Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that I will be releasing an Archive XL version of the ninja gear and the maxtac gear very soon. I currently only plan to do these two, but I may do some of the others in the future. Just expect them to be all separate mod pages this time.
The ninja gear will, for now, just be the default black and will include the Oda gear as well. It will also only be for male V since most of these meshes do not contain a female version and I do not posses the modeling skills to refit them to the female character's body. The three helmets that I will include, will work with female V though. There is also another awesome mod out there very similar to the ninja gear that is specifically for female V, so you can use that to fully capture the look if you're playing as a female character.
The maxtac gear will be for both male and female characters.
Most of the minor clipping issues will still be there because it is the same meshes, but some bugs like (balaclavas not hiding hair due to being in the face slot, etc.) will be fixed with this version.
Thank you to everyone who downloaded this mod over the past couple years! I greatly appreciate it and sorry for taking so long to give you an Archive XL version.
Since I'm seeing a lot of the same questions or general overall confusion, I figured I'd try to answer some questions and clear some things up.
Q1: How do I get this to work? What am I doing wrong?
A: In order to use this mod you need to place the included files in the mod folder where Cyberpunk 2077 is installed. And yes I mean the files, DO NOT place the folders where some files are contained in the mod folder because it won't work. I have included several different options for you to use, that is why there are several folders with files.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc" this is the location of the mod folder for me, it may be different for you depending on where you have installed Cyberpunk 2077. In the pc folder you will also see the content folder, if you do not see the mod folder simply create a new folder and name it "mod".
Q2: What are the codes listed for each item in the txt file and in the description? How do I use those?
A: Those codes are the items in game that my files replace. For example Game.AddToInventory("Items.StrongArms",1) is the item code that refers to Gorilla Arms, so when you place one of the glove files into the mod folder, Gorilla Arms are now changed to gloves when they are equipped. Now if you download another mod called "Cyber Engine Tweaks" you can bring up a console on your screen when in game, and type that code into the console. Once you do that and hit "Enter" that item will then be added to your inventory. And no you do not need Cyber Engine tweaks to use this mod, you could find most of the items normally, but I would not recommend that.
Q3: Why is only one specific item listed as changed when this replaces several items that use the same model?
A: Each file replaces the entire mesh for an in game item. The ones that I have listed I am sure work because I have tested those specific ones. For example I know "Game.AddToInventory("Items.Nomad_01_Set_Mask",1)" works for the entire Militech/Arasaka mask and helmet because I have tested all the other masks. If you were to use another mask in game then certain meshes would be missing, like maybe the face part for the Militech helmet or the part that covers the ear for the mask. That specific mask listed, has every submesh.
Q4: I added all the files to the mod folder, but I'm not getting the look I want. What did I do wrong?
A: I included txt files with each download, in those txt files you will see something that looks very similar to what you see in the description. You must examine the txt file carefully to determine which items you want to use and which items you don't want to use. Refer to the images to get a good idea of what might be what and the look you are going for. In the txt file you will notice that certain options replace the same in game item, which means both of those files cannot be used at the same time. Each file has a _H, MS, OT, T, L, or F at the end. That is just to remind you that item replaces a head slot, mask slot, outer torso slot, torso slot, leg slot, or the feet slot.
Q5: Why can't I get this to work with my female V?
A: Female V has limited options right now. Most of the Max Tac options are there and there are a few for the Cyber Ninja, but that is it for now.
Hopefully I answered most of the questions everyone has had. I appreciate everyone taking the time to download or view my mod! Thanks!
I'm able to replace the different pieces of gear with the ones in this mod. But, for some reason pieces of the old gear it's replacing has floating pieces remaining.
Can some1 point me out the exact files for red glowy decals on the vests?? (I don't wanna glossy black+red full set, only vest part).. I have loaded camo version first, and I can't change my vest for some reason- aka removed all camo vest files, loaded ones from glossy black, but the vest stays the same like on camo versions (aka no decals or white no-glow decals), Thanks!! Small edit: No, replacer works perfectly still, even on 2.13, and no, models are not "low quality", depends on your game settings, and with ultra textures everything looks fine to me. The only thing is that balaclavas not showing up for some reason under the helmets for me, but I just installed separate balaclava mod and it fits perfectly still.... Also, is it ok, if the vest is not visible in first person?? I know that it might abstract my vision and "be annoying", but I wanna try full immersion with gorget visible in fpp.. is it possible to make it visible? PS: thx to the author, finally after a long time without good pc, now I can enjoy my very own saka gang.
Can you make another version of the black ninja legs and replace the pouches with the black plate armor from the glossy black arasaka elite soldier legs?
