Pretty fun mod, makes melee a lot more fun to use on characters that don't melee a lot especially.
I am currently playing a melee-focused Zer0 and while I like the flavour of a corrosive attack, it's a bit troublesome due to corrosive dealing reduced damage against most enemies. So, from a gameplay perspective, such a "limited" element is troublesome on a character with a dedicated melee build. Shock, Explosive, Slag or Non-elemental would all be better fits, in my opinion.
I should add that I also significantly buffed the damage of the melee attack to be able to forego +melee dmg weapons(mainly cause I don't like their animations). As such, I use my basic more than other melee focused builds would(for which the corrosive attack could come in handy as an additional option besides their bayonette).
What's the easiest way to buff base melee damage? This is the single change I want in the game: 2,5x base melee damage so I don't have to use the Rapier.
Bayonets and character melee are completely different. The only workaround would be to make every bayonet the same for only one character at a time and it would be OP unless I rebalance the mod which I don't really wanna do.
Imma go ahead and ask how to open the mod. I've found several mods that are in a rar or 7z file that my rar and 7z openers wont open because its "corrupt" tho its not.
The uploaded file is just a .blcm/fake .txt, Nexus puts it in an archive itself so it should be the same as any other mod here, maybe just try redownloading it? Could also be a browser or firewall issue, but idk.
I love this mod. It's well balanced and the fact I can do the melee as set by you while melee skills are recharging is nice. (it's also in keeping with the game; there are several times you need to melee to accomplish a goal and melee skill instances tend to not count...)
I really enjoy this mod and wonder; is it possible to scale damage so that melee is still useful endgame? OP0 enemies at 80 are pretty much immune to melee damage with most builds.
There's an overhaul mod for Gaige that changes her With Claws skill to do shock damage, which is partially why I went against changing her melee to shock. Edit: I looked over that mod I was talking about and noticed it didn't add a DoT, so I went ahead and added that to this mod, since it wouldn't just be a copy paste.
Well, you're doing more than just giving that one gaige melee skill shock damage, so you might as well do it here and make that other mod there obsolete. Or not actually, there is bound to have people who just want that one specific change, and look at your mod like it was fricking NERO CD Burner, so that other small mod will never really be obsolete!
I agree with Zer0's digi-blade doing Shock damage, and modifying Gaige's "With Claws" skill to do so too. Maybe put Corrosive damage on Krieg's melee as well?
There's already a mod that makes With Claws do shock so I didn't want to just copy paste that. Krieg already has a skill that gives fire damage on his melee and the fire breath skill, which is "kind of" why I didn't give him anything, Maya has similar skills too, but eh. As for Zer0's melee, no one else has a corrosive melee, and I felt like it suited him as a character, more than it fitting the weapon, "poison" for the assassin.

It would imbalance roid shields though.

Closest thing is Backdraft for Maya, but that's a skill of course.
