I have a question about the installation instructions
"2. Copy the Base folder (and the DLC folder if you have DLC) directly into your base directory. Approve all overwrites."
What does this mean, exactly? The mod has a "base" folder and Civ 6 has a "base" folder, and it also refers to the "base" directory (the C: drive?). When I copied the mod-base folder into the civ-base folder, nothing happened. I copied mod-base into civ-base and civ-dlc, nothing.
Do I copy mod-base into the "Sid Meir's Civilization VI" folder? That pops up an override screen. The readme says to approve all overrides but I think that would override the entire game's software for a 500kb mod, which seems wrong.  Where does the DLC folder come into that?
Do I move the civ-base and civ-dlc folders to the C: directory then copy mod-base into the civ folder, which then overrides the civ-base folder but can still reference it from the C: drive?

A bit more clarification on the readme would be very helpful. I want to know which folders go where in which order.

When I installed this, I could choose from no leaders.  They had all gone.

So I started a game anyway and was given Victoria.  But.... how long does it take to load?  You say "a long time", but.... I have a Ryzen 9 3900Xt and I waited 10 minutes and it was still loading.  Do I wait an hour?  A day?

Mind you, since the game only uses one CPU core, I have to wonder why I bought a fast CPU.  The other 23 cores are just sitting watching.
    1. I have the same problem. I think this has something to do with the copying of the files. I'm playing via Epic Games and I don't see 2 of the files included in this mod anywhere in the game directory. the GameData1.sql doesn't have a file anywhere nor does the Unrestricted Leaders.modinfo and I don't know where to put those files. do they go in the base directory? do they go in the mod folder that needs to be created in order to make mods work?
  3. I have this game on Epic Games. The second step "2. Copy the Base folder (and the DLC folder if you have DLC) directly into your base directory. Approve all overwrites." isn't an option because the base directory for the game doesn't contain those files, and there is nothing to overwrite. I tracked down the PlayerSetupLogic.lua file and the SetupParameters.lua file and replaced though, however the GameData1.sql doesn't have a file anywhere nor does the Unrestricted Leaders.modinfo. I'm going to place the last two into the base directory and see what happens.

I may or may not come back to touch up this post, since it looks like the forum is dead, but please do reply if you have an answer, since I'll get a notification.

Hey, this works great for me, but it also makes Kupe unplayable.  Using him with any other civilization spawns you on a blank map with no units.  Is there a way you can adjust his leader ability so it gives him sailing and shipbuilding and gives him the ability to enter oceans?  Or is he just impossible to use with this mod?
