if you are already success to force into HDR mode then in your GameUserSettings.ini you may found that bUseHDRDisplayOutput value now automatically changed from False to TRUE. Also you may try to take screenshot with Reshade, if the screenshot result are washes out or dull, that indicate the HDR mode already actived.
You can combine with my other mod to get the best result** : https://www.nexusmods.com/blackmythwukong/mods/7 ** If you are also using my Simple Realistic shader mod before 25/08/2024, then please update it to the newer version to eliminate flickering problem with Ray-Tracing or Low level Lumen's volumetric light and fogs with some certain of upscale method and configuration (dirty Z-depth buffer). The detail about that you can read it on my sticky posted in that mod page.
Hello, the HDR makes the face of Wukong totally dark when backing the sun. And I cannot ture the HDR off even remove the mod file. Do you know which setting was changed and how to ture it back? Thanks.
You can try to turn-off Windows's HDR mode ON from windows control panel, then running Wukong game. After it running properly, UE5 engine automatically turn-off all settings in your current game config.
After that you can turn ON again your Windows 10/11 HDR mode ON again.
it's too dark bro .when I play some of other games which use HDR I need to turn the brightness to full to make it won't so dark .how can I change the HDR brightness ?
Yeah, this mod actually cannot accommodate all display type, brand and models. The result may vary. Can you mention what is monitor screen that you currently using now?
How do you use RTX HDR in this game? It's says no filters are available, because there is no Fullscreen mode. Is there a way to force Fullscreen mode, to turn on RTX HDR?
Had it working using the NVTrueHDR mod hack (look up NVTrueHDR on Nexus) after Nvidia App updated to give support to BMWK; then suddenly it stopped working after the last update and I can't get either RTX HDR, or Dynamic Vibrance to work (other filters work fine though).
If you look up "Black Myth Wukong, Hisense TV" online you will see why they left the HDR out of the game (hint: you can enable it if you buy a HiSense TV).
you can adjust it with my reshade that I mentioned above ;) Just turn-down the dark level value from 0.100 (my default) to somewhere 0.015-0.035 (or even to minus values; it depends your screen model/type).
Unfortunately, this caused a strange "screen door" blur effect across the whole screen when moving the camera, like you'd see on an old VR headset. It was most noticeable in areas with godrays in view.
My monitor is a Samsung G95NC 57" ultrawide and I'm playing at 7680x2160 resolution with all settings set to "cinematic" and RT very high.
After testing, the screen door effect is not present without this mod.
It's still an HDR error after forcing it on.,I feel like before the official update of the game.,Only the RTX hdr in GeForce is useful.,Direct SDR simulates the effect filter of HDR.,Although it seems to reduce the number of frames by 2-3 frames.

would be great if we can have a side by side comparison taken of the screen (with a phone).
