, hella nice! \o/ ♥ :)
Achievements Unlocked during the Prologue (New Game)
I did not have any luck with this mod. I got achievements to work by uninstalling this and Native mod loader and instead installing BG3SE via BG3MM -> Tools -> Download Script Extender

I tested the mod in single player and it works as expected. Yet, we have been playing co-op multiplayer and it does not seem to be working for some reason. We all installed the mod. We only have two mods: Party Limit Begone (manual download) and Tactician Enhanced (in-game mod manager) besides Achievement Enabler. Any help regarding that?
The only thing I can think of, is that one (or some) of the people in your group may have mods that not everyone is using, and/or someone is using mods that could be causing conflicts, unbeknownst to the rest of the group? This mod should work fine in multiplayer, as I've heard some people comment that is does. You may want to inquire your issue within those two other mods (Party Limit Begone and Tactician Enhanced), since after reading through their description pages and Posts comments, those mods are much more multiplayer-centric and you may get faster/better help from their threads? It could also possibly be a game bug, as I've also read in the past that there are occasional/frequent base game related bugs that come with using some mods in multiplayer that have plagued the game since release up to the current new Patch 8. Another thing to keep in mind, is that everyone's Load Order must be identical, for multiplayer.
For me it is not working. Whenever I put theBG3AchievementEnabler.dll into the NativeMods folder, the Larilauncher would say that the game data doesn't match and hitting the start button would not run the game, whenever I remove the dll file the game would be working again. I guess this probably need an update? -------------- It actually runs the game somehow, but the achievement is still not working, tried with hiring/wine achievements.
Actually I installed Native Mod Loader after the new patch update and take the new bink2w64 from the patch and rename it to bink2w64_original.dll, so I guess that is not the problem source?
Still works with Patch 8. I got an achievement today with the released patch 8.
Hella nice! \o/ ♥ :)
I will probably be doing my updating/mods-testings (as mentioned on the new last Sticky above) this coming weekend (hopefully, unless something else comes up). Also cuz I like to wait a few days or so after new Patches/Updates/Hotfixes are released, for other mods to get updated, if needed. Also the timing of the release of the Patch 8 update kinda worked against me...one day before my burpday, and today I'm too hung over to get all that shiz done and updated and tested, lmao. 😵 🤢 🪦 👻
I just finished playing through the prologue (for the gazillionth time, lol) with a New Game, and got the two achievements: "Devil's in the Details" and "Decent from Avernus". So this mod still works as advertised, with the new Patch 8 update. (Steam; Manual installs; I don't use Vortex/MO2)
After resetting all of my BG3 achievements back to 0/54, and starting a New Game (for testing purposes):
Works with patch 8. I tested by removing the first achievement "Descent from Avernus" with SAM and redoing that quest.
EDIT: Nvm, does not work based on my own testing. I didnt know that the Script Extender re-enables achievements by default. I tested some more and found that this mod alone does not work.
Hello, If the text log write : IsAddonLoaded patch 1 cannot be found sAddonLoaded patch 2 cannot be found The mod still working or no ? If no how can i fix that ?
I have the same problem, upon searching the internet. I found a similar post on reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/15zzvtw/i_dont_get_achivments_with_mods/ He mentioned his log file writes patch 1 and patch 2 can be found correctly. I assume that indicates the mod is not working.
wait so this does work with patch 8 it just wont show up in the ingame mod manager? Can I used ingame mods alongside this fine and get achievments? Ive seen some mixed comments so im unsure?
It doesnt show up in the ingame mod manager because its not a PAK file inside Appdata mods folder. From my own testing I can conclude it is working. You can try yourself with Steam Achievement Manager and any achievement you already have and can redo easilly.
EDIT: Nvm, does not work. I didnt know that the Script Extender re-enables achievements by default. I tested some more and found that this mod alone does not work.
Hi, I just want to say thank you! I installed everything exactly as described, but initially, this mod didn't work to me, so I also downloaded and installed this script: > > https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/releases<< and it worked perfectly! <3
For people who get the triangle symbol and worry this mod doesn't work, I checked yesterday, removed jack of all trades with SAM, gave myself level 12 and it gave me the achievement after leveling up, it works
