Well I didn't went too much in depths with the testing, just played some dungeons and ajusted it on the go. I found my sweetspot to be 9. With 10 i had a hard time slicing, but with 9 when you get the right gesture and put some force/speed into it it's just butter smooth. You could try 8 but below it'll just be too easy you're going to dismember even when you don't want to.
Its funny cuz people will release these mods that are supposed to make the game easier than Vanilla, when in reality I think most of us are looking for ways to make the game more challenging than Vanilla.
the reality is that no mod will make the game actually difficult without making the ai too tanky. an actually good difficulty mod would overhaul the ai in general so that they're actually smart and can move similarly to the player. Which won't happen, so instead you either get mods that make tiny parts of the game (like dismembering people) easier, or mods that give ai like 1000 hp and attack 200% faster. Neither of which actually makes the game interestingly difficult.
Even at 20 velocity, it feels like dismemberment is easier than in Vanilla, which is not what I'm looking for. Any recommendations for mods that make it more realistic?
Chopping through leather, chainmail, muscles and bone shouldn't be this easy.

Does anyone know what would the value be for default vanilla dismemberment, for comparison?
