Hi! Thanks for asking. Let's look at your laptop specs compared to the system I tested on (Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 970 4GB, 16GB RAM).Your Ryzen 5 5600H CPU is actually quite good, likely faster than my desktop CPU. However, the main challenge is the AMD Radeon Vega 7 integrated graphics (iGPU). It is significantly weaker than my dedicated GTX 970, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks like a very demanding Unreal Engine 5 game. Also, your 8GB of RAM is quite low for modern games and is shared with the iGPU, which limits performance further. So, will it run? It's highly unlikely to run smoothly. The Vega 7 is well below the expected minimum requirements for such a game. However, the optimization mod (specifically the "Optimal" profile) is absolutely essential to even try. It drastically reduces the load on the graphics. If you use the "Optimal" profile and follow the installation instructions carefully (backup, editing resolution, setting Read-Only):
You might be able to launch the game.
Expect very low visual quality (blurry image due to 50% resolution scale).
Aim for maybe 20-30 FPS at best, with potential stutters and drops, especially with only 8GB of RAM. It might still feel unplayable.
My strong recommendations:
Use the "Optimal" profile from the mod archive.
Upgrade your RAM to 16GB (ideally 2x8GB sticks for dual-channel). This will give your system, especially the integrated graphics, a noticeable boost.
Keep your laptop plugged in and on the High Performance power plan.
Close all background applications when playing.
In summary: The optimization mod gives your laptop its only chance, but due to the Vega 7 graphics, it will be a struggle. The RAM upgrade would definitely help.
Yes, the game will automatically create the GameUserSettings.ini file if you don't have it. Just launch the game and then close it — the file will be generated at the correct location. After that, follow the instructions and replace the newly created file with the one from the mod.
Excellent, the other presets uploaded helped, but not very much. (a few fps at most, if not a placebo) While this one is the difference between playing at decent graphic settings on a 4GB RX 570 while using OptiScaler to spoof DLSS with FSR2/3. Went from barely holding 30 fps at 720p on low settings to 50+ fps at 900p. 40+ fps at 1080p. Went from debating a refund to more than playable.

Other than very extreme money issues (I've been there, so save the "blabla rich" blurb), I see no reason to not save money for a rig upgrade.
Still, good to see some configs to help those who CAN'T upgrade their rigs.

You lose some effects but it is the price to pay
Thank you for this, it nows runs smoothly, I am really grateful for you to provide this.
Perhaps we can also use this config for the oblivion remaster?
