I have never played a Transmutation Wizard so I apologize for my ignorance but am I understanding this right? You just create a stone....it sits in your inventory.....and you get buffed?
Also, is there an option to create a philosopher's stone? that just gives you a LOT of buffs so it doesn't clutter your inventory?
Hi, No need to apologize, very few people in BG3 have ever played a wizard subclass other then Evocation cos they are incredibly weak in comparison. Yes it is a vanilla spell and all I did was make it stronger. I initially wanted this to be weak enough to be used also by people who don't use other mods because they want a balanced playthrough but then I made a stronger version for people that use difficulty enhancing mods. What would you like to see as the philosopher's stones buffs? It doesn't clutter your inventory as you can only create one at a time and you can choose to keep it or give it to your party members. Once you create another the previous one will vanish.
aaaah. that does make it balanced. Good to know. And yes, I love FMA and I had no idea Transmute Wizard would allow me to fill that role. I will definitely have to play that on my next playthrough. Perhaps a Artificer\Transmute Wizard Multiclass to get as close to the Elric brothers as possible for a character.
As for the Philospher's stone, I would imagine it would be an end-all, be-all stone. A combination of all the buffs, I suppose. But dealer's choice. It is your mod. I would have to play Transmute Wizard as a standalone class first to get a proper feel for what a BG3 philospher's stone would have to be.

Yes. And they are pretty powerful, so no need to go ahead and create a mod to buff them m)
The main “problem” with Transmutation Wizards in this game is that people just use them to camp buff and never put them in the actual party; that is not solved by the mod.
I don't agree about "only evocations is good" That is the subclass that fits many playstyles because in crowded fights if very useful to drop a fireball without hurting an allie but have you ever tried divination? i can CC almost anyone....dominate Viconia in that fight for example Abiuration makes the mage very tanky and mostly pass every concentration check if you can pass 10 (easy to get) Necromancer is nice too, sure a bit weaker but OK Never tried the others...they seem weak. Now i'm testing trasmutation and these stones could be very useful! I already changed the constitution stone to give advantage instead of proficiency (since it's better to take Resilient feat than warcaster) Elemental stones could be changed to give immunity to X instead of resistance to X Maybe add immunity to blindness to darkvision and evade opportunity attacks on top of speed
alterNERDtive you can't compare Evocation no friendlyfire or divination dice to these stones, please. Would you really prefer to have 50% damage reduction to one elemente one instead of 100% chance to CC a boss?
