This mod should be compatible with other mods as long as they don't modify the progression table for 2nd level Druids.
If you encounter any issues or bugs, please make a bug report rather than a comment so I don't have to move it manually. Also, please make sure you read the Potential Issues/Disclaimers section of the mod description before making a report—thanks! 😊
Is this mod compatible with other mods? Yes. Unless it changes the Druid progression table for level 2, it should be compatible. If another mod does change the progression table, i.e. it's another Druid related mod, I recommend using Compatibility Framework, which allows compatibility between subclasses. Any issues related to that mod should be directed to its comments section. This mod features innate support for that mod, and requires Script Extender to function.
Why doesn't the subclass show up in character creation? You probably either: 1) Didn't install it properly. Take a look at the installation guide at the end of the mod description. or 2) Haven't updated all your mods. Make sure that ImprovedUI and Script Extender in particular are up-to-date. or 3) Have other mods that overwrite it. Please place Community Library at the very top of your load order, and Compatibility Framework at the very bottom. If that doesn't work, try placing this mod further down in the load order. If the problem still persists, disable all other addons except the ones required by this mod, enable your mods one by one, and see which one is causing the issue.
X happens when I do Y, even though it shouldn't. Why? Your other mods are most likely causing a conflict. The first thing you would need to do is to update each and every single one of your other mods to make sure they're not the ones causing the problem. If you've done that and the issue persists, try respeccing out of this subclass before updating it, then respec back. If that doesn't help, disable all mods apart from the required ones and enable your them one by one to see which one is causing problems. Once you've done that and the issue still persists, you are welcome to open a bug report.
My mods are designed to be as non-dependent on other mods as possible, and I'm not responsible for issues appearing when playing with multiple mods. I will not go out of my way to accommodate or implement workarounds to make it compatible with mods other than the ones listed in the Required files section. If the authors of other mods that cause conflicts wish to do so, they may.
Can you make a version where everything is unlocked by the time you reach level 12? No.
I know Patch 8 makes the new subclasses not show up. CompatibilityForOfficialClass works wonders in the meantime, so use that one if you want to keep using my mods and have the new subclasses show up too.
This is a beautiful subclass, one of the best i've seen around. I just can't understand if you are unable to cast Defile Ground during wildshape or i'm having some sort of problem myself. In the Critical Role version, it shouldn't be limited to the human form, or i'm mistaken?
Edit. Seems not even Call of the Shadowseeds can be used in wildshape, so i guess its design. But what is the point in having a buffed wildshape if you won't ever use it, in order to use the subclass features? Or, on the contrary, never using the class features in order to fight in wildshape. Its kinda wierd, and there is a reason why most of druid class features in D&D 5e aren't limited to the humanoid form.
Visiting this mod again after being away for a while, and just wanted to say thank you again havsglimt for making my dream a reality in helping create this mod <3 I'm very thankful for your time and patience. Blighted Druids are such a cool dichotomy of life and death and it's one of my favorite aesthetics.
Super late but thank you for putting in the effort of making all the groundwork that made it possible for me to finish it! I love the theme of death and decay so it was an absolute given to make it something tangible 😊
Do you think Syrchalis's Druid perfection https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4939?tab=description which adds more skills to wildshapes would be compatible with this mod and its Wildshape?
Hey, Noticing its hard to use the call of shadow seeds, as it only works if damaged and not killed. is it possible for it to be made possible to temporarily be able to summon it, if the person was inflicted and died at the same time?
also separately What mods/abilities do you suggest/know of that spawn a Beast, Fey or Plant that is accessible to druids? I so far just have Conjure Woodland beings, and summon Animal spirit. As well as call of the shadow seed, interesting though is grasping vine is not counted for the bonuses from level 10 for some reason.
To answer your first question, it might be possible, but it adds bloat to the code. Might be worth looking into, if / when havsglimt returns to modding.
For spells, I recommend 5e Spells, it has some good conjuration spells that summon Dryads and beasts and I believe it works perfectly well with this mod.
Does this subclass work with mods that edit existing wildshape forms? As in are the features from this mod added to them, or are the blighted forms considered their own transformations? Mainly concerned for Syrchalis' Wildshape Viability and Druid QoL mods, which make a bunch of edits.
This should work alongside Syrchalis' mods, I believe I did a playthrough with both mods. If you want to be sure, you can try loading this mod below Syrchalis' in the load order, and if you don't see any of Syrchalis' changes, then try swapping them around.
The problem causing both circle of the blighted and the first vampire to not show up seems to be a wrong uuid in the compatibility framework inside the mod, i changed both to the correct ones and everything is working fine, its actually easy to do if you have any experience messing with mod files
Can you share which uuids to change? I'm experiencing this issue currently and I have no modding experience 😓 edit: Also curious about what tools to use to edit the files
The UUIDs aren't wrong, since they all refer back to the correct entries in other files. I've uploaded a new version that should solve this issue though, so take a look and see if it works for you.

Any chance that it will be available on the in-game modding list?

"As for the armor, the armor I'm using in the screenshot of this mod is the Shadow Druid armor from Vestments of the Faithful! The headwear is Shapeshifter Hat together with a veil from Veils of Faerun :) "
