Later answer but, as I know you can't edit free edit guns skins, it can break balancer mechanic and it will make your gun invisible in inventory, but as I know you know bypass it with some re-balance mods - https://github.com/BLCM/bl3mods/wiki
Hey peeps, thanks for this version of the editor. For whatever reason the other Darkhell one was corrupting the save files and wouldn't load gun barrels, but this one works without problems.
A question though, how do I change the Vault Hunter's room on the ship to their own?
I use Amara but her room on the ship is Moze's. If I edit the Crew Quarters in the RAW tab (change "Gunner" to "Siren"), the next time I load the game the room is correctly Amara's, but if I shutdown and play again the room is Moze's again. Is there another field I need to edit to tell the game I'm using Amara, not Moze?
probably no way, never heard about smth like this, you can try create a new save file and transfer mission data from old save to new one (there was a save editor with a lot .exe files inside and there was an option to transfer only mission data but I forgot how it called :c ) and check, maybe it will fix your problem, I dont think editing your existed savefile will fix this problem
Hi, thanks for this editor. I'am a little bit late with playing BL3, already used on BL2 a save editor, so I'm familiar with it.
Question, is there a possibility to adapt for items the Mayhem level and how? Another thing, head skins, character skins and echo themes of latest DLC are missing. Is it possible to add them? Edit a file?
idk, no way, I tested all existed save editors, no one gives full skins, and they are corrupting savefile if you are trying to unlock skins with more than 1 save editor, 10iq devs probably forgot to "unlock" this skins also like fix a lot of bugs, so
TheSolenOne's BL3 Save Editor will automatically detect your BL3 game savefiles, into a saved-games list on the top right. You can select one of those savefiles (your latest savefile will be automatically selected and loaded into the editor), and mod it and save it (there's a Save button next to that saved-games list). I don't think you need to specify any folder for the savefiles.
Not sure if both these tools (TheSolenOne's editor and FromDarkHell's editor) are forks from a common (Gibbed?) save editor, because that would explain their similarity in appearance and some functions.
At a cursory glance to compare these 2 tools..
0. First and foremost, the Lootlemon integration in TheSolenOne's editor is just awesome. I don't think I have seen that functionality in any Borderlands save editor so far. It works really well, and the filtering option is icing on the cake.
1. FromDarkHell's save editor doesn't seem to explain the anointments like TheSolenOne's does. Excellent job by TheSolenOne, those anointment descriptions and their moddability are perfect, thanks! 2. But the Inventory tab is more simplistic and yet more functional on the FromDarkHell editor. That's because while TheSolenOne's editor would suffice if the character savefile had around 50 or lesser items, but if the player is playing a modded playthrough and (like me) has hundreds of items in bank and backpack (there are mods on Github to make these inventories almost limitless), then scrolling through the backpack's inventory list on the TheSolenOne editor would be a pain, because it shows the attributes for each item in the item record label itself. On the other hand, FromDarkHell's editor has the item names as a simple list, so it is easy to scroll through and select the exact item we need to look at or mod further, even if the list has hundreds of entries/items. 3. FromDarkHell's editor is intuitive, at least in terms of the Inventory tab (which, let's face it, is the where we tend to do most of the modding for this game), because it has dedicated (intuitive) buttons like "New Item", "Paste Code" (from clipboard; assuming we copied the item's serial code from LootLemon site which has a convenient "Copy Code" button for every item description page in its vast database), "Sync Item", "Sync All Items". Meanwhile, TheSolenOne's Inventory tab has multiple buttons and textboxes for "serial" and "import serial", which aren't intuitive.
Suggestions to @TheSolenOne to make this wonderful save editor even better: * Remove the buttons Duplicate, Share and Delete which are currently visible for every item in the inventory list. They are common functions for currently selected item only, and should be available as a trio of buttons below or above the inventory listbox. * The Serial/code for currently selected item should also be shown above or below the listbox (now it's shown on other side of screen, just below the Import serial boxes, and it causes confusion for newbies trying to understand the tool). * Remove the displays of tags (Level, Manufacturer, Type, Rarity) for each item in the inventory list, which currently look like floating buttons on each inventory item. It is very exhaustive on the eyes to scroll through a list with many items with each item having its own floating tags and buttons. Instead, change the inventory listbox into a columnbox, and populate these tags/attributes for each item as data values in respective columns/fields (column headings: Level, Manufacturer, Type, Rarity), so it's easier to view all the items and their primary attributes , and it also becomes possible to sort by the columns/fields/tags. * The textbox for syncing the items to a specific level is unintuitively labeled as "All Levels", and for some weird reason, it is defaulted to 1 (level 1) instead of current char level. Please rename the textbox label to "Sync All Items to Level", and autopopulate the current character level as its default value. Even its tooltip is not helpful, so please change the tooltip to say "Synchronize all the Items to current character level or other specific level (Level must be between 1 and 72). It's also too close to the Import Serial button, and causes further confusion. I would suggest moving this "Sync All Items to Level" functionality to be above or below the Inventory Listbox. Please add also a "Sync Selected Item to current character level" functionality, so user can simply update a chosen item to current character level. * Please add options on Character tab/page, to update the character's Money, Eridium, Mayhem level, and to Unlock: Mayhem mode. FromDarkHell's editor has these options on Character Screen. You can then remove the Currency screen, as its contents would have been incorporated into the Character screen.
Thanks to TheSolenOne for all the hard work, and kudos! It's also great that you made this BL3 Save Editor, into a single portable exe - so it can be backed up to a USB drive or online cloud, without any fuss! It even works directly when double-clicking from inside its zip file - perfect!
I LOVE this mod. Great piece of work, don't really care for the guardian bug, thumbs up all around. But just a heads-up guy's, careful when modding your weapons/shields/character mods. It affects the all-out appearance of each item and how it performs, especially on the weapons. Still, great work.
