Just want to stress that menready1108 made the .exe file that changes weapon FOV values. I only made the optional mod which increases FOV values for aiming down sights on all weapons.
After removing this mod and unistalling-reinstalling the game i was getting constant error messages, even though i removed everything related to that. The game just wouldn't launch no matter what i did. So, if you are in the same position try this >> * If you remove the file named CryptBase.dll from the games' root directory, the game launches and you can actually play again. If anybody is encountering this issue, seems like this works rn. *
for anyone asking for an update, i doubt very highly there will be another FREE tool that does this again thanks to EA Anti Cheat. It will take along time to do and so there most likely wont be a FREE version until a few years from now. Looks like your gonna have to pay a sketchy private cheat person for this feature now.
Is it at all possible to edit the vehicle FOV too? In Battlefield 4, Flawless Widescreen can take care of giving you a better FOV when in vehicles but there's no plugin for BF1 inexplicably, even though theres one for BFV. I dont mind crappy FOV in tanks, but that shouldnt be the case in cars or planes.
I don't understand your explanation or you explain it wrong. The frosty mod manager is only used for the mod that modifies the fov of the scopes, nothing more. And do you run the exe before or after running bf1?
Frosty Mod Manager is only for the ADS fov mod which affects how close the gun is to your face when aiming down sights. The .exe file is for affecting fov values of the weapon while not in ADS. You launch the .exe whenever but every value you set will be reset after every match.
Hello, im having an issue trying to figure out the Better Weapon Aiming FOV since this is my first time using Frosty Mod Manager, after dragging the file into Frosty Mod Manager im not sure what i have to do next to change the fov while ADS? if you could help me figure this out please
All you do is drag the mod into Frosty and then apply the mod and it should show up on the right side of the program with a check mark. Then launch the game in Frosty and you are all set.
Always happy to update the mod if needed, and the reason I never modified AA, optical, and marksman sights was because I wanted to focus on base weapon sights mostly. Also, I can only find FOV data for the base weapon sights like default, radium, and buckhorn sights. I would be willing to modify the AA, optical, and marksman sights a bit but I'm not sure where their FOV data is stored.
