This is really good, and feels on par with the N Sane Trilogy, which I think is super impressive! I had some potential bugs to report. I played the game once on vanilla and did some collecting, but then decided to install this mod and play through it again. I made a new save slot in game, but didn't delete my original save data. Maybe that's the cause for these?

After getting the Green Gem, I unlocked the triple spin. The achievement popped up since I didn't get it on the first playthrough if that helps. Didn't see any mention of this being unlocked early. I got the green gem in order of playing the game from the beginning.

After about ~30 gems and getting all the possible ones up til that point, I got the 100% clear gem "King of Bling" achievement

For some feedback, I'm not a fan of the Nitro box changing, where it no longer jumps. This happened in the classics, and I find it sometimes hard to tell it's a Nitro since they are stationary. I know there's already a lot of optional mods, but one here could be nice. Or even if it's TT only since that was the reason for the change.

Overall, a great job improving a really good game. I hope the developer can learn from this mod. Sitting there needing 2 guides open for the ridiculous amount of hidden crates in vanilla is simply not fun

The hyperspin was meant to be unlocked after Hit the Road, forgot to mention that in the mod description. Fixed it.

Gem achievements work like that because of how the game tracks collectibles. It counts every gem (including wumpa gems and the 3 deaths gem) and compares them to the new maximum count, which is 78, hence why you unlock them sooner.

As for the Nitros, if you're having trouble discerning them, I can recommend this mod that makes crates brighter:

Also in the level On the Rails the death route is missing for that final skull and crossbones medal.  I have tried everything to find it but completing the level without a death is not giving it.  I'm stuck at 38/39 because it is missing.  This needs to be corrected or at least pointed out where the missing medal is located.

Update:  You get this medal/relic for 100% On the Rails without dying.  Found this out by complete chance but it should have been mentioned before.

I do think this mod is good but it doesn't go far enough.  The triple spin with how the timing works is impossible for me to do consistently under any circumstances.  I think this mod needs to change it so you can simply just keep pressing the button to spin and it will build up and hold the triple spin boost.  I have checked and the timing to get it going is so precise it is stupid easy to mess it up and lose it.

      The WR is 19.3.

With N hanced you can easily get under 24 seconds.

OG ps1 Crash player here, and I would love another version without even the "cleverly hidden boxes". I'm so tired of finishing every single level missing one or two boxes (of course, vanilla is even worse).

I have 2 things to ask:

1: do you have any intention of eventually updating the Multicolor Gem Gate in Toxic Tunnels with the addition of the purple gem even though that sounds like a long shot

2: did you consider also bringing back the long forgotten orange gem from crash 1

The exclamation point box doesn't trigger the nitro boxes. Isn't that how it used to work?

Does the new release fix the bug that prevents the 104% ending from unlocking even when you've reached the completion requirements?

I recommend adding a version more similar to Warped where you need all the gold relics, for at least the second true ending - and I feel like flashback tapes should already be mandatory for the first (they're brand new levels with their own little mini stories, unlike the rest of the bonus content which is just mildly different ways to replay the same main campaign) If you agree about the gold relics then I would also recommend making sapphire mandatory for the first true end.

As it stands now the first one feels almost too easy to get by the standards of classic Crash games, even if that's admittedly kind of a high bar for your usual modern game... so it's almost like now there's the opposite problem to the vanilla version of CB4

I'll share a few of my thoughts.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't make specifically the gold relics required for completion. The endings are hardcoded to unlock when a percentage value is reached, and golds don't give any. (Unlike sapphires and platinums)

I don't think it's true that requiring only sapphires makes N.Hanced too easy by Crash game standards. Aside from almost every other Crash game requiring only sapphires for their second endings, there's the fact that Crash 4's levels are 1.5x - 2x as long on average, and significantly more difficult (especially after world 7), making some of Crash 4's sapphires about as hard as golds or platinums of other games.

I do understand that this change can look like an overcorrection after vanilla Crash 4, but after seeing the negative sentiment about platinums and n.sanely perfects being required for the endings, I didn't want to take the risk, even though I think it was partial overreaction. Personally I'd even be fine with platinum relics being required for something in a future game, if it's clearly communicated that it's intended for pros and not the average player. (probably not an ending, more like for example a Hard mode) Crash 4 admittedly fumbled this.

I get what you're saying, but can't you add an OPTIONAL file where it's somewhat harder? Where you at least add the flashback levels as a requirement for the first ending, for example...
