It is such a shame that the NPC we "recruit" this way cannot use the "edit appearance mod". Since I have a Cambion as my Tav thanks to another mod and in Act 3 I wanted to give Mizora my Tavs looks. I know there is an ultra complicated way to do this already by using a modding tool with the "Ring of Metamorph" mod but damn... I am too much of an amatuer to even understand the tutorial.
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/5472 allows you to recruit Mizora as a hireling without all her powers but you get her. Adding https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4420 bothe the main mod and the one that gives you fly will allow her to fly. You can't subsequently update everything in the mirror, but she can change clothes, skin tone eys color and maybe something else. Adding in the new update Plus UI allows a little more customozation and after I customized mizora (mainy fixed hair color.) I removed PLUS UI with no ill ffects.
I just have a little wish: Is it possible to only made NPCs who have positive attitude like "friendly" to have their clothes changed by equipment? Now with this mod all NPC appearance changed with their equipment so some of them seems lost some "identity".
Such as those Cashguards around of the The Counting House not wearing Golden armor anymore. And all those Flaming Fists also don't show their Flaming fist armor anymore.
So if it is possible for only those friendly NPCs (shown as green dots on Minimap) who would change there appearance by equipment would make everything more cooler.
I have a question: If I recruit the npc with the other mod, change its cloth, dismiss them, will they stay with their clothes I gave them or they would change it back?

How does this mod even work? I have checked dialogs, examine, options, spells, items, and even Withers himself. Even toyed around with mod load order. How do I recruit/edit clothes on the NPCs?
I didn't quite understand your question. Are you saying it's impossible to change the clothes for wither? Because wither is undead beings and not humanoid beings, they cannot change clothes
