99% of all crashes and seriously game-breaking and super weird behavior is caused by an improper hex edit. Double and triple check you did it EXACTLY as shown. If certain options are not appearing in your hex edit, it's NOT AN ISSUE WITH THIS MOD. The only solution I have is to get somebody to give you a properly edited Borderlands2.exe

Do NOT use your controller UNTIL AFTER you execute the mod and load into the game and start playing. You are free to play with a controller after this point. Interestingly if you go back to the main menu and push buttons on your controller it will no longer crash.
Also I would like to clarify a couple of things that might be confusing about the mod: -Team bonuses apply to everybody in the team, including the originator. There is a me in team. -Global damage refers to basically all damage, gun/elemental/status/melee/grenade/launcher, but not critical damage. Unless specified, it does not apply to pets. -Deathtrap benefits from "Team Melee Damage". Relevant for the Roboteer class mod. -Originally all team bonuses are supposed to work on pets, but the game absolutely hated that and fought me every time I tried. If some team stats work on the turret or Deathtrap treat it as a happy surprise.
So, I just came back to playing BL2 and saw this mod, got interested and... It wasn't working cause of the hexedit, same thing some people have stated, unable to cap the dlc level stuff or anything below the misc/sanity checks, tried a couple of things like getting older versions, nothing worked so I gave up... Uninstalled the game and erased anything of the hex multitool (could also be what fixed since I erased everything from the folder in /AppData/Local/BorderlandsHexMultitool)... but something came to mind, I don't know if this was a coincidence but, I reinstalled the game, this time before hexing it I opened the game and simply loaded the first save that I had(the other time I tried hexing as soon as I downloaded the game), then closed the game again and the hex multitool was working properly this time. Again, I'm not sure if it was just luck but it did work, so since I wasn't the only one with this problem thought I should share it, either way love the mod and gl!
DemoMan Class Mod on Axton feels a bit underpowered. I see myself going for other classmods more if I want to go a rocket launcher build, unless I am misinterpreting what DemoMan is intended for. I would personally remove some of the DMG resistance to buff the rocket damage, or regen or skills buffed.
I just wanted to leave some feedback, after having played Maya for a few hours. I am pretty disappointed right now because SMGs feel incredibly underpowered compared to everything else. I'm rocking a blue Dahl SMG, on level, with 5 points in Accelerate, 3 points in Foresight and a Foxy Grandma class mod and it still takes a full mag or more to kill a single bandit. It honestly feels like SMGs swapped places with ARs compared to vanilla BL2 as being the worst non-unique/legendary guns. Everything else feels fine, ARs, snipers, shotguns and pistols all do good damage, but SMGs are so meh.
All of them, actually. I'm finding the same to be true with ARs (except rocket shooting ones), after playing with this mod for longer. I always found it kinda weird that ARs and SMGs are completely outclassed by pistols. I love Vladof ARs, but they do so little damage they're not worth using over a pistol, shotgun or sniper rifle.
After having played through the main campaign, all of BL2's DLC'S and roughly 15% of all side quests - I must say this is the best overhaul mod for BL2 that I know of. Truly very well done!
There are 3 things I find odd and hoped I could give some feedback on: - Explosive damage of enemies seems very high. Maybe this has just been my experience, but I frequently get two shot by enemies using explosive weapons. Strangely it seems the more shield I have, the more dangerous they are? I could be wrong here. - Some enemies seem too tanky. The worst example I have found so far is, I think, the "Super Badass Varkids" (the ones that bury so often) due to the fact of their extreme health/defense values and their burying every few seconds. Whenever they do go underground, they remove all status effects/DoT's from themselves. Maybe they bury too frequently or removing effects when they do shouldn't be a thing? Not sure. - The downside of Anarchy stacks from Gaige seems too debilitating. Even just 100 stacks made me a glass cannon. In my (granted little) testing Anarchy did not seem viable.
To emphasize once more. I tried all the big overhaul mods for BL2 in the past and this one is, by quite a margin, the best!
I have known about the problems with SBA varkid burrowing frequency, the very many mechanics that counter status, and enemy explosive weapon (and Maliwan) damage for a long time. Unfortunately these things are complex and have been defeating me trying to figure them out and implementing good solutions. Hopefully one day I get lucky, but in the meantime I can do things like the recent SBA varkid hp nerf that may mitigate some of the frustration.
Gaige anarchy builds may be just preference and playstyle based. I did play her with 200+ stacks and it felt fine, I mean you are squishy but you also obliterate. I also believe there is enough you can do to help offset the malus between Deathtrap, her skills, and itemization. Of course there probably is always more to be done, I find that every time I play I find things I want to adjust or add support for.
I love the idea of this mod, as it seems like one of the best overhaul mods yet, but it's virtually unplayable unless you are an absolute master of borderlands that can neo around everything. I followed the instructions exactly, so I doubt it's a bug, but the first few bullymongs of the run are level 50 and kill you in 2 hits. The weapon that Clappy gives you is also level 50 so its unusable. the assault rifle only does 3 damage to the hundreds of health the first bullymongs have. I genuinely don't know how anyone but a master can play this mod.
The hex edit is the true hardest boss. It seems to give many trouble. In case you were wondering, no this is not intentional and there is a specific line in the hex edit process that addresses this. If you do not see all the options displayed, it is technically a bug but is not my bug.
Ah, gotcha. Apologies for being accusatory- I'll definitely try to figure this out because I really want to play this mod as intended. It looks so fricken cool.
Very few specific pearls have dedicated sources. Even for those the odds are not that great.
There are a lot of sources, offering various rates, but will be any pearl and not specific ones. There are two sources in particular that are quite good but nothing near the levels of old loot midgets or Uranus or anything like that. I would say just in general that your best bet is boss farming if you are on a mission to get some of these coveted items. And I don't solely mean raid bosses.
Biggest would be more COM overhauls, I'm not fully satisfied with how many of them work currently but it takes a deceptively large amount of time to do. And at some point I'll stop being lazy and write some documentation.
Not too much else, honestly. Like just balance stuff. I quite love how a lot of the mod feels, after so much iteration and utilizing many suggestions and ideas presented by the community. Especially the combat.
On multiplayer, the mission progress isn't saving for the non-host. So if we do a mission with me as the host, we would have to do it again if my friend was the host. Any ideas on what's wrong?
I have followed every step, got up to ''exec plasma.txt'' on console, but when I select the UVHM save file and hit play, it messages a fatal error and force closes.
I have not yet beat the game and the hexedit tool did not have the op lvl selection section, could this be the reason?
I've seen others struggle with this, with missing options in the hex edit tool. Sadly I have no idea what causes the issue. Supposedly if you get somebody else to give you a correctly modified Borderlands2.exe as specified by this mod, it would work fine for you.

*Fixed now*
