Ifan's portrait and crossbow function is still bugged from the time there were multiple spawns of the plain crossbow. I think you have to swap the id as I can spawn in the different id within the console the portrait works fine. Great Mod BTW.
Love this mod - thank you. I noticed that the Elemental Augmentation for the Cape of the Red Prince changes the description of Elemental Augmentation in both Necklace of Elemental Augmentation items I found in the Githyanki creche and Act 3 shipment encounter area.
The change to the necklaces now says Fire only and not all the elements it applies to. I will add that each item functions as expected - the necklaces apply bonuses to each of the intended elements (it is just the description that has changed) and that the cape of the red prince only adds the bonus to fire.
And yes, the necklace and the cape does stack for a total of +10 extra damage.
At the moment I am using the cape, the bicorne, the needle and the crossbow on one character. Not a fan of the lute but it is very apt for the description and the mask is a 2nd headgear slot that cannot go on the same character.
Personally, I only got the portrait for the bicorne (and Fane but that doesn't combine) in Act 1 and then got the rest from Lady Jannath so really happy about that addition.
I was also naively hoping that tattoo needle's crit would apply to ranged attacks as well like some other abilities but it makes sense it only applies to that weapon.
Edit: Is tattoo needle intended to always hit if the wielder has advantage instead of rolling to hit then dealing crit damage on a hit? Using the risky ring alongside it gives an attack that always hits and always gives crit damage.

Hi. it is difficult to find out the reason. You can try to clear data in AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\LevelCache. and try again with save before first visit the Crypt. I need help please. I did start a new game with the newest version and found the note on the beach; went to the chapel dungeon and picked up the fane portrait. But there is no option to combine when I rightclick anything (portrait nor DLC Items). Playing on Patch 7.
What can I do to make it work? If you need more Information on my Setup I provide it! Thank you!

Enjoying the mod alot so far; only minor "issue" I have is with Loshe's lute - I'm somewhat reluctant to have it equipped when there's a chance for my allies to go mad every few seconds ^^; I don't know if it's even possible in engine, but could it changed so that the effects would only activated while in combat? (:
As with Sphleah's post, attemtpting to combine at least the new item and it's portrait results in a failed combination, and a removal of both items. will test another item and portrait combo shortly

As for mods, I can attach the load order text file, But I dont see anything here that "should" be affecting it.

Seems there was a memory issue on my end with multiple items not displaying the correct affixes and effects. upon making a new save they combine without issue. Trying to recreate the original failure currently.
Spawning several tutorial chests seems to recreate it for me. My guess is just the temp files from summoning large numbers and the remainders bugging out the item details. So good news! Nothing to do with your mod!
any chance you could make there a way to get the crossbow without having to start a new game? I had gotten to the end of act 1 and don't want to have to start the whole thing over again for a single item, even though i really want said item
You can repack the mod and add the crossbow to Treasuretable.txt to any trader, see detail for them(https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:TreasureTables_References).Then pack the mod with new added data.
For example to add the crossbow to Brem trader.
