Hey, love your work and have loads of your mods. And now the question Not sure if it's on my side or something else, but was wondering if this could work with custom spawned vegetation, In particular Pinky's Vegetation Pack (not sure if all props or some are not affected can provide a photo and some prop names for example). Anyway thank you for your awesome work 🤗
f*#@, man. you're asking for pictures in the high double digits, lol. it's basically the entire park in downtown centre. if you REALLY still want pictures, i'll get 'em. though, i have a better idea. just tell me the times you're available and we can take a stroll down cyberpunk lane and i'll show you with my own OCD eyes what shadow fuckery's still lurking
CDPR did something with lights and shadows as indicated by sammi in their ultra+ mod, so it's perhaps that very same meddling by CDPR that's causing this mod to go wonky in 2.12
honestly the correct answer here is not that you 'consequentally' somehow fixed the shadow bug, rather explain that "it's caused by the world position offset not accounting for wind properly" quoted from sammilucia's Ultra+ PT mod. Because I got the wrong idea that you unintentionally coded smth that it fixed shadows and that this feature could be split, while having the wind working.
Again, pretty sure that it is clear in the description what this mod does and, as you requested, there is a separate tree version. You'll note that the word 'fixing' is in quotes to indicate that it's not a fix but a workaround. Removing wind is the workaround. Not sure how the title wasn't clear enough:
A more technical response would be that I removed all but one neutral frame from the SpeedTreeWind parameters in the tree's mesh header, effectively removing the trees animated motion that was out of sync with the shadow mesh geometry. The framed animations are to give an impression of wind, regardless of weather or not the simulated wind is affecting them. Unfortunately, I am only closer to guessing what the actual cause is and offered this workaround for those that dislike the visual bug, even if it does make trees lifeless.
If I ever find an actual solution, I will certain share it.
well just so you know no beef here, I simply asked the question. Yes it is clear what it does and it wasn't the word fixing or quotes that gave this impression but rather the word Coincidentally under description tab. So, naturally, I asked if by any chance that functionallity could be separated for shadow bug only, as the initial intention of the mod was dealing with smeared folliage. That's pretty much it.
Awesome, I downloaded the Tree only version, and it removed the long pitch black streaks on the palm trees caused by RT/PT. Thanks a lot for this and all your other great mods @theCyanideX

Sadly doesnt fix the shadows problem on trees for me :( Still getting this in the video above. Anyone knows what can be done with this?
