DLC REQUIREMENTS 5.2L VooDoo engine requires Ford DLC as it's a Coyote variant 5.0L Coyote 4x4 variant also requires Ford DLC Coyote V4 of course also requires Ford DLC Miami engine is a Coyote variant, so also requires Ford DLC. The reworked Range Rover I4 obviously requires the Land Rover DLC I believe that's it for now
0.8.0 PUBLIC TEST VERSION NOW AVAILABLE IN OPTIONAL FILES after public test this will become the current main version
WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW VERSION DELETE ALL OLD FILES FIRST
If you have other mods that require Aftermarket, then you'll have to reinstall them after installing the new version.
VERSION 0.8.0 Known issues with 0.8.0, do not report these - suspension messed up in Photo Locations - one of the F1 longtail configs still uses vanilla V12 engine - gearbox bolts on the V12 engine - F1 intake on some configs is independent of the other parts - floating bolts on the V6 FWD engine and exhaust issues on the FTO - one of the GTD exhaust rears isn't set up properly and can crash the mod New Content Note: workshop mod cars are found in ... added full exhaust for the Defender
added EU-style license plate type, that's available for configs to use: navigate to the modders resources folder, and copy the folder LicensePlates into ... Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_Data\StreamingAssets\the provided blank texture is just a base for creating actual plates for the different countries, I will not be doing this myself. Also new plate textures can be uploaded to the Steam Workshop. Regular US-style plate textures can also be selected but they will be misshapen.when editing a car config, you can select "EU style" license plate when choosing license plates
enlarged pushrod colliders so that they are a lot easier to click on

fixed bug with I5 AWD engine not being drivable
fixed bug with rear lower control arm for air suspension

