Why can't I see dyes in the Nautiloid chest?

You installed the mod incorrectly or did not install the correct version or are looking in the wrong chest.

Why can't I see dyes for sale by Arron?

You forgot to long rest to refresh his inventory or installed the mod incorrectly.

WTF WHERE DID THE BAGS GO?

Check my new Bags Bags Bags mod. To transfer from v2 of Dyes Dyes Dyes to v1 of Bags Bags Bags and v3 of Dyes Dyes Dyes, install the newest version of both mods and load your existing save.

For anyone who's got issues because this mod includes ModFixer, here's how to remove it:

    1. Download Baldur's Gate 3 Modder's Multitool and follow configuration instructions
    2. Drag DyeDyeDye.pak into Multitool, it will unpack it
    3. In file explorer, go to Multitool > UnpackedMods > DyeDyeDye > Mods > DyeDyeDye folder
    4. Delete the Story folder there
    5. Drop DyeDyeDye folder into Multitool to repack into a zip file
    6. Drag zip into BG3MM to install, don't forget to save and export your load order

All kudos to Xandria68 who posted these instructions on another mod page - lifesaver. Instructions can be applied to any other mod you need to remove ModFixer from.

Thank you so much, you are a lifesaver. Hopefully mods like this will catch up with the times and finally remove modfixer.

What is multitool? Is that a different mod?

No, it's not a mod - just a little bit of software to pack/unpack mods, which allows you to edit them as per instructions above for instance.

please, stop  incorporating modfixer in your mod. It's obsolete, unneeded and may break the game

this mod sneak includes the modfixer, which forces a compile of your story. Modfixer is deprecated

Just save and try it out? Don't see any reason why this wouldn't work anyway.

A request for a version with just one dye of each kind, for use with "Everybody Dyes" (wherein dyes are not consumed on use).
(The bag of dyes in the chest is actually rather heavy, and I usually can't pick it up with my low-strength main character.  Later, selling off 19 of 20 dyes does yield a nice chunk of change early game though...)

Weird bug at the tiefling party, I cannot talk to the non camp npcs by using default left click. Needs to right click then use talk option. No problems with Halsin and Withers. Will you also be going to add the Drake General in the future?

Writing this as of patch 5; just wanted to make a note that the specific Nautiloid chest you need to get the dyes from if you want them in the tutorial is the one in the room next to Shadowheart's pod, where you go to pick up the key for the ornate box and the eldritch rune to open the pod control console. The chest is at the far end of the room, next to a mind flayer corpse.

Wasn't able to get this working (aaron doesn't seem to sell the dyes after a long rest). I put the pak where it should go, but I'm guessing I still need to edit the LSX? I just copied and pasted the info for the bags bags bags mod to get that one working. What would I need to add to the lsx to get this one working as well? Current lsx reads as follows:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>

Never mind, It turns out all i had to do was edit the lsx after all. The UUID is in the description, but I wasn't sure where to plug it in at first. If you are dumb like me, just copy and paste this into your ModSettings.lsx file with notepad and it should work. At least it did for me.
