1. Naming convention. Putting "Leader - The " x" " for all the scenario name doesnt flows well with original scenario name of Vanilla and DLC (example : Northern Raider & Lone Wolf just sounds so cool). In case u want people to know that certain origin is a mod, you can just state it in the origin detail that you made it and where to download it at the bottom... 2. Scenario image. For the Savage origin its the same image with the Northern Raider, I mean i dont mind using original image from the game, but please dont repeat using same image twice...
Pretty minor stuff but I get your point(s). Want the scenarios to be easily recognizable, that's all. They are it's own 'type'. Was not even aware of the double image, but almost don't play BB anymore. Will look at it if I create a new version, not sure if I will update mod though. Cheers.
I have a suggestion for Grandmaster. I feel like the southern city states being hostile doesn't make as much sense. Why would they be concerned about the business of the noble houses? The city states at most tolerate them and don’t get into their business
Thanks for the suggestion. The reason why the city states do not like the order is that they fought them in the past in the context of a holy war.
"The nobles you assisted in the battles against the heathens conspired to destroy your order."
The 'heathens' are the city states, maybe I should clarify that.
In fact I based this scenario on the history of the knights Templar. They fought against the muslim countries but were betrayed by the french king somewhere around 1312. The Grandmaster is named after Jacques de Molay, the grandmaster of the knights Templar, who was put to death.
And I needed an excuse to create a scenario where (almost) every faction is your enemy.
Just wanted to say I think you're filling a gap here that I've long felt existed. Nothing wrong with the existing origins, but these, conceptually, are all very appealing. Excellent work.
To me it made sense the BB-world has its share of powerful warriors/'leaders' with their own history, personalitiy, allies, motivation, weapons, handicaps etc. Less generic in a sense, adding some extra flavor hopefully.
Thanks. I checked it The roster is now limited, but i dont get the "move faster" part. If it is supposed to be like the deserters background with the First Turn, then it's not working. If it is a buff to turn order then maybe it is? Maybe it should be clarified in the Starting notes.
You move faster on the worldmap, exactly like the 'band of poachers' background. Basespeed is set to 100, poacher scenario party gets 111. First scenario gets 111 as well. It's not related to the battles or initiative or anything. But I will clarify this in the description like you suggest when I create a new version. It should probably be 'you move faster on the worldmap' or something like that. Using speedmods you hardly notice it, but it makes travelling around a bit more efficient of course.
