With the release of 1.0 of BaS close at hand, I'm going to be locking the comments on my mods until they have been ported to 1.0, here is a small FAQ:
Q - When are the mods going to be updated? A - I don't know. I would like to spend some time enjoying the new update before I begin the process of updating my mods, and I don't know how much will have changed in the back end, which could require serious rewrites and with how busy life is it may take a decent length of time, as I would also like to make sure my mods are balanced/integrated into the Crystal Hunt Mode.
Q - Where can we find the mods when they're updated? A - Right here. I won't be uploading new versions to any sites and they'll be updated right here on Nexus and Mod.io
Q - What about any mods that have been left behind from previous updates (eg. Gunblades/Manablasters) A - I'd like to update these to 1.0 aswell, but I don't know how long those will take.
Q - Any plans for Nomad ports in future? A - No. I will not be porting any of my mods to Nomad, nor do I give anyone permission to. That being said, I don't own the concept of the things that I mod, just, you know, don't use my code/assets to make it yourself.
Past couple days I've been playing dungeons over and over again and something I'd love to see added, A flashlight, I find that the maps get super dark sometimes and would love if I could use a flashlight on my arm instead of a flashlight item I get from another mod
Just some suggestions if you want to make something else
hidden sword. I know this doesn't exist. As in like the normal hidden blade but when you reveal it it's the size of a full on sword. I guess it would be more of a joke weapon
forearm blade. Like the one Eivor has, where it goes on top of the arm instead of below it.
Hidden gun. Like the one Ezio has where there's a blade but you can also fire a gun by pulling a trigger
A more accurate hookblade.
Customisation. Like Ghetto's gun mod, where you can customise the colour, attachments sound and more
Just more normal blades. Like Edward's blade, just make normal blades with different designs. Could also add to customisation idea
multi-prong hidden blade. Like a fork but it's a hidden blade.
Hidden taser. A blade that stuns/incapacitates people instead of killing them. Maybe they're unconscious for 30 seconds or something
proper smoke bombs. The ones in Basim's toolset and MMP are either underwhelming or not very similar to the games
Grapple blade. like a hidden blade and a grapple hook put together as the ability so you can have the shield module on the forearm and the grapple blade on the underarm. maybe also be able to drag enemies to you with the grapple
poison blade/just poison items. If you stab someone non-lethally they die after a short period
Makeshift blade. one that looks like its made from scrap. and make you can take it apart to use as sharp objects/knifes
A blade that can open and close like the multi-prong blade but it can close into 1 blade
add a scope for ranges abilities like phantom blades so you don't need the laser assistance
Throwing knife store on the forearm
multi-jointed blade. like a pivot blade but you have 2 choices where to rotate, either by the arm or halfway up the blade. so it can act like a pivot blade and a hookblade
most of these are REALLY complicated, and the "hidden taser" is already a function of the mod, just grab someone and pull the trigger with the shock module attached
I have tried almost everything to get this mod to work. I've reinstalled all of my mods multiple times, loaded just the mod by itself, got the mod in-game, but no matter what I do it always gets stuck at 88% when loading my character. I even tried making a whole new character. How do I fix this issue? Just to clarify, I run blade and sorcery PCVR off of my oculus 2 headset via link cable.
Happy birthday(although this is late) but, unfortunately, this will never be ported to nomad due to the ongoing harassment and death threats the modder had received (don’t know if it’s still going on now). maybe one day but that’s very, very unlikely. There are some small alternatives on nomad that are very well made that us fellow nomadians will have to stick to until further mods are released. hoped this helped and as I said, I hope you had a nice birthday
