As of Coral Island update v1.1b-1232 mods are working again. I'm not currently playing CI so it's unlikely I'll notice any issue or update, if you find one you might reach me either by PM or in the CI modding discord managed Jelsyem.
Once I know of the issue I'll do my best to fix it at my earliest convenience.
Hi everyone, what I don't understand is that if all the mods are broken or the command (-fileopenlog) no longer works, I downloaded many mods from the site but none of them work, for now I'm waiting for the updates hoping they work
Help please! For some reason the hot fix update from today broke the mod 😞 all of my chests reverted to normal size so the ones that were full with the extra space are half gone. Well the chests aren't gone, the suff in them lol. Is there an easy fix for this, or does the mod need to be updated as well?
Seconding this - it broke all of my mods, actually, but I can cope without the others. This one, for the reason you've described, I'm unwilling to continue playing without since I'm worried that if I save in this state the second half of my chest contents will be permanently gone.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with that. As long as I have to assume that half of the contents of the boxes are missing, I can't continue playing. Therefore, please, if possible, adapt / update the mod.
Hi! Love this mod, it's a real joy to have in my playthrough! I just have one question: will the "much moar" version make a comeback? As much as I love having twice the amount of space, I still find myself running out of room in my chests. If there isn't a plan for the "much moar" version to return in any capacity, then I can just rearrange my chest organization setup, hahaha, but I'd really appreciate it if that option could be brought back into existence somehow! I can even help you test it if you would like. :D
I come to confirm that the Much MOAR version of this mod does not immediately cause one's PC to explode, this is only the most basic test though, of installing the mod and loading the game and then opening a chest. I cannot report any kind of lagging or crashing from filling the chest with lots of items and having the auto-sort on, as I was personally not planning on using this version of the mod, though for now I'm just going to keep it to see if I can even get a chest so full that it starts causing issues.
So, verdict: Mod does not cause any issues on a base level, computer does not explode with this mod installed. Further more extensive usage/testing may yield more explosive results, if I personally get this to happen then I'll come back and report.
EDIT: Slightly further testing, putting items into the chests with auto-sort on causes the game to chug for like half a second every time you put something in, particularly full chests also seem to cause chugging when being opened (the more items the worse the chugging). Have just had the game totally seize up on me (not even crash, just total freeze) that I had to terminate it through task manager, this might not be due to the much moar chests though, as I've had this happen one other time. I was trying to open a chest when this happened though which is why I am mentioning it. I think if this happens again with this version of the mod installed, then I'm going to stop with the testing because the game crashes enough by itself as it is, I don't want to have to keep redoing the day because of full client freezing as well 😂
A brave soul returns from the trenches and gives us valuable data through sacrifice. It falls to me to honor this by reducing/removing the increase of space in autochests (that just seems to be a disaster waiting to happen), I'll take this duty with due care.
That short lag spike is vanilla behaviour when crafting outside the farm even with only a dozen autosort chests of which only a single one having the resources for the crafting, thus i guess with more to sort through the spike will lengthen and a recommendation to not auto sort all the chests if using this mod might just be the easiest solution, but tbh the autosort in vanilla should just not do anything unless you open the chest and that should prevent the worst stuttering.
EDIT: Update, having a single autosorting resource chest with all others not autosort, basically fixes the issue, the only spikes i still get is from loading areas as i'm playing from hdd
I mean, I'd love to just have more upgrades to the backpack, the option stays in Sam's shopping menu after all, with one to two more rows I'd be able to not fast travel home all the time because i forgot a single resource i needed in a chest, but could have one partial stack each on me all the time and still do diving/caving. Thus i very much would love a bigger backpack too, if it's possible.
But if not still: Thanks for bigger chests, have to try them out.

is there any chance you might add more versions, like with 80 slots or even 100~120 slots per chest?
Gruss!
