Those of you playing Bloodborne on PC deserve to have the same experience as those who played it originally on the PlayStation. Our mod aims to help you do just that! (Time we updated this silly blurb!) Shadps4 is at the point with Bloodborne, at least, where it is pretty damn close to perfect on AMD cpus and a bit less close to perfect on late-gen Intel cpus, but still we are only talking 4-5% less than OG. This mod will help those using late-model Intel cpus experience a crashless playthrough, and anyone trying to use higher than default resolution a decent chance a less crashes.
Also we have the 60fps cutscene fix so that you can keep it at 60fps and skip the black screen of death on cutscenes.
Have a good hunt, young hunters, and remember - fear the old blood!

12/27/2024 - We have officially deprecated the non-tessellation version of SFXR since tessellation is in the main branch now and really, anyone who needs the non-tess version has it by now and it hasn't changed in a while. If you REALLY need it you can find Xenobyte or Gazu on the Shadps4 discord and we can get it to you. Have a great new year and look for a trailer for our upcoming mod soon!!
12/14/24 In celebration of the tesselation branch FINALLY getting merged into the main ShadPS4 branches, we uploaded Tesselation Stand Alone 3.9! This includes the crashy projectiles in A Call Beyond replaced with working ones! A few other minor things. Enjoy this little gift for today's celebration!
12/7/14 Uploaded tesselation stand alone 3.8 and SFX Restoration non-tess 11.0 - Cainhurst returned to OG since the snow is fixed in most Shadps4 builds now! Enjoy. Also, just an FYI - we are probably only going to update this mod less now because.... wait for it.... we are working on something very, VERY, special for all you BloodBorne players out there who are clamoring for a new BB experience! The SFXR team along with the BB Enhanced team combined our super powers and what came out in the meeting was something fantastic. We will hopefully have something to show you before Christmas, with the full mod likely sometime in early 2025! We can't wait for you to see what we are woring on!
11/26/14 **** Well, that's why it was beta, folks. Unfortunately the mist in the lamps also crashes the Lecture Hall doors on Intel, so, unfortunately, for now, no mist! Please roll back to 3.6 non beta if you updated to the beta.

By the way it looks like the BLOOD ON CLOTHES mod has been incorporated into the ShadEmu main and tess branches so we will leave it in optional files for a while but grab it now if you want to have a copy!
11/18/24 SFXR 60fps cutscene fix 2.3 uploaded, few SFX added back to the two cutscenes that crashed due to SFX so it should be transparent now.
11/18/24 Well, never say never eh? We added a second Gehrman cutscene fix and two small SFX fixes so it works on intel CPU systems too. This should be it and hopefully we are good now. Yes, I probably just jinxed us again. Ha ha.
11/17/24 Uploaded v2.0 of the 60fps cutscene fix. Added Gehrman "refuse" cutscene and after Martyr Logarius cutscene. Should be all the crashy ones now. Enjoy!
11/17/24 Uploaded v1.7 of the 60fps cutscene fix. Added Mergo's Wet Nurse to the fix and adjusted Vicar Amelia to be a little more reliable and smooth.
Added the tesselation update 2.5 as a stand-alone download. You don't need to install it over 10.9.1 any longer, just download and go. Non-stand-alone will be in old files for a while in case you need it.
11/17/24 Uploaded v1.5 of the 60fps cutscene fix for after ROM, Lawrence, Ludwig, and Vicar Amelia as well. Cutscenes fixed to stop cutting off dialogue as well. Just in case this one doesn't work with your fps on your rig, I left the original one in old files. Please test thoroughly and let us know if the cutscenes are still crashing. If so we'll adjust the numbers.
11/16/24 Uploaded a fix for the after ROM and DLC BOSS cutscenes for anyone still experiencing black screen freezing when playing at 60FPS. Also includes files for undoing our 60fps cutscene skip patch if needed.

11/13/24 Uploaded the "blood on clothes" mod everyone was asking about. First, it is NOT compatible with the rainbow/blackness fix mod. Second it is in early beta, so be aware. Third, if it doesn't work good for you it is still very hardware dependent. We uploaded it so that people can play with it some an duse it for fun movies etc. Enjoy!

Healing vial crashes again so for now its different, yes, we know. Since we haven't updated in a bit we figured we'd give you a taste of what we are working on. Added to the main files an optional update that will add not only the fire image to your Torch and Hunter's Torch, but now it comes with a light source so you can use it in the dark! You can also light enemies on fire with it and you'll see a few flames on them! We are still hard at work behind the scenes. *** Updated now to work everywhere. Enjoy!

