I have spent the past nine months working on this mod and in that time it has grown from just a simple Paladin subclass to it's own class with a menagerie of sub classes. Some of them are great, some of them are good, some of them really janky (cough, WotG/Gunjitsu). If you ask some people they will say the Gunslingers are overpowered, and I suppose that is true.
I have always designed and played this mod while using the highest difficulty settings and increased difficulty mods. Even then some of the abilities can be a bit overpowered. I make no excuses for that, I made this class to be FUN first and foremost. I didn't feel the need to overly shackle myself to DnD tropes or power limitations.
With the game reaching its pinnacle and with promises from Larian for it to receive no further updates beyond bug fixing I find myself turning my eyes to other vistas just as Larian has.
I am back to playing World of Warcraft, after promising myself that I was done with it for good this time 🤣. I am also going to be starting a play through of God of War Ragnarok since it finally came to PC.
I don't know what the next big game for modding will be but I expect I will be there, and the Gunslinger may follow. There will be water if god will it.
With this post, I hereby release all the code and art assets that I have created to the community. I only ask that if anyone is interested in picking up this project that they credit me for anything they use. Some assets in my mod are made by others, and I have credited them on the permissions and credits tab of the main mod page. If you use their stuff I ask that you also credit them.
Thanks to the many people who sent me words of appreciation, and thanks to those who took the time to send me thoughtful bug reports. Thanks especially to those that supported me on my Patreon and Ko-Fi.
Anyway, I guess that's about it. I wish you all long days and pleasant nights!
