For the people who have the launcher close immediately. The launcher uses your operating system's integrated WebView, so if you have an old system that doesn't have a WebView or some sort of weird Windows install where you've removed edge, it won't work.
If you have a normal, reasonably modern system, and still have issues, please let me know.
Do you always have the launch the game from the MSU Launcher for this to work or can I launch from steam after I set MSU launcher up? Also, thanks for updating this amazing mod!
For the 4GB patch, no, you just need to make sure you run it, for the preload patcher part, yes, and that can cause edge case issues with some mods if you don't launch from the launcher at least once after updating your mod list.
After one use, launching the launcher nearly crashes my system (up to date W10 with webwiev installed, I tried to reinstall it as another user suggested but I had already installed, edge is installed too). I don't know what is happening but I'm afraid of using this (even when I think is mandatory), not even the launcher don't start but windows starts behaving like is about to crash, can't even launch task manager because it doesn't respond.
Even weirder, just trying to right click (my last attempt was to lauch it with admin privileges) nearly crasehd my system, screen went black, task manager unable to execute... after a few moments everthing seems normal again.
Since it seems I'm the only one having this problem it seems more like something weird is happening in my system.
The program should generate a log file (I think it makes a logs folder?), it should be pretty short so if you could send it here that'd be great to help debug the issue.
Very strange, when I try to start the launcher it flashes up white then closes immediately after about a second. The logs only say, INFO MSULauncher: Starting MSU Launcher. I also tried running it as admin but that also did not work.

Problem was fixed after downloading and installing Evergreen Standalone Installer from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2?form=MA13LH
