I've seen this bug with multiple car mods now, including the C-West Kit Skyline R34. Could you explain what's causing this issue? I assume it has to do with the fix for the hair shadows, as before 2.0, both the hair and the car shadows were fine, and when the hair was borked, car shadows worked.
Its not a bug, all thats required is to enable RTX shadow casting where required on the mesh files.
I expect its just that the mod authors were probably not using RTX themselves when they created their mods, and so didn't notice its absence. Tho maybe something was changed in engine to separate the shadow casting, requiring the RTX option to be enabled post 2.0. I really can't say for sure and I'm not familiar with the hair issue.
Highlighted both WolvenKit RTX checkbox in green: In this mods example, quite a few mesh were enabled: Main body, doorsx2, door windowsx2, fenders, tail, trim, trunk, bonet, wheels, tyres. I didn't enable objects that didn't catch the light; engine, exhaust, steering wheel, internal components...to avoid any unnecessary calculations.
Thanks for the detailing mod.You have successfully solved the problem of no shadows under lights at night, even when the weather is cloudy. Excellent.I tried to copy your method of adding shadows to another mod, this is the first time I have used the Wolven kit.I opened the archive file in Wolven kit, went to Cmesh and checked the castsRayTracedShadowFromOriginalGeometry and useRayTracingshadowLODBias items.I clicked on the green arrow (install) in the top menu and also checked the loading order in red4-conflicts and started the game, but it was not prospering.I need advice on the procedure after checking the items.Thanks.
Please allow me to ask a stupid question: Since a fix patch can be released for this vehicle module, does it mean that this module should still work normally? But I cannot use this mod, the virtual car shop cannot read the car, and the CET code cannot add the vehicle. I made sure all the prerequisites were installed. Hope to get help. I love this car very, very much. I've managed to solve this problem. By modifying the yaml file.
Thank you for making this mod, this car is great and it's good to be able to use it again! I noticed in-game everything from the car seems to cast shadows but one thing I noticed that doesn't, is the front spoiler, thought I'd let you know.
EDIT: the silver version is the one without shadow from front spoiler (that I know of) https://imgur.com/PWuIXt6
How did you end up fixing the front bumper shadows? I plan to do the same for a different mod. Also not sure what to set the console bias for each mesh, is it just 0 for everything so long as the RT options are enabled?
Wulf - I only enabled both RTX checkbox on the mesh file(as per picture), which I'd missed in my previous workflow. I didn't need alter the ConsoleBias from the parent mod, which was set to 1.

Edit: Also works fine with rastetized shadows!
