Hey, sorry for the late reply, I need to check this page out a lot more tbh... As stated before, I don't really have the modding tools anymore, I modded this game like 15 years ago...
I could start looking for it and remove those, I will get back in touch once I had the time to do it. Hopefully soonish... Thanks for the compliments and advice my friend!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I translated your comment and I hope this helps: Since I just uploaded the whole folder it might have the settings somewhere and since I play on english it will change the language to english as well. If you want to use your selected language you probably should only copy the mod related files. But to be honest I forgot which files specifically that are because it's so long ago since I modded the game. : (
Hi, thank you. Glad that you like it. The German vehicles and Tanks are using the "Balkenkreuz", which is historically accurate. I could try to alter some skins, but to be completely honest, I haven't done modding on the Game for more than a decade. I could try to get the software and knowledge again, but it could take some time and I don't know if I am able to do so. I will at least try! P.S.: One of the random Panzer IV Skins has a flag on it's chassis, that has a swastika on it.
Hi, thanks for your answer!I've seen the Panzer IV and it looks great. That's exactly what I wanted with the Tiger 1. But anyway, I want to use the Panzergrenadier skins from the Panzerelite(SS) for the Wehrmacht. Maybe you can explain to me how to change skins, I've already downloaded Modstudio and tried it out a bit. Unfortunately, there is no tutorial on the internet either, so maybe you can explain to me how to do it?
@HouseBro Just put the swastikas of the Panzer Elite on the helmets of the Volksgrenadiers of the Wehrmacht and on the Panzergrenadiers of the Wehrmacht
Hi all, thanks for the positive feedback. Really appreciate it. As I mentioned, I don't have all the resources to mod the files anymore, which I know is kind of a bummer... Changed PCs during the last 12 years as well and forgot quite a lot over time... But let me try to remember what is needed to mod Skins and so on:
- You need a program to extract and pack the .sga archives. I think I used Modmanager in the past as well - You also need another program to convert .rgt files to .dds files - With an image editor program like photoshop edit the texture and icon files. Program may need an .dds plugin before use - You have to edit the RelicCOH.module and/or the Skins.module files with any text editor or VS Code to use the files you created/edited (optional if you dont' add new files to the mods)
Sorry, it is not the best tutorial, like I said, I forgot quite a lot in the past 12 years. I hope even if we can't get the mods further edited you will have fun with the collection regardless.
I thought so myself when I started modding, but once you start and learn the basics, it feels good when it finally works. Kind of sad I forgot most of it... : (
I am not playing Steam version of COH. This mod is not working when extracting files to folder Games/ Company of heroes. What to do? I did what you advised, but i got notice that try again by launching game from Steam. Is there any chance to non-Steam players?
Hi, that might get complicated... I just zipped my whole CoH folder (Steam Version), because I don't really know which files exactly are modified or added (I did the modding for the game a long time ago as stated in the description). To fix this problem for non-steam versions it seams you can't just extract everything into the game directory. It would be a massive undertaking to single out all the files seperately, that's why I took the easy way and just zipped the whole folder.
This files are definitely modified: ~/RelicCOH.module ~/Skins.module ~/WW2/Archives/Skins ~/WW2/Archives/WW2AxisSpeechenglish ~/WW2/Archives/OFCoreSpeechEnglish ~/WW2/Archives/OFFullSpeechEnglish ~/WW2/Archives/WW2Sound* (all of them)
I would suggest making a backup of your working CoH Folder and then replacing those files with the modded files from the Mod-Pack and see, if it is at least working. Maybe you can replace almost all the Files except for the .exe and .dll files, I think that might work for non-steam versions.
If I have some spare time I will try downloading a non-steam version and to try it out myself, but I can't really promise it will happen 'soonish'. I hope some of this Info will help.
Awesome mod, I just tested this out with cheatmod but I noticed when I did the skins weren't showing up, is there any way to play this mod with cheatmod and skins?
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I am very certain that back in the day I was able to use the mods contained in this pack together with the cheatmod (used it for testing if the skins were coming out all right and so on). So it actually is possible, sadly, like with most other questions I can't really tell what is necessary to do so it does work. Is the cheatmod still available online? If so I will download it again and test it, I might remember what has to be done to get it working.
You can open that file with notepad or any program akin to Visual Studio Code. Just tried it myself and it works like back in the day.
Edit: Editing the [data:common:01] block might also be possible for the Blitzkrieg Mod. I have to try it, I never actually played the Blitzkrieg mod. The important part is that the Skins.module file is included in the archive. Preferably at one of the first positions.
Hi, I honestly never tried using both Mods together but I doubt they would be compatible, because Blitzkrieg Mod, as far as I know, uses a lot of it's own created assets.

Great mod all in all. I just would like to remove the "sexy" part. Kills my immersion a lot :) How can I keep everything but the doctrines icons ?

Can you make German vehicles like the Tiger 1 have the swastika flag on the vehicle just for immersion

In the File CheatMod.module replace this block:
[data:common:01]
folder = CheatMod\Data
archive.01 = CheatMod\Archives\CheatModData
archive.02 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2Art
archive.03 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2Sound
archive.04 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2ArtAmbient
with this block:
[data:common:01]
folder = CheatMod\Data
archive.01 = WW2\Archives\Skins
archive.02 = CheatMod\Archives\CheatModData
archive.03 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2Art
archive.04 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2Sound
archive.05 = CheatMod\Archives\WW2ArtAmbient
