dunno if its just me, but all i really wanted was the "activating combat mode" line to be removed, and I downloaded the file for it, but for some reason it didn't disable the line at all.
Sorry for not replying sooner; Nexus didn't notify me for some reason! The issue is, your mod folder is just "mods" instead of "~mods" with the tilde character. Add the "~" and the files should be loaded properly.
Yeah, it has to do with the order in which Unreal Engine loads files. Adding that character to the folder name helps ensure that the files inside take priority.
I put the mods in the mod folder where specified and added the -fileopenlog to the launch options, but I'm still getting the new voice actors. Funnily enough, the battletalk mod works fine tho. Can someone help?
For us to help we'd have to see exactly what you've done and where, to make sure you haven't made any mistakes. Mind posting screenshots of your launch options and your mod folder?
I've since refunded the game and stuck to the emulated PSP version. But next time it's on sale I'll try adding the tilde character you suggested for the person above and see if that does the trick. Thanks.
I know you get a lot of requests to update this mod here for missing audio etc. But I would like to ask if there's any possibility of you making a similar mod for FF7 Remake? (the games old now but spoiler warning I guess) I would love to have Rick as Zack for that scene. some people ported CCR to Remake which is an improvement but its got nothing on the Original.
He made such a mod, formerly found here. Nexus forced a takedown due to """"""""""permission issues"""""""""" despite several similar mods proliferating here unabated. I managed to download the first versions of Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth's voices before the mod was pulled, they were surprisingly decent, but still needed much work/fine tuning. AI will do what Square US won't (respect their legacy cast/not sell them down the river in favor of Z-list television actor "talent").
Also seems to change his voice to the psp one combat - was hoping it only only silence the combat mode and conflict resolved without changing his voice...
Hi, I have some questions, today I installed the game and tried the newest voice mod for version 1.0.3, I noticed that after defeating the Behemoth, during the scene of Zack doing squats in the part where Angeal enters there are no voices, I understand that in the original PSP version this part does not have audio, but in Reunion there are voices, my question is: is this something that was left on purpose to be the same as the PSP one? or is it a bug? Wouldn't it be better to leave the new voices to fill in the dialogues that the original PSP ones are missing? What do the other Mods do apart from the main voice mod? Can they be used in conjunction with the main one? Is there a conflict if I put them all? I apologize if I am not understood well, I do not speak English and I am using a translator.
ok tl;dr from what i recall side characters and npc's in the original in the towns and certain cut-scenes had no voice acting.
and since you are swapping all the voice files of one game to another, its possible this means they don't have lines either because you can't pick and choose who you want.
so while i [personally] want to hear cloud, sepiroth, tifa, airis, and zack's og va's, if it means cutting the dialog of new characters or other important or side characters to do it like kunsei. then i [personally] wouldn't do it.
[the reason i bring up kunsei is im almost 100% sure will show up in the next game, or at least the one after. since he was mentioned in ff7r so he is a key character at the very least.]
i'm also like 99% sure that by swapping out the voices line it means other cut-scenes or characters who had no voice in the original but do in this one have no voice any longer.
meaning that scenes in the new version that have voice acting are just gonzo.
i hope this somewhat helped.
[edit: sorry if this is so jank im super tired and its like the middle of the night, so if you can't understand it i will try and elaborate further tomorrow.]
Thank you for answering, no problem, I understand what you tell me well, I had that doubt if it was something that was done on purpose or if it was a bug. Now I understand that it was something that was left for the mechanics to replace the audios, I asked it mainly because when I looked for the voice mod, I found one that using the original Svenchu mod as the base added the missing voices in the original PSP audio Using the new Voices of Reunion and AI voices for others, the author of the mod is Ritvikhukla, but that mod has already been abandoned and is no longer updated. I understand that doing a mod like this is not easy, thank you very much for doing this mod and continuing to update it.
Hey, love this. However, I want to add the limit break voices mod to it as well, but do I need that utoc patcher? do we have an installation guide? thank you
Alright anyone of the latest version for CC Reunion or 1.01 or 1.02 please test the mod and see if its working. I noticed versions of the game can mess with the Vo.awb and cause skipping audio

Nexus isn't wanting to do images right now, so here's the links:

Here would be the location of the .pak file.

Steam launch settings for -fileopenlog.
Kinda weird for it to have to be ~mods but oh well.
This time, "Conflict Resolved" is silenced, but not "Activating Combat Mode".
It seems to have swung the pendulum in the opposite direction this time. haha
Just wanted to let you know.
