This configuration file was created based on my own experience optimizing for a system with a GTX 970, Ryzen 5 2600, and 16GB RAM.
Since other available mods didn’t fully meet my performance expectations, I put together this custom config focused on maximum FPS gains.

- Used a
.pakfile in the~modsfolder. - Less reliable for applying
.initweaks via Unreal Engine’s modding system.
- Directly replaces the
GameUserSettings.iniin%localappdata%. - Provides greater reliability — game always applies your settings.
- Uses the standard UE5 engine mechanism for overriding user settings.
Installation Instructions
- Download the archive and choose your preferred version (Balanced or UltraLow).
- Make a backup of your original
GameUserSettings.inilocated at:shell%localappdata%\Sandfall\Saved\Config\Windows\ - Replace the original file with the provided one.
- Right-click on the new file ➔ Properties ➔ Set Read-Only ➔ Apply.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Do not use other mods that modify
GameUserSettings.ini. - Only one optimization file should be active at a time.
- Do not change graphic settings from the in-game menu — this can overwrite the optimized file.
