Arkham Knight Save Files

To install a save, place it the following location:

Steam\userdata\[YOUR STEAM ID #]\208650\remote

Unlike the other Arkham games, Knight has a hidden backup feature. As a result, it has a slightly different naming convention.

BAK1Save0x0.sgd, BAK1Save0x1.sgd, and BAK1Save0x2.sgd correspond to the first save slot.

BAK1Save1x0.sgd, BAK1Save1x1.sgd, and BAK1Save1x2.sgd correspond to the second save slot.

And so on. The first number after "Save" is the save slot (with 0 corresponding to Slot 1 in-game), and the second number is the backup iteration. There are three total files for each save slot.

The game's first save slot is BAK1Save0x0. You can safely rename any save file to SpSave_v1_x, SpSave_v2_x, or SpSave_v3_x (with X being the backup iteration number) to put a save file in the other three slots. You cannot have more than four total save files at one time (technically eight including backups).

When installing a save file, make sure that you've already got a save file for the slot you want to fill. If you don't already have a save file in slot two, for example, then the game won't recognize it if you add a "SpSave_v2_1" file. Just start a new save and then overwrite it with the modded/backup save.

Optimized Free Roam 1 (Riddler ready to fight)

A save file optimized for the most entertaining Free Roam experience by leaving as many side missions open as possible, with all Riddler collectibles claimed and trials completed but Riddler not confronted to allow you to play the boss fight if desired.

Details:
- Main story completed on both main game and New Game Plus.
- Maximum side missions discovered on map but not completed (with exceptions where necessary to progress Riddler, see bottom note)
- All showcase items are unlocked, including the 240% suit. Obviously, you need to own any DLC.
- No upgrades unlocked, but sufficient points earned to be able to buy them all. Just in case you want the challenge.
- All Riddler collectibles claimed and Riddler trials beaten; Riddler is ready to fight at the Orphanage on main game and NG+.
- All AR Challenges unlocked, but never played. Your score is your own.
- Almost all destructible objects (weak walls, windows, glass, etc.) are still intact for your amusement, even those for trophies.
- By default, these save files are listed in save file slot 3 (which is listed as "2" in Arkham Knight's file naming structure).

The following side missions had to be progressed to some extent in order to access all Riddler collectibles and trials:
- A Friend in Need (100%) (main game only, not NG+)
- Creature of the Night (25%) (main game only, not NG+)
- The Perfect Crime (100%) (main game only, not NG+)
- Own the Roads (1/8 Miagani Island checkpoints; the one beneath Elliot Memorial Hospital) (main game AND NG+)
- Riddler's Revenge (95%) (main game AND NG+)

*Only the side missions that are absolutely necessary to progress Riddler's collectibles and trials have been completed, and only up to the point necessary. Where possible, a debug console was used to enable ghosting through walls to collect trophies that were otherwise stuck behind missions or other barriers. Where not possible, the mission was completed. Additionally, thanks to the use of ghosting, most destructible walls and windows on the map are also still intact for your amusement. Some of these side missions are still available in New Game Plus, since the Riddler collectibles are shared between main game and NG+.

Optimized Free Roam 2 (Riddler trials available on NG+)

Identical to the OFR 1 save, but with the following differences:
- Riddler is ready to fight on main game, but on New Game Plus, all Riddler trials have been left incomplete.
- All Riddler collectibles have been obtained, however, just like in OFR 1.

Optimized Free Roam 3 (Riddler defeated)

Identical to the OFR 1 save, but with the following differences:
- Riddler has been defeated on both main game and New Game Plus, leaving the orphanage empty and stopping Riddler's announcements, meaning you can freely enjoy the city and most side missions without Riddler talking over the loudspeakers/city intercom.

Optimized Free Roam 4 (all side missions available)

Identical to the OFR 1 save, but with the following differences:
- None of the Riddler collectibles are collected
- None of the Riddler trials have been completed

This allows for ALL side missions to remain available, specifically A Friend in Need, Creature of the Night, The Perfect Crime, and the militia checkpoint underneath Elliot Memorial Hospital, in addition to the Riddler trials themselves. All side missions and available Riddler collectibles have been discovered on the map.
