Hey man, discovered your Guide today. As it lacks of modding jb Ps4 guides in the Internet I am glad that I found yours. I own both a Ps4 Pro 9.00 and recently I could get my hand on a Ps5 with firmware 4.50. So my first question now do you think it will be possible in the future to run mods on a Ps5 using your guide here? I am aware it needs much more features developed in the Ps5 scene like of course the use of plugins like the AFR for the Ps5 too.
Anyway, related to your Ps4 jb mod guide, last time I suck by trying to run some FIFA 16 PC mods on the FIFA 16 fpkg game at my Ps4 Pro. I have also the physical copy of the game but that one doesn´t change anything unfortunetly. I enabled HEN, enabled the plugin Loader with AFK Plugin and started Filezilla connected to my Ps4. I followed another Tut by deathrtg himself I believe while he is modding Dying light 2. But no mod was shown in my game finally. Maybe it´s not possible to mod FIFA 16 or I am missing some major steps, but PES 2021 football game are well modded by some Guys. SO I wonder what I am doing wrong?!
whatever, I will follow now your guide here to mod Bloodborne.
Just wanna say many thanks you released your knowledge here. It´s a shame there wasn´t much response till now. But I am guess it´s caused because there are very rare Guides and Tuts for Ps4 jb modding around and many search for Guides but didn´t found any.

Yes I imagine once the PS5 exploits mature enough we will start getting these plugins ported to that console.  Once the plugins are ported everything should work the same I would think.

As for your issue with getting mods to work on FIFA, my first recommendation is to check the steps on looking at the game's internal file structure.  AFR needs your folder setup to match the game's internal folder structure or else it won't overwrite the files.  There are some basic instructions how to do this at the end of my tutorial.  Basically you need to FTP to the sandbox folder while the game is running so you can view how the game files are laid out.  Then you should look at the mod files you have downloaded and find those in the FTP sandbox folder.  Once you find them you can know the file path of them and set up your AFR folders accordingly.

      Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation especially my question was related to some off topics besides Bloodborne! In the meantime my Bloodborne runs well with mods thanks to your Guide.
One last question or 2: I tried my FIFA 16 modding with my legit disc copy of FIFA 16. I followed your steps in the guide even the important parts while running the game in the background and checking with Filezilla in sandbox Folder the games file structure. It´s not useful this way, right? I guess I need to dump the game first and use it as a FKPG, right? I watched Modded Warfares Tutorial a couple of weeks ago but I should watch them again I guess.

The tutorial should work fine if you have the disc installed.  I am not familiar with FIFA modding, it's possible you need to inject your modded file into one of the game's internal archives.  If you know which one you need, you can just pull the archive from the sandbox folder instead of dumping the entire game to a fpkg.  You may also want to refer to any installation tutorials provided by FIFA modders.  They would likely provide steps on installing the mod (via fpkg), you can basically follow that tutorial up to the point they tell you to move the modded file into the game's dumped files.  At that point you can refer to my tutorial and place that file in the appropriate FTP location on your /data/GoldHEN location on the PS4.

Hi, been back at my new Ps4 Pro and wanna try out again to Mod FIFA 16. Related to your your last reply I never dumped a Game or some Files directly from the sandbox/pfsmnt. I will try that method because the "easy" way via my retail Game Version unfortunetly still doesn´t work. FYI I searched for PS4 FIFA modding in general several times but no one did it or reported it. Internet is full of modding tutorials related to FIFA Ps3 Modding, but the files are not all different but the main file where Ps3 Modders extract the FIFA 16 PS3 big files are changed. The huge Problem is that FIFA 16 have their game files stored in big files. Anyway I can extract with FIFA 16 pc tools the content of the big files which I also need for the PS4 Version of the Game. I also can regenerate the extracted files with pc tools. It´s needed to regenerate the modded files everytime they get changed. But nothing works till now. I provide you with a screenshot of my plugins.ini. Maybe I forgot something. I really think the game is moddable with AFR because the extracted Files from Ps4 are really similar to the PC Files which I modded the game since 8 years.
Anyway, if I have more luck with the sandbox dumped Files I´ll let you know.
PS: Your tutorial works a charme with Bloodborne and Elden Ring.

    The files doesn't need conversion?

If the game mods were made for non-bloodborne PC games they would likely need some sort of conversion

Were you talking about RDR1 or RDR2 at the end of the tutorial? I'm confused...

No, the whole point was to explain the logic so you can do that yourself.  Re-read that part of the tutorial

I've done everything this tutorial has shown, but it just doesn't work, i've been trying to install the maria moveset mod but nothing shows up at all. The plugins.ini is exactly as it is on the guide and I replaced it with my title id: CUSA00900, what else could possibly be the issue?

Hello. I mod games including Elden Ring on the PS4 which was also developed by FromSoftWare.

      If you still need help:

First, you want to start by verifying your AFR actually is working. Ensure that the plugins.ini is correct. If you like, you can show me a screenshot of the plugins.ini and I will tell you if it is fine or not.

I did an overview of the files from the Lady Maria moveset mod you mentioned. I know Elden RIngs directory but not Bloodbornes. They probably are somewhat similar. You could simply drag and drop into the games proper AFR directory via ftp in order to test. If all is good, the mod will work just fine.

Apologies @cardface8, I thought you were the same user who direct messaged me for help on this same day.  Please check my troubleshooting steps in the guide if you have not already, and follow back with screenshots of folder locations, etc.

So this will work also with the randomizer or character movement mods like the one here for Gehrman?

This is not working for me and I am sure that I did everything in this "guide" it seems like some prerequisites are missing here.

What step are you getting stuck at, exactly.  Providing screenshots of your plugins.ini, filezilla FTP folder setup on the PS4, etc would be helpful.