various other small bugfixes
VERSION 0.7.9.4 FIXES: - fixed slowdown with very large inventories (QoL mod related) - fixed bug where car names don't show on car body parts - fixed various bugs with the adjustable suspension - fixed bug with exhaust manifolds on the vanilla 440 engines (Magnum and SixPack)
- some small fixes to the 2.3L Ecoboost engine - some small fixes to my 2017 Mustang configs - some adjustments to the rear solid axle, also added version 2 that is used on a couple cars - added Rear Twist Beam suspension, this is a kind of simple low-cost suspension that some of the low end cars use, included configs for Rino Piccolo, Emden Jager, Sakura Yaro, those cars use this suspension IRL. Just some extra variety for repair orders. - added special rear suspension for the Aston Martin DB5
- for LIT's Audi Quattro and RS2: added AWD version of the I5 engine, including downpipe, as well as matching front side suspension type. Included are the adjusted configs for both cars. - for Deadbob's Foxbody and SN95 Mustangs I have added the Ford 5.0 HO EFI engine, as well as a Procharged version, included are configs as well. Mod cars can be found in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1190000 Foxbody: 3012660132 SN95: 2846132681 Quattro: 2986576877 RS2: 2682259572
VERSION 0.7.9.3 FIXES: - fixed the bug that causes some parts to disappear from shop after being installed on car - fixed the bug that messes up adjustable suspension on cars just pulled from Parking - fixed struts/springs sticking out of hoods of modded car configs that are pre-dropped - fixed various issues with my 2017 Mustang configs --- made separate exhaust assembly for the GT and GTSR so that other vanilla / DLC cars that use the original exhaust don't get messed up - re-added the parts from mrscsi that were omitted by mistake from first release - added drop springs for rear solid axle
KNOWN BUGS: (do not report these) if marked FIXED it means the latest file has the bug fixed: - I5 AWD engine has 0 idle torque, to fix: --- open ... Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\Mods\TKAftermarket\content\tk_engine_r5\engines\engine_r5_4x4.txt --- change the idleRpmTorque value to 200 - a couple front 4x4 suspensions are missing the dynamic driveshaft hook, to fix: --- go to ... TKAftermarket\content\tk_dynamic_suspension\parts --- make two copies of the file REPLACEwalNapedowy_11.txt, name one of the copies REPLACEwalNapedowy_10.txt and the other REPLACEwalNapedowy_12.txt - DO NOT PUT THE NEW RIMS IN CONFIGS or they'll crash the game. Only install them in the garage. No idea if this can be fixed. - if you swap suspension assemblies you may be unable to mount wheels until you save/load. Should be fixable but at least a week from now due to travels. - modded configs that make AWD/4x4 versions of cars that use a 4x4 front suspension of the type with differential with a non-4x4 engine will bug out since the front driveshaft needs a transfer case to connect to. This you can fix by editing the config in the editor to add the missing transfer case as a Part (just put it where it should be at the gearbox flange, then adjust the rear driveshaft to match it, the front driveshaft will align to it in-game). - tuned shocks may revert to vanilla when unmounted from car, this likely cannot be fixed. It was very hard to get tuned shocks to work at all.
Biggest changes: - EXPERIMENTAL adjustable suspension system; mount tuned springs to lower or raise the vehicle height. All suspension parts will realign to the new height (not like the vanilla height system that's terrible). This took a very long time to develop and is a very extensive modification so there are still bugs to polish. Currently there are 1.25" and 2.5" lowering springs and 2" lift springs (including leafs). After installing the springs you need to move the car from the lift for the suspension to update. The system doesn't work in Editor so everything will look like a mess there but parts auto-align in-game. The system also does NOT work on tracks as the cars are composed very differently there due to physics etc.
- It is now possible to replace vanilla and dlc car parts including bodies, and add new parts to vanilla and dlc cars (meaning it's posssible to add new body kits to vanilla/DLC cars) - It is now possible to add aftermarket rims - Assembly replacement capability - part and suspension assemblies can be set to be variants of each other so once you demount all parts you can change it to another assembly. E.g. rear drum brakes can be changed to rear disc brakes. EXAMPLE on the Ecoboost Mustang Config: MIDDLE MOUSE CLICK on the Air Intake Assembly and you get this screen
New engines: - I4 2.3L Ecoboost engine with intake assembly and intercooler assembly and tuned parts - this is an almost entirely new, very detailed engine; does NOT require Ford DLC though the Mustang config obviously does require it. - V8 5.0L Miami engine - a supercharged Coyote variant (requires Ford DLC) with intake assembly and tuned parts; since it's Coyote-based it should fit any car that fits the Coyote
New/changed parts/assemblies: - air intake for Coyote engine with tuned parts (fits remodeled 2017 Mustang) - factory closed box and open cone filter version; open intake is standard on the GT350 with the Voodoo engine - GT350 exhaust, variant of the 2017 Mustang exhaust with dual-tip mufflers. Only fits 2017 Mustang GT350 rear bumper - Recaro seats by Multiply, for 2017 Mustang but should fit other cars; standard on the GT350 - Several new rims by Multiply - front solid suspensions detailed like the rear solid suspensions - rear multi-link suspension heavily reworked and is much more detailed - Transfer cases as Parts that you can place in the Editor - now you can make any RWD config into AWD/4x4 by adding the transfer case to the back of the transmission and swapping the front suspension - no need to align the front driveshaft, the mod will do this automatically in the game! (in the editor it will look messed up)
New and reworked body parts: - 2017 Mustang --- reworked body, mainly engine bay, to be much more realistic; skid cover and fender liners now separate parts --- Ecoboost body kit (front bumper, front fenders, hood, trunk) --- GT350 body kit (front bumper, front fenders, hood, trunk, rear bumper) - UNFINISHED!!! - Salem Flamo --- reworked body parts with Salem/Flamo letters changed to FORD / Pinto - Salem 1500 --- changed rear gate letters from SALEM to FORD
New configs: - Salem Flamo / Ford Pinto: Ecoboost Restomod config with Ecoboost engine, GT350 exhaust, new cowl hood, my own fantasy design - 2017 Ford Mustang Ecoboost - Ecoboost engine plus Ecoboost body kit - 2017 Ford Mustang GT350 - now has own body kit - UNFINISHED!!! - 2017 Ford Mustang GTSR - this is a fantasy config with the V8 Miami engine
Today I have reuploaded the mod file 2-3 times due to fixing various small issues (mainly missing tuned parts from the shop). Sometimes I release quick small updates on the game's Discord server in 3rd party mods channel.
Hi firstly love the mods and everything you have done but I was wondering how I find the mustang configs. I can't seem to be able to get it to work any help would be appreciated.
Hi all, I don't really have the time to go through all posts but I have just uploaded 0.7.9.4 and it has some new stuff and fixes a bunch of bugs. Probably most of the reported bugs are fixed now.
Remember when installing 0.7.9.4 you have to delete 0.7.9.3 entirely.
I had to reset my pc and then downloaded melonloader and QoL but when I install TK Aftermarket and basic they wont show up in game. I have them in steamapps/common/car mechanic simulator 2021/mods. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance
You might be doing the same thing I was doing. Do you have the .dll files in the mods folder? I was only putting the TK basic/aftermarket folders in my mods folder and missed the .dll files.
there`s a bug with the brake shield 3 in the performance shop when you put the brake shield 3 on the car the part disappear`s and when you look at the suspension to see how much performance the brake`s give you brake shield 4 works but not brake shield 3 pls fix in next public update
this is not a bug am not reporting i just wanted to ask TK3R if there's a chance we could get a swaybar b for the front of the car and also rear swaybar cuz that could add more bhp to the car anyway thanks for the cool aftermarket parts

5.2L VooDoo engine requires Ford DLC as it's a Coyote variant
5.0L Coyote 4x4 variant also requires Ford DLC
Coyote V4 of course also requires Ford DLC
Miami engine is a Coyote variant, so also requires Ford DLC.
The reworked Range Rover I4 obviously requires the Land Rover DLC
I believe that's it for now
after public test this will become the current main version