10.8 - Finished restoring the boss projectiles and restored many and reworked many other boss special effects. Most bosses should have all or most of their important SFX restored, no more invisible damage!! Details:

10.5 - Some nice additions in this one. First of all, we gave those awful Brainsuckers back their projectile! Now you can see annoyance in physical form coming right at you! We also added a new ITEM ICON, and if you can't see this one, well, you need to get your eyes checked! It's even visible on fattys! We reworked the moonlight sword and gave it back its waves projectile. More stuff, details:

10.2 Fixed cannons
*** Special Note: If you summon Damian the NPC for the ROM fight we found that if you drop into the ROM arena and then get close to ROM but not engage him and then turn around and watch the Damian NPC drop into the arena and watch him catch up to you and start throwing projectiles, it is much, much, less likely to crash. Basically if you watch him come down and give him time to load in, it should work. Give it a shot until we can figure out exactly what is going on with him!
10.1 - We were so busy trying to find a tiny Cainhurst fix we forgot to include the Marty L. rework and crashfix! Now Martyr Logarius works and looks great. Fixed Chickage. Put back the old item icon light due to some really weird unexpected behavior. Now, it should be allllll gooooood.
-10.0 UPDATE ---------------------------
Well its finally here!! We are extremely proud to bring you the 10.0 update. It represents literal days of work. We started with fresh files and rebuilt the entire mod from the ground up, keeping as many textures and SFX files as crashes would allow. Our motto for the update was - "don't take without replacing," and we were able to follow that for mostly everything. It may not be the OG sfx you are used to, but there's something there. First off, we added fog! It is only the fog 1.0 edition, but still, it's fog. If your system can't handle it and it tanks the FPS or you just wanna check it out, we, of course, have a no-fog edition also. In addition, we were able to figure out a Cainhurst fix that involved simply changing a few bytes in one file so that all other drawparams remained untouched. All bosses were tested for crashes, reworked, or tweaked and... you get a fog door, you get a fog door, everybody gets a fog door! All maps and enemies were tested for crashes. Hell, we even tested the summonable helpers and fixed their crashes. All items, all magics, all armors, all shining coins, all... well, you get the picture. We finally are able to bring you the "drop in and play" painless experience we have been striving for. As always, any crashes post and let us know! Please update to the latest version of shadPS4 as well.

Extra bonus!
We know how much of a pain it is to have to switch to 30fps for Lawrence and Ludwig in the DLC because the cutscenes crash. Well, we now have an optional fix you can download if you don't care about the cutscenes that will allow you to just seamlessly play the bosses and their phases with the cutscenes automatically internally skipped. If you wanted Ludwig and Larry at 60, this is your chance.
As I said this update represents hours upon hours of work and our desire to give you, the players, a plug and play experience that you don't need to worry about. We hope you enjoy. And now, we are definitely, probably, maybe going to take a long break someplace warm where no one has any idea what a Saw Cleaver is and not jump right into the next update.

9.2 This update is small but fun! Just like my gf said! Uhh, wait, annnnnyway this update adds back Empty Phantasm Shell effects and completely fixes all the Moonlight Sword effects. No more crash on run/jump hit and the projectiles are back on the heavy swings!
9.1 Update - Guns fixed, sorry about that. That's what happens when you are excited about Fire Paper and are in a rush!! I hate even writing this next part cause it's admitting defeat but the Yarnham cathedral area crashes are not SFX. We have tried extensively to find them even going so far as to remove all SFX and yet they still happen. Just gonna have to wait for an EMU update or someone has to code a shader skip like the early days of Shad.
9.0 UPDATE - FIRE PAPER! We finally bring you our first version of fire paper! I know this one has been bugging us for a while, it was such a gaping hole in the SFX! We put back the OG lanterns due to popular request now that they work, we fixed the beasthunter saif and a few other things. More fixes to come, but for now, enjoy the fire paper! Ohhhhh, waves of heat coming off!! Sexy! For a first try we think it's pretty good! As always, post all crashes please!!

8.9 Update - returns to the old, brighter item icon and returns the candles to the world, making the game look beautiful as ever! This version should be the defacto standard for a time while we prep some more major steps forward and replace more fog doors! Thanks for always supporting us and as always, report all crashes! We know there are cathedral lantern guy crashes still but its not an SFX crash - we have searched extensively. Have to wait for an emu update on this one.
8.8 Update - Fixes lecture hall warp doors and rando crashes there. Also fixes other random crashes and some gun stuff. Should be pretty good for now! As always report crashes please!
8.5 Update fixes some old crashes that are back again in the new version of shad. Things like Father gascoigne, shooting, and some remaining weapon crash on hits.
****** We here at the Restoration mod team suggests strongly that you stick to the MAIN branch of the emulator. From what we have been told the light fixed branch is basically for testing a new fix for the lighting that may be implemented at some point but right now it breaks a lot of things. We will be making sure this mod works with the main branch, and not the light fixed branch as of right now because it is changing too fast and there are conflicts with the main branch of what works and what doesn't.
The 8.0 update is here! There were so many new weapon crash on hit bugs we decided to fix as many as possible and as a reward for all of you who stuck with us this update has ...... FOG DOORS!!! Yes! Fog Doors are back!! Enjoy!

7.5 Update - **(Get 7.6 with hotfix update) Well... less than 24 hours after we uploaded a mod with TONS of light fixes... well.. the emulator now does lights! Ha ha. We uploaded a fix putting back many of the lights so that you can use the OG ones! Still have a few tricks up our sleeves, though. *COUGH* fog doors *COUGH COUGH*

We added an optional file to add fog to Central Yarnham by the first lamp of the game. It is fun to check out but the response has been, to sum up, "looks good but probably wait for a better solution for the whole game." So, thanks for all your input! Maybe we will revisit it at some point!
