About this mod
This basically modifies the mod Contra X Beta for C&C Zero Hour, especially the challenge maps.

- All General Challenge maps are completely modified. I remove most of the decorations for better performance while also adding more defense and Super Units as defense.
- The starting opponent of every general is now unique.
- Super weapon and super unit restrictions are removed in GC hard mode, choose hard mode when playing GC.
- All Super Units have been modified by the time to build, their cost and movement speed (Either reduced or increased for balancing).
- Infantry General now has infantry in his vehicles when trained but the cost is increased to compensate.
- Wyvern now has unlimited ammo and will never return to levitating pad but reduced the health and stealth was removed.
- Adds Oil Derricks near you and now it gives a lot of money in initial capture and during deposits, it may be imbalance but trust me, money is not an issue here. It would still take you about -2hrs or more per map (depending on your game speed), with 16 GC maps that would be -32hrs or more per general.
- Radar Tech Building seems to be missing in some GC maps, so I added Radar Tech Building to every GC maps.
- Added 1 more challenge for GC in the second to the last where you battle against your own general in total of 16 maps.
- All shroud clearing range of units and building are increased for better view.
- Changed the time of detonation of the Apocalypse Device of China Nuke General to 10s just for fun.
- Increase the health and damage of most of the units, I don't remember every unit I changed.
- Modifies all unit's time to build and cost for more fun gameplay.
- Move all Command Centers or starting building of every general near the corner for more building space.
- Enemies are aggressive, you can be easily overrun (even after having a lot of money) in early, mid, and even endgame.
Installation Guide:
- Follow the installation guide of the C&C Contra X Beta mod here: Contra X BETA Setup (Latest) file - ModDB
- As I remember, the Contra X Beta Launcher will update the first time you open it.
- Make sure the mod works first by trying to play any GC maps or skirmish.
- If everything works fine, then just extract this file to your C&C folder, where the Contra X Beta Launcher is located. It would prompt to replace 3 files just accept it.
- If you experience low fps, stuttering, crashing etc. just reduce graphic settings inside the Contra X Beta Launcher. I don't think it would be much of a problem since it works smooth for me on a laptop i5 11400H RTX 3060 mobile.
Online PVP Notes:
- This will not work online unless you both have the same mod installed. (Not sure, I haven't tried)
- If you plan to play online or with friends, just follows Contra X Beta Guide for online gameplay.
- It may be so unbalance during PVP because as I said I haven't tried it.
(Optional) If it seems too easy, too hard, or you just want to be creative, you can modify it with these methods:
- Contra Launcher should be closed.
- Use Final Big Editor file - ModDB to open the ctr files. For example, you want to modify !ContraXBeta_INI.ctr Open it using Final Big Editor, go to Edit > Extract all, then choose anywhere you want.
- I recommend using Notepad++ v8.6.9 or any version for editing the extracted files. The extracted files will become folder that named "Data" everything inside it can be opened and edited using Notepad++
- After editing the files, use the Final Big Editor file - ModDB again to replace the original files. Go to Edit > Add Directory, select Yes, then select the "Data" folder, if done correctly, it would prompt to overwrite the files, no need to check the "Use answer for all files" just click yes, it would be a lot of prompts so just hold the enter to yes to all. If all the prompts are gone, go to File > then Save.
(Optional) Editing Maps:
- If you want to edit the maps, you need to replace my !ContraXBeta_INI.ctr by the original file because the Contra X Beta World Builder wont launch.
- Extract !ContraXBeta_Maps after extracted, the folder will be named "Maps" copy it and place it to where the Contra X Beta Launcher is.
- Now launch Contra X Beta World Builder its inside the launcher, not the one in the directory.
- Click Open then it should show the GC maps then choose which map you want to edit.
- After editing, it should automatically be in the game, but I recommend putting it back to the !ContraXBeta_Maps.
- To put it back, use the Final Big Editor file - ModDB again to replace the original files. Go to Edit > Add Directory, select Yes, then select the "Maps" folder you placed in the directory, if done correctly, it would prompt to overwrite the files, no need to check the "Use answer for all files" just click yes, it would be a lot of prompts so just hold the enter to yes to all. If all the prompts are gone, go to File > then Save.
- If you're done editing, just copy my modded !ContraXBeta_INI.ctr then replace the original and you're done.
