i know, just realized this myself after getting skippy back from Reggie and finding this mod when searching for WB skippy... maybe the mod authors can collab cuz thatd be awesome
thx, awlays loved skippy and been sad when have to give him back and then get back a "husk" without personality, or keep him and only thing he ever again says is "bad user! BAD USER!" -.-
getting a buff ontop is even more awesome since Skippy, as awesome as he is, sadly always felt a bit underpowered.
u think it would be possible to make a version with chem + explosive in one? or chem + XMOD2?
uhm, but in this particular case you can eat the cake and keep the cake too you know? i mean _without_ mods, like clean clean. you need basically 2 things: one, skippy will reverse and then keep the setting, so if your 1st choice is "stone cold killer" then the permanent one that will stay after headshotting 50 or so people will be the "puppy loving pacifist" (who loves maiming people tho). secondly, when giving him back to regina, you go into interaction with her and motion to give her the gun (click the dialogue) and then immediately go to equipment and drop (x) skippy. the interaction will go forward and mark the quest as done. it's not a popular knowledge but it has been mentioned on reddit and on youtube. i tried it too, it's not even so difficult. i just forget now which it was - you have to keep skip in the equipment or does he need to be equipped? well, you can always save before and try. or read more on the internet.
cool! never heared that one before, and sadly i just found out right after this that the guns of this mod arent "our" beloved Skippy anyways, they dont talk or interact at all -.- so defo gonna give this new info a shot!

EDIT: seems they fixed that somehow, i have clicked the dialouge option and instantly opened Inv, but Skippy cant be droped as its a quest item -.-
Glad to see improvements to Skippy! Looks like it will be a more viable weapon now lol. Do you have any idea if your mod is compatible with Welcome back my dear Skippy? Would love to have both! Also, I obviously need to have the Phantom DLC for the Blackwall variant, but is there any issue using the rest of the mod without the DLC?

- It is not compatible because my skippy mod have different technical baseID's. Honestly I tried to install "Welcome back my dear Skippy" but did not work for me so I did not bother to test if it will work if you change the baseID on that mod.
- Yes, for the blackwall version you need PL dlc. Other version will be good on vanilla game.
Thanks for the answers! Yes, I've tried it now too. Sure it would be great if all the SKippys talked lol (maybe that could be looked at?;) but I was more concerned about them conflicting. And they play well together! So, all good. The files don't seem to effect each other. Yay! And I will be getting the DLC soon, but it's great that this mod (all but Blackwall) works without it! Anyway, thanks again, enjoying the mod! Endorsed.
