It's only worth for lowend and mid graphic cards.
For RX 7900 XT it's useless but with optiscaler I get even on the 7900 XT like 60 fps boost on max graphic in 4k.

I am experiencing freezes on cutscenes with Optiscaler FG enabled, this is in combination with the 30 fps cap removed from cutscenes using this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/clairobscurexpedition33/mods/24. When FG is disabled, everything runs fine. Running a 5080 with 9800X3D.

I have OptiFG working witth RenoDX but sadly HUD Fix crashes thee game so you get a lot of ghosting from the UI.

I settled with Lossless Scaling x2 mode and RenoDX for this game. Close to no artefacts and no HUD ghosting at all.

    RTX 3090 and with DLSS4-B / K-Present.

      Hi,

I just bought Lossless Scaling, it introduces input lag right? Nice frames but I can feel the lag :( Any workaround for this?

I also had crashes with HUD Fix turned on, especially during fights. Disabling the option solved the issue but indeed creates huge ghosting.
      I don't use RenoDX.
      Using RTX 4070.

I just re-enabled HUD Fix (Limit 1) and enabled "Always Track Heaps" in Advanced OptiFG Settings > Tracking Settings.
No more crash for now, it was crashing 100% during fights before.

I will keep you updated if I get anymore crashes.

can you describe how you set up Lossless Scaling?
      Nothing happens with it.

With optiscaler i get a massive fps boost but with Lossless Scaling nothing

I must be doing something wrong. When enabling FG Extended, it feels choppy like 30fps but if I disable it the UI in battles is so laggy and unresponsive it's unplayable. Is there a way to make the combat UI smoother?

    RX 7900 XT - 4k resolution
Optiscaler is the only frame generator where I am getting up to 70-80 fps.
Without it I am at 28 fps.

I am running Optiscaler and Reshade almost without a problem.

Somone wrote to disable Anti-Lag in Adrenalin. It helped to remove the Screen tearing.
But there are still shadows / black silhouettes moving later then models.

Do you know how fix the later moving silhouettes?

FG HUD Fix Limit 1 = no screen tearing buth with later moving black silhouettes of objects
FG HUD Fix Limit 3 = no black silhouettes of objects but with screen tearing

Is it possible to get something between it?

Hi there! Is there a way to turn off frame generation in cutscenes? I'm getting really bad ghosting around the characters. Also, when I add other mods, I start seeing these weird red shadow artifacts that totally mess up the visuals.

I have an RTX 5070 Ti. By placing only the 4 files you mentioned, Frame Generation works correctly. I only see some artifacts along a vertical line at the left edge of the screen, which might be acceptable if it weren’t for the fact that when I rotate the camera, there are "bursts" of small lights on the left side that extend across part of the screen. They’re very intense, meaning they have a very high brightness, and I’m concerned about my OLED. Any advice?
    Thanks.

on an oled myself, personally i play with this FG + rtx hdr + rtx dv and dont see such light bursts

pretty sure i didnt have em before turning on hdr and dv either though, but probably worth a shot cuz rtx hdr is a post process that might level those out

Do you mean RTX HDR from the Nvidia app for Expedition 33?
I'm also playing in HDR, but I recently disabled RTX HDR. I'm almost certain I had those artifacts even with that option enabled, though. If needed, I can try recording a video using display capture (or with my phone if it doesn’t show up on capture, which I think is likely).
Right now, I'm using Lossless Scaling and it's working perfectly, not a single artifact, no async issues or light bursts. I actually discovered this program through this post and was surprised by how well it works, so I don’t really need a fix anymore. But maybe this conversation can help someone else who runs into the same problem. Thanks!

Do we need to select a different file name for optiscalor to ensure compatibility with RenoDx ? Since it also uses a file named dxgi.dll ?

I don't use Reshade myself, but you can find the instruction for reshade in optiscaler github.

Oh, please reply back if you find a fix for compatibility. I'll need to stay with Xess2.1 over fsr3.1 until reshade works together.
I use No-HUD-No-Effects and I can't go back to not having those effects removed.
I attempted doing a few fixes, the amount of reshade i use here, does not reshade the game with one of those presets and the fix i tried, I can't do. It says rename reshade.dll to reshade64.dll then opti ini switch it to true for loadreshade. But problem is I dont have a reshade dll file. Also tried doing a dxgi-original dll file and opti didn't find it. Tried creating a plugins folder and putting the DLSS file + all files into there, and like dxgi duplicated into the plugins folder. Nothing's working. Maybe I'll need to check a reshade preset to go back to see if I can rename reshade dll file or something.

Try renaming ReShade's dxgi.dll to ReShade64.dll, and then enable the ReShade option in the Optiscaler .ini file.

Oh ok I got it to work, have not tried OP's method exactly because I don't have a reshade dll file. The mod No hud no effects is similar to RenoDx i think. All you need to do is for the dxgi.dll file, rename it to winmm.dll , make sure to have another dxgi copy for later. With it renamed to winmm, trigger the bat file that comes with optiscaler, when it asks to select 1-8, use 2, it should be exactly the name winmm.dll - This worked for me, I was able to turn off all the effects I find cluttering the screen, while still allowing pressing insert to change to fsr after graphics setting moving to dlss and then I can open reshade with home. Make sure to paste in the dxgi.dll back into the directory folder where all this is being completed after the bat file does it's thing. It could theoritcially just be copied and pasted there already. So you'd have both dxgi.dll(reshade) and winmm.dll(fsr)

This allows reshade to work with optiscaler, however the game is really really stuttery with both reshade (using RenoDX HDR) and optiscaler FG on. If I disable reshade then the FG makes it buttery smooth. But not with reshade at the same time.

EDIT: found a fix. I disabled FG Hud Fix and now the two seem to work together. However now the HUD ghosts a lot.

Turning on Hud Fix fixes the ghosting, but then I'm back to stuttering.

      Any ideas?

Im running both, i just make sure I have my settings set in optiscaler before putting in my reshade dxgi.dll. Then i just play the game and do not open the optiscaler menu, if i do it ghosts and I have to reset the game to fix. Thats my solution to the problem. HDR reshade is running and optiscaler FG. game looks great and runs great!

@onenowy It works except when I tick the case FG extended, seems to freeze the game with Reshade.

This may help :: In the Reshade menu, click on Add-ons change Aspect ratio heuristic to "Match resolution exactly"
