asking because i'm actually desperate: is there any chance this mod could be updated to fix the car/motorcycle/skateboard sounds? i tried looking myself to see if i could replace/unpack the .SEA files because it's like nails on a chalkboard for me any time i approach a road in the game, but i had no success opening them. this mod actually does a fairly good job of rebalancing most of the ambient sounds, but i actually avoid going into town or leaving school grounds because the car sounds are so godawful. if i knew i could delete them without it crashing the game, i would :( i don't even care if they're replaced with "better" sounds, i'd take literal silence over what i hear now lol.
great mod, I see some people saying it makes the ambient sounds janky, but I can't really tell if it's the mod or just the game's general jank. I am hoping for the random whipping sounds and the ear grating footstep sounds will get ironed out once sfx modding is figured out. But all in all, I think this mod does pretty good.
works great, only issue is some ambient sounds wont play like the night time/daytime sounds around Bullworth academy,Bullworth town and some other parts of the map aswell.
Are there any other issues you noticed? Also does this mod fix the horribly compressed voices in some cases like how Algie grunts or the famous carnival date bass boosted sounds?
Nice improvement, by the way. Do you ever planning to fix the repeating Peds' Dialogue/Quotes (While Roaming around Academy, Conversating (which led Positive Gossip/Conversation is semi-unused), their Fighting Quotes and more?
Hi and thanks for the feedback. What you described is not the part of the game that the mod replaces, that is the sound files. I have no idea what is responsible for playing character phrases, but I will try to find out, and hopefully it can be edited. If you have any new suggestions, please write.
Unfortunately at the moment it's not possible to modify SFX for Bully, which have a different file extension, so no. But I'm sure it will be possible at some point, because for 16 years it was also considered impossible to edit all other game sound files too.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Yes, I know about these two problems. So I will release the mod update when I have free time and I will figure out how to fix these bugs. Let my know if you find any more bugs.
upd: Returned these two soundtracks to SE state in the last update.
Yeah, I know. I tried porting these two tracks from the PS2, halving the hertz count and packaging them into the PC version. Now the tunes played at normal speed, but the sound was a bit worse than in the PC version. So I decided to leave them and not touch them. If you have an idea how to fix it — feel free to write.
Out of curiosity, have you or anyone else figured out why some music fail to loop properly? Specifically like the Biology class, Photography and a few other BGMs.
I usually see this behaviour, if a game (generally old games) played a BGM far too long, so it'll stop playing the BGM after like 10 minutes as a means of proper memory management, but it is not the case for this game.
Hi. No, I don't know what the problem is, I think the root of the error is in the game code, because as you said, this error doesn't affect all sounds. If I find out something about it, I'll try to fix it.
i swapped the audio files in the bully steam files and when i started the game up it craseh immediatllydo you have any ideas on how i can get it to work without crashing
Hello. I am sorry to hear that you are encountering this bug. Unfortunately, I have no idea what could have caused this issue. What other mods are you using for the game?
