Yes, I'm also on GamePass and this is the confirmed install location. Someone else commented here too, if you want to use/create a "~mods" folder within Paks, example:
As long you disable stream input for controllers and turned off DS4/5Windows, you should always have PS Icons using a PS controller. This mod is great if you like using steam's and DS4/5 for customizing the colors of your PS4/5 lights.
I can confirm (at least for Game Pass version) that DualSense (PS5) controller is now detected natively by the game as of today's patch and I no longer need this mod (or DS4Windows) to force the icons.
Thanks to the mod author for providing this mod early on so I didn't have to wait for this patch to play!
Only seems to be working partially post-patch. For example, the main menu and in game menus don't work fluidly anymore. Combat is fine, but you have to switch between controller and m&k for other items. Using DS4 + DS4Windows + this mod.
Bonjour, le mod fonctionnait très bien avec ma manette PS5 avant le patch. Depuis, il ne fonctionne plus du tout. Enfin, si, mais certains boutons ne répondent plus et il y a aussi quelques bugs mineurs. J'ai essayé avec deux manettes PS5 différentes.
This does not work for me on Gamepass. I am using a DS4 + DS4Windows + this mod. Worked fine pre-patch. Now the controller does not work in the main menu or any in-game menu. World navigation and combat work fine. I have to alternate between kb+m and DS4 to play the game which is not ideal.
This game has terrible dualsense native support. It works fine but vibrations & haptic feedback suck. Using DSX and emulating 360 gives u way better haptics but you get xbox prompts this mod blesses us.

drop the files into
...\Clair Obscur- Expedition 33\Content\Sandfall\Content\Paks
C:\XboxGames\Clair Obscur- Expedition 33\Content\Sandfall\Content\Paks\~mods
Just add "_P" to the end of the file name:
Force_PS5_Buttons_P.pak
Force_PS5_Buttons_P.ucas
Force_PS5_Buttons_P.utoc
...and the mods will work/be recognized by UE5 and load.
